How do they do it bros

There's tutorials for walking mechs, but the idea is to use tow bars to connect the legs to the rest of the vehicle (and there's stuff to do with jets too). The mech walks by tilting the left analog stick from side to side.

Remote control vehicles use an exploit with detachers and tow bars. Essentially you make a vehicle , attach it by two sets of towbars (back to back, the middle ones connected with a pole) to a small vehicle section which is connected to the seat only by a detacher. If you detach the seat and release the towbars at the same time, then hold RB to reconnect Banjo, you can control the piece originally connected by tow bars by itself.

Banjo was originally intended to be an NPC character in Project Dream, which eventually turned into Banjo-Kazooie. He replaced the original human MC.
Banjo and Conker's appearances in DKR happened while both Banjo-Kazooie and Twelve Tails: Conker 64 were in development. The latter got delayed and overhauled, but he did get a GBC game featuring his original design.

That's like saying Sonic started as a Rad Mobile character because he appeared in that before Sonic the Hedgehog.
Banjo existed as his own entity before he was put in DKR.
Also, Conker's GBA game came out before Bad Fur Day and his character in that is the same as his DKR self.
