are those solar panels?
Yes.
LIVE FAST EAT ASS
Based Empire uses renewable energy
#Resistance uses gas guzzling dinosaur ships that can't even handle multiple jumps on a single tank of fuel.
X-wing with FEMALE pilot
wouldnt the cuts be incredibly superficial
This... image makes no sense.
arent the "glass" panels made from like transparisteel? how is it supposed to shatter
Judging by how we see lightsabers act when cutting through dense material that thing would just bounce across the surface.
You'd do so much more damage by simply using the X-Wing.
Need a really big gun?
Tie Clusterfuck standing by
How do you go from this stylish mother fucker to dinky ass cardboard TIE shit?
yes but can you tank?
>that poor stormtrooper pushed against the canopy cause the cockpit is so small
The Tie evolved from the V-Wing and Jedi Starfighter.
When will people wake up to the lies they've been told?
It still makes no sense why the Republics successor would ditch all their existing armaments and not even modify them to keep it up to date. Pretty huge ass waste of tax payer money.
Also. Can someone explain to me if the Republic had no Army before the CIS movement. How did they amass a fuckton of star destroyers and drop ships? If it existed before, then who the hell manned them?
Near the end of the war the Empire was really running out of ideas.
The Incom T-65 X-Wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shielding make it the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron.
lightsabers can be infinite range if the jedi wills it so. because star wars is a fantasy merch vehicle property for exploiting children.
This classic convertible is a relic from a galaxy far, far away. Equipped with cluster missiles, this extremely heavy armored vehicle is perfect for beating the poodoo out of any Imperial forces.
> How did they amass a fuckton of star destroyers and drop ships?
they built one and cloned it
Massive doctrine change. The Arc-170 is a multiman fighter bomber. The Tie is a high speed and high maneuverability fighter that out classes what most planets can field. The need to fight a massive galactic war is no longer needed so they shifted their equipment for policing actions. Their main problem becomes insurgence, pirates, and the odd rogue planet. A single planet doesn't have the power to launch a massive campaign against the Empire. The Tie goes along with the new capital ships like Star Destroyers. Star Destroyers work around the idea of force projection. It has a enough fighter power to deal with any other single ship that it may encounter and can launch a decent sized number of fighters and bombers. It also carries a sizable troop compliment and the support craft to deal with a small force on a planet. The Star Destroyer acts a mobile base for the Empire to help police that millions of planets across the galaxy.
Excellent post.
Just like my japanese animes!
>Star destroyers
Man that sounds so kickass and intimidating, why dont we name our ships like this? Instead it's just a bunch of names of old men like U.S.S RONALD REAGAN
You calling for me Sir?
Just a reminder

I like the one where its basically the TIE fighter but reverse with one solar panel in the middle and two cockpits on the sides
2:45's always been my favorite part. Recoveries under pressure are always cool.
The British took all the good names.
I fucking love Empire at War, I've played it since it was first released.
Awakening of the Rebellion just released a new version of the Mod, it's fantastic.
The Bizarro? Don't forget it's a drone.
Fuck the pubs and fuck the imps. CIS 4 lyfe
Fucking nice, can anyone spoonfeed me the best Star Wars dogfighting game?
We will continue our destruction of the Emperor's military industrial centers. Soon he will have nothing but his pitiful Force to rely on.
>made it to canon timeline
>empire can't produce it because shipyards were destroyed and the admiral in charge got banished to who-knows-where
>is better
That was based off the TIE fighter game, but dogfighting's kind of iffy in all the star wars space games.
>That feel when there's a guy who works at the Taco Bell near me who has a Sith Empire tattoo on his elbow
>Not the Galactic Empire, the Sith Empire, aka the Empire whose structure is constantly fucked up by the Sith killing each other in power bids
TIE Fighter
>why dont we name our ships like this?
Because of MUH PATRIOTISM
>dies to darth kaede and emperor tsumugi's plans
get wrecked
can't have the antagonist to be too tough or else they would have to actually write their characters to be intelligent
Ah yes, the Empire that completely fucked up kotor 2's story.
Order of the One Sith was pretty metal, albeit unrelated
Zaarin's death always makes me giggle.
youtu.be
Fuck off back to /vg/
Honestly I don't get why the people who wrote Old Republic stuff depicted Sith as being completely incapable of working together
Star Destroyer is a class of ships, not the name. We do have destroyers.
