I have such a nostalgia boner for SoF1. Damn good game.

Maybe if you are including multiplayer, but that is probably dead now.

Gameplay is servicable. Gore is supreme, even by today standards.

Excellent gore, shooting isn't as good as SoF 1 though.

Also, dual micro-uzis that you can shoot at someone and they'll keep flailing around as the shockwave of bullet impacts keep stimulating nerves to keep the person rigid and upright all the way until your bullets run out and the unrecognizable mince meat golem falls over.

Easily the best and most fun FPS game ever created

v1.00 aka the silver edition had alot of cheaters though but 3rd party anti-cheat software did solve alot

v1.03 aka the gold edition is more casual and the mods usually sucked but it had punkbuster

unfortunately both versions of the game are pretty dead and most servers just have bots running around

My childhood was having Team Deathmatch games in mp_pra1. mp_raven was also fun as fuck. I miss it guys :(

Great game, but coming from Counter strike, i virtually raped entire servers and would bomb 40/3 all the time, and constantly got banned. I decided to reinstall it about a year ago, and joined 2 full servers with people. Raped everyone, and people were whining i was "cheating".

When it comes to the single player the first had superior level design, none of that shit stealth, better encounter design, ai that was fair, and even the gore system better.

Sof comes out I expect games in the future to follow with the gore since it's so satisfying and fun. But no nothing even tried the same. Instead we went the opposit where games like Metro Exodus don't even have a bloodstain.

Just played some SOF2 silver, CTF in mp_italy (cs remake)

pretty fun, its still active, like a handful of servers

The thing that made SOF2 so fun was the speed of running and jumping. It was kinda like quake but with soldiers. Nothing compared to fucking modern day battlefield. It was fast and fun. No fucking gay ass wait so many seconds, just "jump" right into the action. I miss it guys :(
