Probably because the online is godawful and doesn't even match you with your preferred rules half the time. I'd suggest sticking to either friends or locals if you have them.

I only got one friend really and the second I surpass him even .001% in skill level he immediately loses all interest.

Nah. I'm usually chill when I play Smash online. The only time I get nervous is the adrenaline rush from facing a really good opponent where we both know what we are doing and both at 1 stock. Especially if I'm in the high percent.

Just performance anxiety like with anything else.

I felt this strongly when I was playing online as a younging. It went away with years. I remember when I was raiding in WoW, I almost shit myself because I was so nervous of fucking up.

I made it into Master rank in Overwatch but gave up quickly because the anxiety became too much to handle. I had to mute my teammates because fucking and getting yelled at made me fucking miserable. I played one round of Smash online but selecting the character made me heart rate go insane and I turned off the console.

Where do you live? Local scenes tend to concentrate in major cities (at least 100k inhabitants). Any scene worth its salt can also generally be found on Faceberg and other social media.

Seriously Yea Forums why did you tell me quickplay was full of shitters when the only players i encounter are actaully good ones
It doesn't help that when i reach 4.7M i only gain 10k GSP per match and i lose 30k everytime i lose
Even if i go on a win streak i still don't have enough time to get to 4.9M because of how slow i gain GSP

I "imported" the game on 3DS and there were only pros around playing me. Like actual people playing for thousands of viewers, for money. It was terrible.

These wouldn't work with Smash as a base, like, at all. Especially 360 degree moves, and aerial blocking. IT's less of you wanting a sequel and more of you wanting Smash to be another genre entirely. And Full Hops and Short Hops are already controlled by light and hard inputs.
You need to actually put thought int how these would be integrated smoothly on a 2.5D semi-platformer instead of saying fuck Nintendo (btw Sora Ltd. =/= Nintendo) for not implementing them.
Hell, project NX scrapped the airdash idea because it would have to reinvent the entire control scheme to get it to work without clunky double button inputs.

Look for events in your nearest city, alternatively you can try your luck and drive to a local in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, which are surely full of highly skilled players.

Elite smash is a fucking shit show, I don’t get angry easily but I’m absolutely seething after a bout of that.

Quickplay is all a matter of knowing matchups. There's a pool of roughly a dozen characters you're going to see over and over again, and 90% of people playing those characters are going to play that character the exact same way. Instead of focusing on winning, put all your attention on how to counter specific strategies and try different moves to see how they react, even if it costs you wins. Once you start getting into peoples' heads you can actually start winning. good luck.

Playing solo online is whatever, but holy hell playing co-op online has become the most cancerous shit. It's devolved to the point where every match is against double Samus/Ganon/Ike or some other degenerate heavy/zoner team. I genuinely had a better time dealing with Cloud in Bayo in 4 than I have constantly having to walk on eggshells with these fuckers. Probably going to take a break from the game for a while, but if they don't add a friendly fire option (or allow more than one local player in arenas ffs) I'm going to try to forget I even have this game.

Not that user but I try to tell myself stuff like this, but it doesn't change the fact that the teams i get matched against are the same handful of characters. The variety is even smaller than solo QP.
