When you're seriously mentally ill, even with all the help and money in the world, there's no cure sometimes. You feel alone and misunderstood. No one knows what you're going through. Probably had bipolar disorder and depression. I got a friend with bipolar and one of the effects is extreme excitement. He fucking gets extremely excited over every little thing then with a flip of a coin loses his mind occasionally. On my birthday he got in a near fist fight with my other friend and it looked like a demon possessed him. Took two strong guys to pull him back.
I still don't get if he was schizophrenic or bipolar but his weird breakdowns like when he was taken away by the cops reminded me a bit of my cousin who suffers from schizophrenia. Etika's case seemed less dangerous for others and more dangerous for himself though, my cousin tried to kill his then wife and then himself but he failed at both and very soon after that he got a diagnosis and medication.
