Post games that can potentially change your life
It would if it had the guts to have an actual antagonist.
>The dad confesses everything and leaves instead of trying to silence you as you try to escape.
Explain.
It's a shitpost thread
yeah made me learn to never fall for indie trash and/or walking simulators again
Absolutely fresh fucking no, you terrific fucking faggot of colossally bad taste.
I enjoyed Firewatch quite a lot, it's just a shame it got hyped up pre-release. If it was a quiet indie release it could have been a sleeper hit.
Are you fucking retarded? Shitty walking simulator with no consequences and cliche story, wow so life changing I could walk in forest and see dead body wow how sad. Neck yourself
>leaves
He kills himself. The entire thing was a prolonged suicide note.
>I don't play games that Yea Forums tell me are bad
Complete drone, dude.
I bought firewatch on sale years ago and it was one f the most disappointing wastes of money I've ever had. Please play better games.
I did. I mean it was pretty nice for a single playthough, and the way it fell flat at the end was a brave choice ans suggested that sometimes, people just want things to be done and leave them alone.
But how life changing?
You mean if you shove em up your ass?
I remember how Firewatch was shown at either E3 or a Game awards show and the trailers made it look like some sort of weirdly styled occult mystery game, I thought some real spooky shit would happen.
But no it was just walking sim you could 100% in 2 hours, and then the game tried to sell you your own screenshots.
It does have that air of mystery.
But it's something you can never play again because the twist is gone.
Same difference. The whole plot just mehs out and you're just having a casual walk through a smoky forest instead of having to worry about some faceless npc rushing up and attacking you.
*rimshot*
Infra is much better than Firewatch.
This was better.
are you a girl op?
Admittedly very true. I suppose I’m ultimately upset that the twist existed, then.
any popular MMORPG for anyone who hasn't played an MMORPG before
this, ruined my life very well
>not on steam
why do devs punish themselves
>slenderman rip off being comparable at all
Every thread is a shitpost thread.
Either they don't bite, or they bite real fucking hard and suddenly it takes up 50% of their free time
most immersive walking sim i've played. peak source engine.
I still have no idea how I mustered the power to finish this game, It was probably because I disabled the voice acting and the subtitles it started to physically hurt by the end, fucking reddit cringe autism.
NO PEOPLE IN THE 80S DID NOT TALK IN QUIPS LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO GET THE MOST UPVOTES ON REDDIT
I was really surprise bu how long it was
>>slenderman rip off
You haven't even watched a pllaythrough, have you?
>NO PEOPLE IN THE 80S DID NOT TALK IN QUIPS LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO GET THE MOST UPVOTES ON REDDIT
Do you actually think no one poked fun at each other or joked around or bantered with one another in the 80s?
nope, this game was smeared in disgusting modern nu-male self insert bullshit
>hihihi I'm a useless fatass and random women stalk me and find me insteresting
"no!"
I've given a few walking simulators a chance and for me, the greatest one I've played is Observer.
>firewatch
is this game good? seems like a walking sim but i like the setting
you cant catch cancer from a game, good try though
This game made me a lot more careful about what I buy during digital sales. Does that count?
>watching other people play video games
Don't bother.
It fits the definition but it's pretty suited for the story it tells. You're a guy in a tower in the middle of nowhere, after all.
I got it to walk around a relaxing setting for a few hours, but the characters never stop talking and it's the most annoying shit ever, what an awful combination of cringe and onions
I felt it was a nice subversion. Can't imagine combat or stealth working well in that engine, seeing that it and games like it are essentially of the same ilk as traditional adventure games, and those tend to work best without combat.
it's shit, but the environment is great
It's better than making dumb assumptions like that user did. The games are nothing alike in any sense.
It's like taking a walk and trying to enjoy nature but some fatass is doing ASMR in your ear by reading his most upvoted reddit quips for the year
This game changed my life in that it made me forever ignore walking simulators. I couldn't believe that absolutely nothing happened in the end. And that it got near unanimous praise outside of here. Just walking around the woods for 4 hours discovering that everything that seemed mysterious was actually totally mundane. And the romance never goes anywhere either.
Isn't this the same game of which the creators illegally abused DMCA takedowns to copystrike Pewdiepie's playthrough? I don't give a shit about let's plays, but trying to censor people because you don't like them is shit that doesn't fly for me. I'm blacklisting these developers on Steam right now.
Someone remind what the twist was with this game,
>play Firewatch
>beat it in under 3 hours
>refund
Might as well watch it on YouTube.
The kid was long dead in a cave climbing accident and his dad had been living in a hideout and fucking around with anybody who got close.
