>Gimmicky melee system >all areas look the same >like 5 normal enemies and the rest are recolors >le ebic ridley fight >the only additional boss fight is a fucking gimmick >linear as fuck >hardly any worldbuilding or lore (although what very little there was was quite well done)
jesus christ. just play am2r. I have no idea what made nintendo think this was a good idea and it's making me worry for mp4.
Metroid was and has always been trash and Super Metroid is the single most overrated piece of shit ever made. Glad this franchise is dead.
Thomas Allen
>shitty 2.5 D perspective >lack of contrast between foreground and background make platforming needlessly tedious >godawful circlepad controls with no option to remap to d-pad
Samus Returns was pretty good. Can't wait for Prime 4.
Jaxson Wright
Parries destroy spacing games and the sooner people stop using it in their games the better we will all be.
Carter Hughes
the controls were alright imo. I especially liked the free aiming.
Elijah Myers
I'm not even a big Metroid fan myself, but here's your (You) anyway
Brody Collins
I'm glad you were fine with it, but I found it unacceptable. At the very least we should've had the option to choose. Who the fuck designs a game in 2017 that doesn't have any form of control customization?
James Parker
how could anybody consider this good. it was a 5/10 at best.
Levi Ramirez
Easy, by not being a bitter faggot. Life's pretty good when you can just enjoy things.
Lucas Perry
I agree with that much. like how the only control options in mp3 were the godawful gimmick motion controls. ruined what otherwise would've been a 9/10 game.
Adrian Campbell
I enjoy plenty of things. I loved AM2R, I loved a lot of other new releases this year, but this was just objectively bad.
Brody Myers
Didn't ruin MP3 for me, but I certainly didn't like how MP3 was more casualized in terms of its weapon variety as a result. Not having multiple beams and missile combos, no power bombs, etc. And I feel like I may be one of the few people who prefers playing MP1/2 with the original GC controls. The wiimote controls feel loose and sloppy, and there was literally nothing wrong with just using the lock-on. It works just like locking on in a zelda game or dark souls game, just in first person. It's not supposed to be a game about aiming anyway. That's not the point.
Ryan Anderson
I agree. motion controls in general are terrible unless they're done really well with the entire game designed around them. and yeah, prime 1 still stands as king for the prime games. I still like 3 more than 2 tho.
Blake Reyes
I got really mixed feels on MP2. The light world locations are some of my favorite environments in any video game, period. But then it's bogged down by how tedious and samey the dark aether segments are, not to mention the overreliance on "dude lmao find three keys" mechanics. And then there's beam ammo.
Angel Price
mp1 wins for me simply because of the amount of variety in the world. it felt more like an oldschool metroid game and less like a single place. in mp2 and mp3 the areas all kind of have the same feel to them. except the one steampunk type place. that shit was cool.
Grayson Gutierrez
Okay so I just finished Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion, was about to give this a go, but should I even bother? Just from the small amount that I've seen it doesn't look very good.
Ayden Kelly
>took a break >now don’t know what to do and forget the map
This is why Metroid and Castlevanias all suck.
Xavier Flores
Threads like this is why you doing get 2D Metroids anymore and I'm so glad that you fags will never get them again. Ungrateful dipshits
