Been playing way more games since getting the switch, just like I started reading more after getting an ereader
Just finished a 7 hour BotW session. After 115+hrs I'm still not close to done, there's so much to still explore, lots of side quests, about 30 shrines left, 500+ koroks, several armor sets, a few memories, lots of DLC quests and just running around the world in general since it's just fun to play and Link feels amazing to control.
Tropical Freeze is an actual masterpiece but tough as shit towards the end, Splatoon 2 is a fun and addicting take on online shooters with a really unique style, fantastic music too. Other than that I'm really enjoying Virtua Racing and Outrun
And Horizon Chase Turbo, my fucking nigger. One of the best looking games I've played on the Switch

That being said, SMM2 has been fucking fantastic. I always wanted to play the original, but I never had a Wii U. It's a great pick up and play game that fits the portable nature of the console really well.

Yep, can grab them for relatively cheap on amazon. But do mind you need to be somewhat careful with it since there are ribbon straps and all. Also the plastic shell isn't perfect and may require some grinding also for it to fit perfectly.
Overall I still found the process to be quite easy, but I'm used to this sort of stuff.
Just follow a youtube video guide and you should be fine.

I was considering buying Mario Maker or NSMBUD digitally, but I don't know anymore. I have Kirby and Dong Freeze digitally as well. Not very into indies but I heard Hollow Knight is great.

I liked Xenoblade for the Wii and really wanted to be excited about XBC2, then I saw the fucking game and its just cringey waifu shit. No amount of good gameplay can take that away.

I very much enjoy it.
Currently do contractor work 400km from home. I can just play my switch on the train ride and at night in my hotel.
Can even hook it up to my hotel TV and play on a big screen if I like.

Honestly didn't expect to have this much fun with it. Can only recommend.

having sub native resolution in 2019 is a disgrace. 720p is a 2012 standard and Switch is struggling even with that.

HIGHLY recommend Hollow Knight. Fucking fantastic game, it can get a little annoying in the end game stuff like path of pain, but it's put together incredibly well.
Also in terms of Mario Maker digitally, just do whatever you want user, when I go out I put all my switch games in my case, so I can switch em out if needed, although I usually don't. I just don't like the idea of buying additional space, I only really buy indie titles digitally.

CTR runs at 30fps on switch doen't it? It sucks because otherwise I think it'd be my version of choice as well, being able to play on the go would be nice. 30fps for a racer is a bit rough though, I think I'll keep waiting for the PC release.

i'd get new joycons or maybe a pro controller if i had any games on the thing, finished odyssey, gave up on botw and i only have crash n sane trilogy, and i don't want to pay like 50 or 60 out of pocket for a new controller just to play one game

It's 30fps on every platform and PC won't be released for another year if Reignited and N.Sane are anything to go by. That being said it is supposedly the best platform for sticking to 30

No, its and action rpg. Not like kingdom hearts though, it starts off like an mmo with recharging moves, but slowly gets more complex and fun to play as you progress, if that sounds interesting and you have a soft spot for cheesy anime tropes, you'll probably enjoy it.
