When, long ago, the gods created Earth
In Jove's fair image Man was shaped at birth.
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote from humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man,
Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan.
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.

Is CoC actually any good?

Based

Attached: lovecraftnogs.jpg (690x408, 151K)

Both CoC and DCotE are very medicore. Both open with stronf\g opening areas with a ton of atmosphere, but as both game progress they show their hand with medicore and janky gameplay. In CoC it's practically a glorified walking simulator with rpg choices that don't really mean much in the end. For DCotE, it turns into a mindless shooter with shitty stealth mechanics.

Nigger man

That is all

Bloodborne is great. Really nails Lovecraft without hamming it up.

>japanese game based on X is better than western game based on X
color me fucking surprised

You’ve never read a single short story from his if you think that’s all he wrote. Tentacles are not even common in his short stories. And by the way, it’s tentacle head, dragon wings and humanoid body. I do not understand why Lovecraft is known for tentacles. Most of his horror work, he describes the monster as indescribable. Read, faggot

it doesnt look lovecraft at all

>taking seriously shitposting

Came for this

retard

>And then something spooky happened that was so spooky I can't describe it.

...

There are parts of the game that don't look like Lovecraft because that is only as aspect of the game.
The game itself is a perfect synchronisation of every horror trope you can find.
>Vamps
>Zombies
>Aliens
>Werewolves
>Lovecraft
>Sorcerers
>Underground cave dives
>Witches
>Abandoned hospitals
>Sewers
>Spiders
>Rats
>Snakes (especially snakes)
You name it, bloodborne probably has it.
The point is that the parts of the game that are Lovecraft (Yarhar'gul & nightmare dimensions being layered) are done exceptionally well.

The nightmare areas and Yahar'gul were really cool in terms of atmosphere. The masses of bodies lodged and crawling up walls and all that. I like when horror themed areas don't quite make sense.

Do you think if Lovecraft was alive again and the first adpatation/interpretation of his works his was was by playing BloodBorne, he would become a GAYmer?

We play Call of Cthulhu (the tabletop RPG) because a friend is obsessed and has bought all the rulebooks and such but the game is kinda dogshit and we mostly hate it and just tag along so we can meet up and honestly we all just want to go back to D&D

no, because it was made by filthy non-whites

I think his first game would be Saya no Uta followed by watching Haiyore! Nyaruko-san. I could easily see him becoming a weeb.

On Lovecraft as a young hermit

>"Lovecraft was a bit more than a bit troubled. In 1908, at the age of 18, he was the victim of what we might describe as a "nervous breakdown", and sank into a lethargy that was to last for a dozen years. At the age when his old classmates, impatiently crossing the bridge of childhood, threw themselves into life like a marvelous adventure into the unknown, he cloistered himself in his home, did not speak to his mother, refused to get up all day, shuffling about in his dressing gown all night."
On Lovecraft's appearance as a young man

>"by the age of eighteen or twenty he had perhaps reached his full height of five feet eleven inches, and had probably developed that long, prognathous jaw which he himself in later years considered a physical defect [...] As late as February 1921 [...] Lovecraft writes to his mother of a new suit that "made me appear as nearly respectable as my face permits."

On Lovecraft's demeanor in the years of unemployment after leaving highschool

>"Clara Hess [...] wrote: "Sometimes I would see Howard when walking up Angell Street, but he would not speak and would stare ahead with his coat collar turned up and chin down." [...] [Harold W.] Munro states: "Very much an introvert, he darted about like a sleuth, hunched over, always with books or papers clutched under his arm, peering straight ahead recognizing nobody."

On Lovecraft's shame at being unemployed

>"Of my non-university education, I never cease to be ashamed; but I know, at least, that I could not have done differently. I busied myself at home with chemistry, literature, & the like [...] I shunned all human society, deeming myself too much of a failure in life to be seen socially by those who had known me in youth, & had foolishly expected such great things of me."

