I don't like healers. But tanks...people always except tanks to know content. But I prefer to play blind without guides. When tank is new and doesn't know tactic there is always meltdown in alliance raids/normal raids.

The expert dungeon mobs seemed to have a lot of fucking health. They hit around just as hard as they used to, but pulls were taking noticeably longer.

Could just be that there's going to be less DPS from the healer jobs now? Still seemed like pulls were taking around 1.5x as long as usual.

It has fantastic instanced group content once you reach level 50. Outdoor content is pretty bad. Combat starts bad and becomes just serviceable later on. However, the presentation and writing are some of the best in the genre and maybe even the industry.

If you're looking for a pure MMO experience where you can just run around and do whatever you want from the getgo you won't find it here. But if you're looking to be enveloped in an interesting fantasy world that resides inside a pretty decent game, then you're in the right place.

Hrothgar have fucking amazing animation quality compared to all the humanoid races. Jesus christ. Their facial emotes in cutscenes especially, but even their falling animation, the second of lumbering windup to their sprint animation, and the way their tail moves compared to Au Ra.

It's a bummer that they don't have a whole lot of facial options, but I definitely think they make up for it by looking amazing.

The Twelve were all real people, as you learn throughout the game at points, but they became legendary figures and indeed can function as Primals. One of the early 2.0 storylines was about a kid trying to summon Rhalgr to take back his homeland.

But as for how they affect character creation, they don't matter at all. They give tiny amounts of bonus stats that sort of affected stuff in 2.0, but are outscaled thousandfold by gear now to the point of LITERALLY not mattering enough to make a difference.

Honestly healing is the most stressful job in the game because you're expected to babysit retards while trying to figure out mechanics. And if you die as a healer the party is dead. If a tank dies you can insta res him and spam heals on the dps until the tank retakes agro.

Majority of people in this game are just shit at character creation. There's NPC Viera that look fine but the average player has zero design sense. They slap neon colored hair on their character and don't even try to make decent looking shade for their skin so everything clashes horribly. Either they do it to try and stand out or they're literally colorblind.
