>1. The seeded hinting at the Dragon Isles throughout the expansion by Wrathion’s agents would make it seem as though the Dragon Isles would have to do with something more immediate than the next expansion. Next expansion hints tend to come in the form of assets for the next expansion “accidentally” being added to the game files to be datamined early. To my knowledge, Pandaria wasn’t heavily hinted at in-game in Cataclysm. In Pandaria, we didn’t see hints at Draenor. No one in Draenor asked where we might find the Broken Isles (though one item was named for Suramar, I believe). The only reference to Kul Tiras in-game that I can think of in Legion was a prisoner in Azsuna from Kul Tiras, though in-game it wasn’t hinted that Kul Tiras nor Zandalar were going to be particularly important next expansion. This could be their new method of seeded storytelling, though I think it’s more likely this is for something for this expansion, like the hints at Nazjatar and Queen Azshara as well as the mysterious junker gnome wreckage in Tirisgarde and the hints of ancient gnomes in Kul Tiras in the Drust ruins.
2. 2.One unique thing about Battle for Azeroth is landmasses seem to come in thematically distinct pairs. There is little similarity between Zandalar and Kul Tiras. They are both unique, separate continents. Nazjatar and Mechagon are so different that calling them contrasting would imply there was anything contrastable between them. Since we are likely going to Nya’lotha if we are to deal with N’Zoth in 8.3, perhaps Nya’lotha won’t be a mini-continent like Argus was where it was comprised of three zones. Perhaps Nya’lotha will be paired with the Dragon Isles, both with separate stories and themes going on that both tie into N’Zoth and perhaps the end of the faction war assuming that hasn’t occurred in 8.2.5.
3.All that we know of the Dragon Isles comes from old concept art that establishes it as being in some way related to the Old Gods. Unless the Dragon Isles has been completely reimagined by Blizzard and they just like the name and general location, it’s likely it’s still Old God-related. While it’s very possible it could had been reimagined, it’s suspicious that the Dragon Isles, supposedly an Old God island in concept, was only first brought up in lore during the expansion where we defect the pseudo-Old God Ghuun, travel to the Crucible of Storms, unleash Xal’atath, travel to Nazjatar and defeat Aszhara and presumably see the rise (and possibly quick fall) of N’Zoth.
4.It would be arguably irresponsible for Wrathion to be spending his time searching for the Dragon Isles while N’Zoth is on the rise if it has nothing to do with the Old Gods. While his methods leave much to be desired, few can argue that Wrathion ultimately has Azeroth’s best interests in mind (in the same way Illidan does). Unless he’s completely ignorant of N’Zoth’s return, which is unlikely, you would this his focus would be on N’Zoth and therefore the Dragon Isles must, at least in his mind, have some relation to the Old God.
5.While this isn’t a thread entirely focused on arguing that Battle for Azeroth is the Old God expansion, it is based on the assumption it is. Put simply there have been as many Old God related raids (Uldir, Crucible of Storms, Eternal Palace) in BFA so far as there were directly Legion raids in Legion (Nighthold, Tomb of Sargeras, Antorus). People had orc fatigue by the time Warlords of Draenor launched because of how long Siege of Orgrimmar lasted. Having two arguably Old God expansions in a row could be exhausting. Since we defeat Azshara in 8.2, the next logical step up seems to be dealing with N’Zoth (Though this becomes muddled since so far each of the Warbringers has been the final boss of 8.1 and 8.2, logically pointing towards Sylvanas for 8.3, but that’s beside the point. As we have seen with Sargeras, there are more ways to deal with big bads than directly fighting them.). I find it unlikely the next expansion is also Old God themed.
Clearly you fags do since every WoW thread 20 people come in and start screeching about how they don't care about WoW.
If you didn't care you wouldn't had clicked, let alone posted.

Why'd you click on it?

? It's Yea Forums, the designated shitting street of the internet. This thread is a perfectly good place to shit. This belongs back in /faggot general/, so go back to your ballpit.

The next expansion should be a full on old god expansion. They've been teasing nzoth since Cataclysm and it'll be lackluster and underwhelming to kill him in a patch during BFA. Next expansion should be the rise of the black empire while having another continent being all about the dragon aspects. I hope we get to see the other side of Azeroth this time around, theres only so many places hidden islands can pop up at.

I didnt ask why people care about WoW, I asked who can even begin to give a shit about the story and setting at this point. It's been so thoroughly raped that I can't understand where anyone finds engagement in "where are we going next" or what anything is "building up to."
But I guess you can keep being hyperbolic if it makes you feel better.

WoW lives rent free in the minds of haters

>Imagine playing retail being hopeful for Blizzard to make fun updates LOL
Ive seen like four different fake leaks over the last 24 hours. Whats up with that?
Either way the story and scenery was never the reason why people had a problem with the game. It needs gameplay changes and way more content.

>I can't understand where anyone finds engagement in "where are we going next" or what anything is "building up to." Some people like to have fun with the things they enjoy.

Sounds like welfare, much like the gear you're wearing I'm sure.
Camden Foster
Blizzard desperate to generate hype for their failing MMO. 8.2 didn't impress and people are already done with it. Gotta stir the pot.
Justin Richardson
I was expecting better than the you just hate fun song and dance, but I should have known better coming from someone who leads with "twenty people screeching about how they don't care about WoW" in response to a "who cares, the story is trash" post.
Connor Cox
They can't keep milking old God shit. We already thought this xpac was gonna be the old God xpac and it wasn't.
Eli Diaz
You think Blizzard is posting the leaks?
Leo Rogers
wrathion's agent was at the cave in highmountain in the new 8.2 content if you were observant enough to see him if you talk to him he says a line about his being there being none of your business and that his master has reasons i was positive blizzard outright forgot about wrathion until that point, i really hope they bring him back, he was one of the more interesting characters
Jaxson Anderson
It's not rare that companies leak details to generate hype. So who knows. What I do know is Blizzard is probably getting a bit worried about player retention.
Adam Ross
Which do you think are the 'real' ones then?
Matthew Lopez
Wrathion's agents have been doing stuff this entire expansion
Charles Williams
Which ever requires the least amount of effort and contains a dozen rep grinds, demonizing and killing an established character as well as using the dragon balls to bring another villain back from the dead. Oh an and equipment slot being occupied one item for the whole expansion with half-baked progression tied to it.
>Turns out she is trying save the world I typically don't care about WoW lore because it's retarded, but why would she burn down the world tree if she's trying to save the world?