On Lovecraft's twenty-first birthday

>"He celebrated his twenty-first birthday - August 20, 1911 - by riding the electric trolley cars all day"

Lovecraft is a shit writer

>I remember when Nyarlathotep came to my city—the great, the old, the terrible city of unnumbered crimes. My friend had told me of him, and of the impelling fascination and allurement of his revelations, and I burned with eagerness to explore his uttermost mysteries. My friend said they were horrible and impressive beyond my most fevered imaginings; that what was thrown on a screen in the darkened room prophesied things none but Nyarlathotep dared prophesy, and that in the sputter of his sparks there was taken from men that which had never been taken before yet which shewed only in the eyes. And I heard it hinted abroad that those who knew Nyarlathotep looked on sights which others saw not.
>It was in the hot autumn that I went through the night with the restless crowds to see Nyarlathotep; through the stifling night and up the endless stairs into the choking room. And shadowed on a screen, I saw hooded forms amidst ruins, and yellow evil faces peering from behind fallen monuments. And I saw the world battling against blackness; against the waves of destruction from ultimate space; whirling, churning; struggling around the dimming, cooling sun. Then the sparks played amazingly around the heads of the spectators, and hair stood up on end whilst shadows more grotesque than I can tell came out and squatted on the heads. And when I, who was colder and more scientific than the rest, mumbled a trembling protest about “imposture” and “static electricity”, Nyarlathotep drave us all out, down the dizzy stairs into the damp, hot, deserted midnight streets. I screamed aloud that I was not afraid; that I never could be afraid; and others screamed with me for solace. We sware to one another that the city was exactly the same, and still alive; and when the electric lights began to fade we cursed the company over and over again, and laughed at the queer faces we made.

if bloodborne is lovecraft then so is dark souls and any other weeb monster game, bloodborne is just dark souls in different timeline, also lovecraft is more into 1920s not fucking 1700s, inb4 people say its victorian while its clearly georgian

>normalfag outcasts

On one local girl's memory of young Lovecraft

>"Howard used to go out into the fields in back of my home to study the stars. One early fall evening several of the children in the vicinity assembled to watch him from a distance. Feeling sorry for his loneliness I went up to him and asked him about his telescope and was permitted to look through it. But his language was so technical that I could not understand it and I returned to my group and left him to his lonely study of the heavens."

On Lovecraft's solitary youth

>"You will notice that I have made no reference to childish friends & playmates - I had none! The children I knew disliked me, & I disliked them. I was used to adult company & conversation, & despite the fact that I felt shamefully dull beside my elders, I had nothing in common with the infant train. Their romping & shouting puzzled me. I hated mere play & dancing about - in my relaxations I always desired *plot*"

On young Lovecraft's existential burden

>"Many times in my youth I was so exhausted by the sheer burden of consciousness & mental & physical activity that I had to drop out of school for a greater or lesser period & take a complete rest free from all responsibilities; [...] In those days I could hardly bear to see or speak to anyone, & liked to shut out the world by pulling down dark shades & using artificial light."

Back in the day zombies were scary, so tentacle monsters were nightmare fuel

On Sonia's reaction to Lovecraft helping to edit and refine her short story

>"His continued enthusiasm the next day was so genuine and sincere that in appreciation I surprised and shocked him right then and there by kissing him. He was so flustered that he blushed, then he turned pale. When I chaffed him about it he said he had not been kissed since he was a very small child and that he was never kissed by any woman [...] and that he would probably never be kissed again. (But I fooled him)."

On Sonia and Lovecraft's relationship

>"Sonia seems to have understood Lovecraft very well, his frigidity, his inhibition, his denial and his disgust for life. As for him, who considered himself an old man at thirty, one is still surprised that he could envisage union with this dynamic, vivacious creature. A divorced jewess, what’s more; which, for a conservative antisemite like him would seem to constitute an insurmountable obstacle. [...] But it is perhaps the most unlikely explanation that seems the best: Lovecraft really seems to have, in a certain manner, loved Sonia, as Sonia loved him."

On Lovecraft's sexual relations with his wife

>"We learn [...] that: first, he was a virgin at the time he married; second, prior to his marriage he had read several books on sex; and third, he never initiated sexual relations, but would respond when Sonia did so. [...] Sonia herself has only two comments on the matter. 'As a married man he was an adequately excellent lover, but refused to show his feelings in the presence of others. [...] One way of expression of H.P.'s sentiment was to wrap his "pinkey" finger around mine and say "Umph!""

But remember if even he can find love so can we.