Palpatine did his best to keep the fight going as long as possible, so he obviously pulled some tricks up his sleeve to delay CIS advancement. But you also gotta keep in mind that the Confederacy and its Separatist hierarchy was not unified or had every faction joined the war from the start. The war didn't really start until Geonosis and the deployment of the clones.
like in the other one where they discontinued it because guy who developed it () was a filthy traitor
Were the jedi right to get involved?
Hey now, most Beam Sabers in the gundamverses are powered by tiny little batteries, Epyon's Beam Saber is hooked up directly to its fusion reactor
>Were the jedi right
Has never happened ever.
Tarkin doctrine. Overwhelm and subdue.
A lot of the republic stuff got shifted to the outer rim and low threat areas in the EU, but I don't know what the mouse has to say about it now.
I want more Sith. The rule of 2 is getting tiresome
Working for the Empire is peak wageslavery
FIGHT AND DIE FOR COURASCANT SPACER
affirmative?
That's why chaotic evil characters are most of the time written like shit. That's why lawful evil is the superior evil alignment.
They weren't, but they've been acting as the Republic's monk police force for so long it blinded them. The war slowly corrupted the entire order, causing many Jedi-related incidents. With the Jedi Order turning into a praetorian guard and a seemingly unprovoked attack on the innocent chancellor, people weren't exactly surprised to hear the order had been disbanded by force.
For every step rebels made foward, it took two steps back.
Maybe I'm just a bitter cunt but the Defender always struck me as a mary sue ship.
>It's stronger AND faster than every single other ship in the imperial and rebel fleet and it has perfect stealth and only the most elite badasses get to fly it and it's so perfect and strong and amazing AND it has three (3) solar panels so it's better than any other TIE!
Please release a new Rogue Squadron game.
Remember LAIR lol.
I love the naboo starfighter, the sleek body, the vibrant yellow and shiny silver, the weird n64 controller shape, it looks like a classical car from the 50's or something, idk it looks like ship that was made around that time.
Sucks you can only use it in 1 map in ea battlefront 2
>Remember LAIR lol.
I don't remember. Remind me.
Wait a minute, those aren't lama su's eyes.
Yeah but it's expensive as fuck. If you throw enough money into a project, I'm sure you can surpass the Defender too. Just look at the Ginivex fanblade or even the ETA-3. I'm sure they can hold their own against the Defender, if not beat it, but they're specifically for the best pilots because of how damn pricey they are.
We do name our weapons very empire-like things, though. Hellfire missiles. Predator drones.
The game which singlehandedly killed factor 5.
Why didn't he just activate the cloaking device in normal space and then decloak out of range of any ships able to stop him in time?
And what was his and the other traitor (Harkov?)'s motivations anyway? They didn't seem like idealists, and the Rebellion was not a good bet at this point
The game relies heavily on the PlayStation 3's Sixaxis motion controls. The player flies the dragon by tilting the controller, with additional moves also using motion sensing; one such example is fighting a dragon by tilting the controller to match the enemy dragon's flying height, and then slamming the controller left or right to knock the dragon sideways and out of the battle.
>oh
According to the guy that use to be in charge at Factor 5 it was Superman that killed the company.
suicide bomber on treads
Wouldn't the speed applied with the pressure of the material she's cutting make her lose her grip of the lightsaber? Or worse rip her arm off or dislocate it?
When Qui gon was cutting a door, something way smaller compared to that ship, it took some considerable amount of time and rotation to cut through it and get it open, I find hard to believe she'd be able to do that with a ship that size, also outside of windows, even if she extended the size of her laser sword, it would still have no effect on all the metal it has to go through to even effect the ship somehow, it's not paper thing sheet of metal like battle droids that cuts like butter. And even if she broke the windows with the lightsaber, the windows have a auto security seal in case it breaks.
This image makes no sense even if it's make believe because of the rules that the films have set...not that it matters anymore.
They're the perfect vehicle for running over your own troops.
>Spend most time in hangers with no sun
>Not as self sufficient as X-Wing anyway
They make more sense as energy storage units than actual energy generation.
The movies are pretty inconsistent with how easily lightsabers pierce heavy armor. Luke slashed open that AT-AT with one hand pretty easily. Qui-gon struggled with both hands against something that couldn't have been too much thicker than AT-AT armor.
