>the best assassins creed

such great heights

And why is that?

It truly was the most realized vision of what the franchise was all about: parkour, assassination, giant crows, historical accuracy...
It also was the only ps4 AC game that really felt next gen.

Such a shame the launch was absolutely botched and they released it glitched to fuck and back, because it essentially killed the saga and gave it to Ubisoft Quebec, which not only are incapable of grasping what AC is about, but work tirelessly against it.

i wish they'd bring back the unity parkour and combat system. that shit was so smooth and fluid when it worked

what the fuck who cares
play actual good games

adding too this

>uuhuhn fifa 2017 is the best fifa game of all time haha
you sound just like this a brit boi with no fucking standards. Argggg im mad at you for actually trying to rate the most copy and pasted game series ever made and thinking you are justified enough to make a thread on here, killing another thread that was no doubt more helpful to society than this trash heap

god, im walking away

It was fucking terrible. Too smooth, too fast. The character didn't apply force to jumps, he barely moved his members and suddenly he was doing a 10 meter jump. There was such a disconnect between character's actions and accompanying animations that it was painful to watch it. The jumps were fucking ridiculous and demanded too much suspension of disbelief.
First Ass Creed did it best, combine with 2's hook it would be perfect, but Ubisoft dun' goofed "streamlining" this shit to no end

The current state of Assassin's Creed is the same that is happening with many games forcing a battle royale mode just because it's the popular thing with kids nowadays instead of just being their own game with their own ideas.

Assassin's Creed had its identity, and while it might not be the most popular - which could be discussed since AC most popular entry is still AC2, which was just a perfected version of the original formula -, it was certainly unique.

Now it's just another Witcher 3 clone.

You must absolutely hate the new 'parkour' system, then.

i unironically agree , too bad its a fucking technical mess that went to far with the whole look at all these random meaningless npcs we can shove on screen also arno is a paper thin and characterless imo

I liked black flag better
But desu I couldnt finish Unity, maybe i should give it another try

nah when the secret council marched out and they were half niggers and women i said fuck off

From a purely gameplay based point of view, yes. It's pretty much a straight up remake of all of 1's core mechanics, more than any other AC before it. Funnily enough it's also the last "good" AC before it all went to even more hell.
Thankfully Désilets is making a new game after all this years and his team won the trial against Ubi for Amsterdam's rights, and he's expressed desire to make it. So in a few years be may get a classic AC's spiritual successor from the original master mind.

>based "AC had its own identity" poster

you know how I can tell you actually played assassins creed for the right reason? People shit on the combat being to easy but thats how i feel with most games I playe, at least it was fun and unique

AC3 was Assassin's Creed at it's peak.

The hook's from Revelations

It really is funny when you think about it. Saying you used to like franchises like Fallout or Mass Effect is accepted but there's this stigma around AC as if it was always a huge piece of shit when, while repetitive, AC1 was a huge deal back when it came out and pretty much solidified vidya mechanics that have since become a norm. Before 2007, being able to climb buildings with such realism was never done, both PoP before and games like Uncharted after went the "painted ledges" way. Then ACII came around and it was hailed as "the perfect sequel". Being on the Internet ten years ago, it was impossible to hate on AC, but then with the years it got worse, and funnily enough each year was more disappointing than the last one even when it felt like it was impossible. And now we have middle of the shelf RPGs

you're out of your fucking mind and I don't even hate ac3