Shame his /pol/ness fucked it up

On Lovecraft's reaction to other races in New York

>"Soon after we were married he told me that whenever we have company he would appreciate it if there were 'Aryans' in the majority. [...] whenever he would meet crowds of people - in the subway, or, at the noon hour, on the sidewalks in Broadway, or crowds, wherever he happened to find them, and these were usually the workers of minority races - he would become livid with anger and rage. [...] It was then that he said: "It is more important to know what to hate than it is to know what to love.""

On Lovecraft's cold dinners while Sonia worked in another city

>"In October Lovecraft was forced to buy an oil heater for the winter, since the head provided by [landlord] Mrs Burns [...] was quite insufficient. [...] Lovecraft could now indulge in the high luxury of "the preparation of hot dinners. No more cold beans & spaghetti for me". Does this mean that, for the first nine and a half months of the year, Lovecraft was eating cold meals, mostly out of cans? [...] this seems to be a dismal probability"

On Sonia's remarks about the end of her marriage

>""If the truth be known, it was this attitude towards minorities and his desire to escape them that promoted him back to Providence [...] I did not leave him on account of non-providence, but chiefly on account of his harping hatred of J--s. This and this alone was the real reason."

On Lovecraft's fear of racial contamination

>"the natural and just sentiment which keeps the African black from contaminating the Caucasian population of the United States. The negro is fundamentally the biological inferior of all White and even Mongolian races, and the Northern people must occasionally be reminded of the danger which they incur in admitting him too freely to the privileges of society and government."

Never go full contrarian.

God I wish Lovecraft could actually finish a story instead of just going oh fuck I am running out of space uuhhh they went insane the end.

On Lovecraft's prediction for the future of America

>""The social-political future of the United States is one of domination by vast ecconomic interests devoted to the ideals of material gain, aimless activity, & physical comfort - interests controlled by shrewd, insensitive, & not often well-bred leaders recruited from the standardised herd through a competition of hard wit & practical craftiness - a struggle for a place & power which will eliminate the truth & the beautiful as goals, & substitute the strong, the huge, & the mechanically effective."

On Lovecraft's support of Adolf Hitler

>"[Hitler's] vision is of course romantic & immature, & coloured with a fact-ignoring emotionalism [...] There surely is an actual Hitler peril - yet that cannot blind us to the honest rightness of the man's basic urge [...] I repeat that there is a great & pressing need behind every one of the major plans of Hitlerism - racial-cultural continuity, conservative cultural ideals, & an escape from the absurdities of the Versailles. The crazy thing is not what Adolf wants, but the way he sees it & starts to get it. I know he's a clown, but by God, I like the boy!"

On one correspondent's impressions upon visiting Lovecraft's apartment in Providence

>""He was a tall man, of sallow complexion, very animated [...] with dark, sparkling eyes. I don't know if this description makes much sense, but that was the impression he made - a very vital person. We were friends immediately. [...] when you went into the room that he occupied there were no windows - it was completely cut off, and he just lived by artificial light. [...] The room was very stuffy, very dusty (he wouldn't allow anybody to dust it, especially the books); his bedding was quite (I hate to say this) dirty [...] And he had nothing to eat excepting a piece of cheese."

Most intelligent man to walk the Earth.

Junji Ito is exactly the same.

People fail to really understand that good horror doesn't necessarily need an ending, an ending represents a resolution and just such a thing is what kills off your horror story.

You need to read more books

kys dogfucker

Junji Ito is much better than Lovecradt because Junji actually has interesting ideas and fleshes them out in interesting ways at least before the ending. Lovecraft has neither the ideas nor the skill to flesh any of it out. Lovecraft is literally a meme for racist anglos

>burgermutt tier understanding of what lovecraft is and what it looks like
Just fucking kill yourselves, subhuman sacks of shit.

Yeah both have the same problem for me.
They do a great job of setting up atmosphere and mood but then kill it at the end.

On Lovecraft reconsidering his political allegiances in his 40s

>"I used to be a hide-bound Tory simply for traditional and antiquarian reasons - and because I had never done any real thinking on civics and industry and the future. The depression jolted me out my lethargy and led me to reexamine the facts of history in the light of unsentimental scientific analysis; and it was not long before I realised what an ass I had been. The liberals at whom I used to laugh were the ones who were right [...] At last I began to recognise something of the way in which capitalism works - always piling up concentrated wealth and impoverishing the bulk of the population until the strain becomes so intolerable as to force artificial reform."

