Jesus christ

Jesus christ.

You guys should have played this game in 1998.

I played its superior sequel

Zelda is a game made for babies

*Standalone expansion pack

The dungeon design in Zelda games are so fucking awful
>shoot arrow in eye
>push block
>follow linear set of events to get item, then backtrack with item
Who actually thinks this garbage is good

I played both

I played it in 2007 and it's one of my favourite games

Pokemon Sword and Shield looking better every day.

You know it's really hard to make a game? You should cut Game Freak some more slack. Masuhda and Ohmori are working a whole 15 hours a week to ensure a quality product.

But I did.

I wasn't even born yet.

I wasn't alive in 1998

Not sure if I played it in 1998 or 1999 because we always got N64 games late as fuck over here. But I was absolutely blown away, even though I could barely read English at the time.

MODS

i was around a year old the day this released

There's no sequel for OoT you dingus.

kids born in 1998 are 21 now user

Impressive to do in 98 user

another empty soulless open world

the puzzles are just a minor part of most zelda dungeons. It has pretty good controls and good enemy design, thats what makes the dungeons fun.

I did. It was magical.

Nah, I'll just use going into games machine

Literally fucking everyone in 1998, since 3D games weren't all too common at that time, let alone ones made to as large of a scale as OoT was.

Good controls don't mean anything and the enemy design is the most simplistic shit in the world. Just spam attack or in other cases just wait a few seconds for a opening then spam attack. Wow great

Mario 64 graphics impressed me more and I got that earlier but Zelda's scope was pretty crazy at the time. I think I got a Sega Saturn the same Christmas I got the N64 and was also really impressed with Panzer Dragoon

Twilight Princess was a fuckton better.

I would agree with you if Ocarina didn't exist

Literally a Dark souls rip off

t.zoomer

That is unironically Dark Souls combat.

And yet you don't have to do any of that, you can just mash attack and win

Only Console players are impressed by trash

B-but muh soul...

there was nothing like OoT on PC at the time

>comparing Zelda to edgy zelda for gaijins

Yeah there were actual good games

I played it then and still thought it was awful.

>pcfags are still crying
Get over it lol

It's called having good taste.

half of Yea Forums wasn't even born yet

OOT will always be a shit game

Woah, this shot of Pokemon SS is looking pretty good

>play OoT for the first time in years
>kill enemies by turning off Z-targeting and holding up shield and poking them, a tactic i learned from speedruns
>beat bosses in 5 seconds

its makes sense if you were around at that time period. Games were limited with what they could do and this was one of the first games that translated from 2d to 3d and kept some of the same tropes and mechanics from the old games that players would recognize and understand.

Did, in fact had the gold cartridge that a friend lent me back when I was in my freshmen year of highschool, played the shit out of it and pokemon red on my gameboy color at the time.

**Superior standalone expansion pack

im surprised no indie or some kickstarter hasnt tried to make another OOT

Thief The Dark Project was superior in almost every single way.

Be honest, did you look up a guide to get Biggoron's sword?

Nope. Didn't have a computer, internet connection, nor any magazine subscriptions or handy game stores nearby.

The quest line is so easy, even a literal 10 yearold, non-English speaker could do it by himself. I'm a living proof of that.

>Majority of Yea Forums users were probably not even alive before 2000

Yes you can, but it will take longer, and do you want to spent your precious time on earth just mashing attack?

It’s a fucking stealth game

Maybe if the game was good they wouldn't have made the combat so shitty that you can just mash a single button with no thought and win

You still need to have some thought as far i remember.
They love to combine hitting the shield with back bounces and lava pits in that game.

>Worse dungeons
>Less content
>All of the sidequests are boring "Talk to X person at Y time of day" fetchquests except Romani's

Attached: 1552334231098.jpg (900x1200, 752K)

There's nothing but zoomers here now, they probably weren't even born yet.

We are truely lucky to have game freak innovating with each entry. Barren fields? Pokemon but big? What will they think of next?

Hitting the shield doesn't give you major pushback; you move a centimeter

>Majora's Mask
>Worse dungeons than OoT

You are dumb.

>Majora's Mask
>Better anything than anything else
You are dumb.

The game has better dungeons, they actually make use of 3D space. OOT dungeons are some of the worst garbage produce and the side quests are better than any of the trash in OOT

Attached: dungeon.png (2560x1440, 611K)

Around that time period as no excuse to shit level design

I played it then and now.

How did it hold up so well bros?

Shit back then and shit now

We're not talking about your personality m8 LOL dilate harder zoomzoom

Stay mad OOTard

No, but I had a guide for the Water Temple the first time I did it.

I disagree but I really enjoyed TP as well, I think the quality of the two games is closer than most people (on Yea Forums anyway) give it credit. I've only played the GCN version, mind.
