I was always fond of Halo 2's Elites, especially the space ones with the neat helmets.
I still have a fuckton of the Joyride Studios Elite toys from back in the day.

Reach elites look pretty fugly under their armor.

Sure as hell wasn't Reach, I liked Halo CE-3 though, Reachfag, I was wonder why you bring this up all the time, it's not like it's going to start making us like Reach all of a sudden, Reach was shit and you need to go back to plebdit if you think it's the best in any way. You like Reach over all, you never liked Halo to begin with.

I actually sort of like the heads/faces of 343i elites, they sort of do the same thing reach elite heads were trying to do and make them look fiercer and more monsterous, but without being quite as divergent about it, since you can see in they look pretty ugly

They were tall and lithe and agile, as they should be. They were intimidating, but more in the sense of being your competent equal, not because they were scary monster men. They could be funny, they had those goofy ass screams and they very rarely spoke English. That "whoa check out this sweet tech bro!" pearly sheen made them look exotic.

Reach was a downgrade in many ways user.

I would kill to know what the original intention with Truth was and his actual goals.

The end of First Strikre implies he had a plan with the forerunner crystal shards, he doesn't seem to be actually religious, and he wanted the other hierarchs out of the way.

But then Halo 3 rolls around and he's written like a completely different character.

If 2 wasn't rushed we could have gotten them speaking alien when playing as chief, would have been another interesting difference.

That makes so much sense along with why after Halo 3 there was such a drop in quality in their games whether it was Halo or otherwise.

The first time I saw an Elite in Reach I busted out laughing at how goofy they looked, if they were supposed to be a threat, Bungie failed at making them one.

They wanted to move on after Halo 2. I believe Marty said they planned to make a game similar to Myth afterwards, but Microsoft pushed them to make games they were not wanting to work on. Activision fucked them over even more.

I prefer ODST to Halo 3 and CE, honestly, and think Reach is more or less on par if not a bit better then 3

You couldn't tell with Halo 2 or 3 because Microsoft was on their backs, you could definitely tell though with ODST and Reach is showed badly.

This. Hell, Destiny 3 is probably gunna be the last one. They'll finally get to make the game they want, and then they'll probably move on to something else.

I don't get what people's issue with ODST is.

I get why Reach is controversial even if I think Reach's good elements make up for it's bad ones/that 3 and especially CE have plenty of flaws too; but I seriously just DO NOT get what's bad about ODST: It's got one of the better stories and characters in the series, the campaign missions are all solid, it's got the best OST and atmosphere in the series, firefight is fun, etc.

What pisses me off about ODST is the bullshit death some author gave the Rookie

I felt like Bungie gave up and didn't want to make it, plus it was also 2 hours long mixed in with it being pretty boring compared the first three games.

How? Reach is literally Bungie trying to distance themselves from Halo in almost every single way. What the fuck is the appeal?

It's boring as fuck first of all. And that's including the vehicle missions. When you aren't walking quietly around Genericville you're doing uninspired missions that feel like tiny portions of a bigger campaign. And they aren't even the highlights of that campaign, they are third string and dull. The story is stupid, how can you possibly not think so? The characters are like 3 forgettable nobodies and Firefly hamming up a bunch of bog standard military game lines. ODST is the worst Halo game. Thank god it's all of 4 hours long. I had more fun with 4 and I hate 4.

ODSTis just like Republic Commando to me. I will never understand the love. Boring generic shit.

The first 3 all looked damn good in their own way. Reach is ok.

This, I'm just not seeing the appeal to either ODST and Reach.

I like 3 from a design perspective but I really fucking love the shimmery look to the CE armor