On Lovecraft losing interest in motion pictures

>"Save for a few Triangle, Pramount & Vitagraoh pictures, everything I have seen is absolute trash [...] I have yet to see a serial film worth the time wasted in looking at it - or dozing over it. The technique could be surpassed by most ten year old children." [...] With rare exceptions, Lovecraft did not care for the surprising number of films he saw in the course of his life."

On the decline of art and media

>"Bourgeois capitalism gave artistic excellence and sincerity a death-blow by enthroning cheap amusement at the expense of that intrinsic excellence which only cultivated persons of assumed position can enjoy. The determinant market for written and other aesthetic material ceased to be a small circle of truly educated persons, but became a substantially larger circle of mixed origin numerically dominated by crude, half-educated clods of whose systematically perverted ideals prevented them from ever achieving the tastes and perspective of the gentlefolk whose dress and speech and external manners they mimicked. [...] and they so outnumbered the remaining educated gentlefolk that most of the purveying agencies became at once reorientated to them."

Fuck, i thought you meant corruption of champions

On Lovecraft assessing the value of his life

>"Failure though I be, I shall reach a level with the greatest - and smallest - in the damp earth or on the final pyre. [...] Success is a relative thing [...] So I turned to observe other mediocre and handicapped persons about me, and found pleasure in increasing the happiness of those who could be helped by such encouraging words or critical services as I am capable of furnishing. That I have been able to cheer here and there an aged man, an infirm old lady, a dull youth, or a person deprived by circumstances of education, affords to me a sense of being not altogether useless, which almost forms a substitute for the real success I shall never know. [...] Surely it is well that the happiness of the unfortunate be made as great as possible; and he who is kind, helpful, and patient with his fellow-sufferers, adds as truly to the world's combined fund of tranquility as he who, with greater endowments, promotes the birth of empires, or advances the knowledge of civilisation and mankind."

Be kind, anons.

>"Howard Phillips Lovecraft died early in the morning of March 15, 1937. He was pronounced dead at 7.15 A.M."
The final stanza's of Lovecraft's poem 'Despair'

>Evil wings in ether beating;
>Vultures at the spirit eating;
>Things unseen forever fleeting
>Black against the leering sky.
>Ghastly shades of bygone gladness,
>Clawing fiends of future sadness,
>Mingle in a cloud of madness
>Ever on the soul to lie.

>Thus the living, lone and sobbing,
>In the throes of anguish throbbing,
>With the loathsome Furies robbing
>Night and noon of peace and rest.
>But beyond the groans and grating
>Of abhorrent Life, is waiting
>Sweet Oblivion, culminating
>All the years of fruitless quest.

Why do people always go to Cthulhu when talking about Lovecraft? It's one of his least interesting stories.

its the most popular

Most popularized. I love a huge portion of his other stuff though.

But why?

its the first thing that comes up on google

Why do people always go to Sonic when talking about SEGA? Most iconic.

Probably a combination of August Derleth's works and the tabletop game.

I often think on how people like Lovecraft. If they were born today would waste their lives shitposting here and they'd never do anything of value. I wonder how many Lovecrafts are wasting their lives here right now

Man, spiders, wtiches, rats, underground cave dives and zombies are also part of the lovecraftian ecosystem. It really seems that none of you have actually read Lovecraft at all aside the two or three most famous stories.

His stories are more conceptual (I know it sounds cliché, but you know, the fear of the unknown and that kind of stuff) than thematic.

>i am mad about how dumb I am so I strawman people I'm arguing with as americans, who are the vast majority of posters on this site

Of course, it doesn't mean that every shitposting loser here that can into some edgy art or writingslike me will be as much popular one day. It was different time then.

What I'm trying to say is someone like Lovecraft, based on his testimonies, is someone who clearly struggled with doing shit. Couldn't find a job. Writing was brilliant but inconsistent.
Now, the way I see it, if he was modern he wouldnt have picked up writing in the first place because he'd spend all his time here on the internet.

The thing about the internet is that it has no limit. There is always more things to see and more info to find on it. It's easy to get lost in it and this place in particular is suited for people like Lovecraft.

Was the name shub-(niggur)ath a reference to this poem?