That pic is full retard no matter what you think though, even if the ship's hull was made of literal butter, at those speeds she'd lose grip or break her wrist
Who cares anymore, though
>Limited Run games is rereleasing a bunch of Star Wars/Lucasarts games
>Rogue Squadron 1 2 or 3 are not any of them
sad
It's meant to match up with the jet fighters that Germany started producing at the end of WW2, hence faster/stronger/better but incredibly expensive, very limited in number, and piloted only by top aces.
Kuat Shipyards are stupid fuck huge.
A Star Destroyer relative to them is as a light bulb relative to its factory.
I am not 100% that Kuat build SDs, might have been Sienar or something
I always assumed he just slashed some hatch that swung open
It was Kuat alright.
>wtf is g force
yeah, kuat = 99% of triangles
This is peak nu-wars fandom. I despise it with every fiber of my being.
I'm 90% sure Nintendo still has an exclusivity deal with those.
Gimme a Switch rerelease then, gosh darnit. I own them and still play them; I'm just being whiny I suppose.
I always entertained the idea that Imperial-class should be treated as mobile Roman base camp that you place into a planets atmosphere and its main function being Planetary ground support as a Troop Transport/Carrier and that Victory-class should be the pure bread Space Warfare ship as you can afford to make them smaller by not having to carry legions of ground troops and AT-ATs and what not, focusing purely as a Battleship/Carrier/Marines
I don't think that picture underestimates the scale by a magnitude or two.
What did Sienar or whatever built? The Walkers and TIEs?
How so? I believe you but want details.
Who handcuffed this boy?
Got anymore images like this?
>'Mary Sue' has been kicked from the server.
Nice, but it's showing that I haven't paid attention to this universe in a few years.
Oh my...
POST THE SET
>make it sideways and fuck heug
Sienar did TIEs and lots of other fighters.
Lightsabers can't cut through anything like butter. Like someone mentioned before, remember Qui-Gon trying to cut through the reinforced door. It was slow, because lightsabers aren't heated at an infinite degree. Trying to recreate that image would probably result in the equivalent of trying to tap a moving subway with a metal baseball bat, it'd just bounce back at you.
post the webm
Why are you morons posting lame ass ships when all it takes is a ship going hyperspeed to take it right down?
Heh *pushes glasses up* nothing personal Star Wars babbies
this one?
Yup, kek
By the way I'm bored and I bought the complete encyclopedia from 2008 so if anyone wants quick info on anything I can tell you...
I just want to justify the purchase since it's been sitting in my closet for a year
Post some AT-ATs
>Exports: Starships, Luxury Goods, Alcohol, food
There is no way any other planet could even come close in wealth.
from 2008
Sounds good, what does it cover? Film stuff or EU as well?
First 6 movies and most (if not all) of the EU up until 2008.
Does it have anything on Katarns ships like the Moldy Crow or Raven's Claw?
Kek. I remember seeing that in SW: The Clone Wars. I admire that detail.
Why are there no lawful evil Sith? There were some dickhead Jedi like that 4-arm guy from the Clone Wars cartoon on Umbara, but I can't recall any Sith being like "you know the Dark Side is fun and all but we don't HAVE to kill each other"
Yup. The Moldy Crow is "a dilapidated HWK-290 light freighter, captured and refitted by Rebels around the time of ANH. Kyle used the Crow to pay off a debt to Grappa the Hutt. It was later stolen by Dace Bonearm and IG-72, who later dumped it on Teth. It became property of Palob Godalhi, who gave it back to the Rebellion. Kyle used it until it was destroyed in Dark Forces 2, and was replaced by the Raven's claw (one sec for that article)
Because that's what the dark side is.
I mean I'd love to see a with character that was fleshed out, but the setting doesn't really allow it unless you want the MUH BLACK AND WHITE crowd to start crying.
As much as I dislike swtor, there were a few sith like that. Marr, Jadus, and Malgus were being smart until they (not jadus though) got shat on by later content.
Lucas Autism.
Roddenberry Autism was pretty bad for Trek too
My mistake. Surprisingly, there isn't anything on the Raven's Claw. Maybe because it didn't really have much of its own story besides "transported Kyle and Jan and later Jaden."
Thanks for the info.
Claw only appeared in Jedi Knight and Academy, so maybe that is why.
