is not that good
Is not that good
open world game with Zelda slapped on it
Were we overdue for our hourly breath of the wild thread?
Its a tremendous technical accomplishment, but all it really did for me is highlight how limited video games are when it comes to making dynamic worlds.
Okay.
>mfw unhappy with the empty over world
>sequel soon oh shit
>reuse the same map
only zoomers pretend to worship this shit
last one just died so we're doing minutely i guess lol
Fucking cardboard. Why even.
GOTD
Ya seethe little guy
because it's fun?
I would buy it if I didn't have to choose between eating or new videogames.
just eat your video games simple
You didn't like Majora's Mask I guess.
Yeah, it ain't good.
It is absolutely marvelous.
>40/40
>20/20
the fuck is this shit?
>what is nintendo bonus
dilate
>Its a tremendous technical accomplishment
>NO MOM IT DOESN'T COUNT!
cope
>this desperation
Majora's Mask is an entirely different game world though? The didn't recycle any of the dungeons or areas, only the character models. And this was only due to time constraints.
They're reusing Hyrule in BoTW because according to Aonuma, they had too many ideas for DLC. So rather than release more DLC they're just making another standalone game in Hyrule.
MM didn't reuse OOT's Hyrule
>vidya """journalists"""
come the fuck on man
It basically did. Just about everything aside from a few new characters and items is assets from OoT, even if you don't recognize it.
MM used the entire engine and majority of all the assets of OoT.
Also, I really would love to see your source for the claims that BotW2 will even be on the surface of Hyrule.
It's a solid 7/10.
frogfags are guaranteed to have shit opinions
Yes he's clearly speaking in some esoteric language by showing the exact same map in the trailer and saying it's going to be taking place in the same world. You definitely won't be exploring Hyrule's surface!!
Also yes it's not news to anyone that MM is on the same engine as OOT but the similarities stop there. Termina is a vastly different area than Hyrule.
reusing character models =/= copy-pasting the same overworld from the previous game. Termina is structured completely different compared to Hyrule with Clock Town alone
Sonyshills in full force today
remember to sage and report
That game's reused assets were mostly just character models
It's a solid betterthaneveryotherzelda/10.
>There are environmental assets, items and characters from Oot used in-
>"Oh so it just uses characters? That's not copypasting!"
Yes it is. Just because everything isn't in the same order and place doesn't not make it the same asset.
>2 threads
>full force
do you enjoy being slow?
>journo scores matter now
glad we agree TLOU is a masterpiece and 2 would be even better
I enjoyed it but I prefer ALBW, it just has so much charm in my opinion and it mixed in the classic Zelda elements alongside the new ones really well. Only issue is the difficulty
It was a solid 9/10
Hoping they use this Zelda as base for all future ones.
Not him but you're doing some serious mental gymnastics.
Using a lot of the same graphical assets is not the same as flat-out using the same map, not even fucking remotely. Of course Aonuma's words are vague and we should reserve judgement until they show actual gameplay footage, but don't defend the worst case scenario.
do you explore OOT's Hyrule in MM? No
was every location from it reused for MM? No
it's not comparable
It's worse than every Zelda except WW.
Yeah, termina was vastly inferior to hyrule
I disagree, it still beats out Skyward Sword any day since I personally hated how sluggish the motion controls felt at times. Not to say BOTW is perfect since it certainly loses its luster after a while.
hi eric STILL haven't killed yourself I see
bump
Im sorry you're still seething over TLOU being considered one of the best if not the best game of last gen but sooner or later you'll learn to cope with facts :^)
Zelda games I have played:
>Zelda ||
>Zelda link awakening
>OoT
>Majora
>Twilight Princess
>Skyward Sword
>Breath of the Wild
Zelda games I consider very good
>Breath of the wild
>Oot
Zelda games I considered good
>Majora
Zelda games I have actually finished
>Oot
>BOTW
The rest were bad.
Im excited for BOTW2
nobody cares about TLOU lol
>OoT better than MM
bait
ok
didn't ask
I recommend ALBW, that game needs more love in my opinion
>open world game with Zelda slapped on it
Except all the journos and publications which gave it the game of the year award, stay seething sweaty :)
Mm is for a very specific type of people.
Im not one of those. I don't like working, MM felt like work. Very tedious with the whole
>ops you missed your deadline, please start over!
I get its a good game, I just don't like it.
it's bretty gudd :DD
>>ops you missed your deadline, please start over!
Did you actually play Majora's mask?
>Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar, etc. have been making open world games for a decade or even longer
>genre is stagnating
>Nintendo shows up
>having no background in AAA 3D open world development, they decide on a whim "Here, let me try that"
>right off the bat, Nintendo make the best open world game ever made, on their very first attempt, using a fucking toaster.
This will never not be hilarious.
BotW has plenty of things they should fix. But it was still better than any Aonuma game before it.
For the sequel, keep the huge world and focus on exploration. Replace shrines with traditional temples/dungeons (or a huge underworld you can explore). Have less weapon slots, but increase weapon durability. You can use minerals/items to fix weapons. Remove Koroks and just have set slots from the start. Get rid of cutscenes and focus more on NPCs telling the story. And replace the shit music, giving it the strong themes of the old games (preferably getting Kondo back). Then it could possibly be the best Zelda game ever made.
Inverted song of time triples the amount of time you have
>Nintendo make the best open world game ever made
Not when Gothic 2 exists.
Yes? How else would I know you have to follow NPCs routines to complete their quests? Very boring.
Using ugly characters like Deku or Gordon's are also not appealing in the least.
how many more times will this be posted
lol get out of here with that shit grandpa
When it stops being true.
>Nintendodrone mad because his game is shit compared to a game made 2 decades ago by 20 germans in their basement
LMAO
>How else would I know you have to follow NPCs routines to complete their quests?
gee I dunno
When it comes true
And you are still going to miss sidequests unless you follow a guide.
It's not a problem of how much time you have available, the problem is the concept of the game is traveling in Time back and forth, which is inherently boring and tedious.
It's like the shadow temple in OoT multiplied by 6 million.
it already wasn't true given Monolith Soft played a large part in helping the game's world design come to fruition and they have a background in open world JRPGs, making the part about "no experience" false
holy shit seething lmao
>And you are still going to miss sidequests unless you follow a guide.
lol git gud. This is only really a problem with the couple's mask which is the point.
now this is cope
Yes thats why they're making multiple 500+ post threads everyday for three years about it. LOL
not an argument
does it matter? You're still seething
Yeah, I don't like the point hence I never finished. Gimmicky zeldas aren't my style.
>git gud
Nah, would rather play something more fun.
Like I said, I get its a good game. But it isn't for me. I don't like working.
He's right, Monolith has experience with making open world games and they took part in the map development, so if anything you're the one coping
Maybe because there is no other shit game to talk about. LMAO
I like the game retard, I don't like the pasta
>sequel team
You should read what you post, there is no relation to your link and the pasta.
I beat the entire game without a guide or internet when I was 8
And i dropped the game because it was boring when I was 9. Two decades later, I tried it again when I showed the game to my youngest step-sister, and it was still bad.
>remove the shit music
the rest of what you said would be good. The music in BOTW is fantastic, especially the overworld theme.
