I really want to buy one and get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Odyssey, BOTW and Pokemon and Animal Crossing when they come out. I can get it for £300 with Mario Kart and a £30 Nintendo voucher.

I would assume a fair amount of it is that the Wii U got dropped in favor of the Switch halfway through the game's production, so the dev team had to switch Nintendo consoles in the middle of production.

Astral Chain is looking great after the Treehouse footage.

I was also weary of it but only because the combat director of Nier was on it and I was ready to lower my expectations.

I pirated USUM and didnt bother with lets go. I just want to experience a new gen, since I've always enjoyed a new gen. If GF is still lazy and useless, I won't buy ULTRA sword n shield. However i will be a full on drone for a gen 4 remake since it's my favorite gen. But I'm sure GF will find a way to fuck it up

Depends on how much you plan on playing it docked vs in handheld mode, from what I heard most of the warping happens in docked mode. Mine is a little bent at this point but it hasn't really impacted anything aside from what it looks like when I look at it from the top.

This is a pretty common problem, I managed to fix it by following instructions online for cleaning out the stick. If push comes to shove they're pretty easy to replace.

I found it pretty boring and disposable. There’s so much on the eShop worth playing that it’s hard to recommend someone pick it up now. I just picked it up when all the Switch has was BotW and a small handful of indies.

Recently beat Dark Souls Remastered (my PS4 is in storage and E3 made me crave a Souls game so I bought it on sale on Switch). I loved it so much and now I’m lacking motivation in the other games I’m playing. I’m on the last case of JFA and know it’s well loved by the fan base but the opening investigation did not hook me. The train boss in Cuphead pisses me off. Undertale is sort of slow and dull to play even if I think the writing is occasionally quite cute. The Spider boss was the first real challenge I’ve had with it so more like that would be nice. Picross S2 is obviously kino but I can’t spend more than an hour or two on it at a time and don’t really play Picross games front to back in the same way as other games. Picross S lasted me from launch until now as a fun airplane diversion or occasional podcast supplement. I know I should just start Hollow Knight but I hate juggling too many games at once.

I'm playing Mario maker 2 way too much.
I probably need to take a break from it or ill burn out on it within a few days

I don't have a switch BUT I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on it with my friend who owns it all night yesterday, overall it was a pretty cool experience, even though he only has that game for now we had a ton of fun and made me feel like a kid once more, it was magical. We also laughed our asses off with the MII creator. People who talk shit about this console have to shut the fuck up and actually give it a try.

Playing BOTW and Blaster Master Zero.
Looking forward to the Grandia HD collection even though they are only digital. All the E3 stuff mentioned particularly Trials of Mana and Breath of the Wild 2. Always nice to see Panzer Dragoon return or any older SEGA IP. Dragon Quest XI with all the additions, kind of feels like how it was meant to be played since after VIII and before XI Dragon Quest has been on Nintendo platforms.

Lower res but smaller screen, it mostly balances out and I've found performance to generally be the same or MORE stable while undocked. I have:

The only case I've heard of where undocked performance tanks is Xenoblade Chronicles. You can also just plug the dock into your computer monitor. HDMI -> [THING] adapters are pretty cheap if you don't have an HDMI port for some reason. Headphone jack on the switch still works while docked so losing audio passthrough isn't even an issue.

It's a really comfy system and my favorite since gamecube.

I liked the 50 hours I sunk into BOTW but I dont love it. Maybe on my second playthrough I'll learn to play it faster or learn more tricks, but I dont love it as much as others do.
Virtua Racing feels lacking in content but its nice as a palate cleanser to turn my brain off with.

You can easily sell it for some good money on Ebay now, especially if you include some games. If you want to give it to Gamestop so badly I mentioned just waiting for PS5 because whenever a new console comes out you can trade in your old one for a pretty decent discount.