Weird big monsters are easy to catch on simply because they are weird big monsters. It is easy to put them in other works and media and people will like it.

Not that guy but I agree. I'm sure he wasn't the only autistic weird guy living that NEET life over a hundred years ago, but he was one of the few who passed the time by writing. He had a wonderful imagination and was able to capture that in writing, maybe because his options were limited. If he were 18 in 2008, he just might have spent his early adult life making Sonic OCs.

you are plebs, D&D is shit

I pity your friend for having to put up with unimaginative brainlets like you

tentacles look pretty good but you need some work on your foot anatomy and hands maybe too

user hit post and with it, he thought, the deed was done. His point made and his mark left upon one of the small sections of the "internet" that he chose to slither about in. But the deed, as he saw it, garnered the attention of a timeless, groaning force. A thing beyond description but which nonetheless demanded superlative devotion. A thing that churned and roiled in the depths, a horrid thing awoken by the crude insult dealt to its master. It's edges fluttered and frilled with titillation. For so long had it slumbered and not devoured souls. And now, though retched as this doomed one was, it longed for the succulent burst of its ripe tearing only to avenge this slight to its wicked author. Reaching from and to rocks and upon and over them it clambered from the ancient, evil, lightless murk. Then free and clear of the craggy subterranean mountains it swam sure and strong causing all earthly creatures in its path to flee in terror. Finally it reached that hard unlovely realm of the world above the lovely deafening waves, the realm of apes and all of their vane undertakings. For a time it beached itself and choked upon the vile emptiness of air, so thin and unwelcoming relative to the comforting crush of the deep places. And at last it cells, perfected by spans of time unfathomable to the faggot OP and his ilk, developed large powerful wings which batted and shredded angrily in protest at the air which it would not suffer. Instead it tamed it and then it rode upon it. Soaring and bellowing a cry of warning to all fools beneath who doubted the works of the master. And then it swooped. Crashing upon the roof of the ramshackle neglected domicile of the unbeliever. The roof which was torn and thrown aside. And torn was the anus, assailed a great many times by, of all ironies, the great and spiked tentacles he so ruefully decried.

Either your a cheeky cunt that knows pretending to be humble or someone who needs some self-confidence. Either way this looks pretty fucking good to me.

Sci-fi nerds gets excited because it might evidence of a type 3 civilization.

Sucks that you can't talk about lovecraft without some sjw throwing a hissyfit or some racist mongoloid saying based. There's so much more to talk about beyond his fear of other races with lovecraft but nowadays you can't even mention him without npcs getting triggered.

Wrong plebian. The "cold spot" is our universe pressing against another in the wider multiverse complex.

I don't think anatomy really matters when you're drawing shit like that. Seems like they're meant to be warped bastardizations/mutations.

You're a big boat.

I've noticed a pattern where some people with artistic talent agree that they engaged into their artistic endeavors because they had nothing else to do or were the only thing they were ever good for (According to them). Your post combined with what they said makes a lot of sense now. With all the limitless shit you can do in the internet you may end up ignoring on pursuing a passion or some useful skill and in turn you'll end up like us, venting our frustrations via shitposts instead of engaging in art or anything meaningful. Is not to say you can't be a shitposter or an internet user and have a successful or normal life at the same time, but there is a point where you spend too much time in one place or another that it has a positive or negative impact in your life. I can see Lovecraft going over specific boards to vent his frustrations but never engage into anything meaningful as result, too busy shitposting but wasting his time in the process.

Well user this reminded me I've spent too much time leaving a weird short story I need to finish behind as well some art projects, but in my defense it has nothing to do with me shitposting in Yea Forums, but still. Puts shit into perspective huh?

isn't the story that he got married and moved to New York and then got shellshocked and ran away back to Rhode Island? Can't just walk around NY without seeing black girls

The problem isn't in internet, the problem that you barely can bring something new into arts nowadays since people already have seen all the kinds of stuff and you hardly can impress anybody today.

Lovecraft successed although postmortembecause he was the first with who was writing about cosmic horror stuff and not some living dead and zombies.

>If he were 18 in 2008, he just might have spent his early adult life making Sonic OCs
Fuck, this is so true. People would be backing out of Lovecraft threads along with Shadman.

is he?
>Screamingly sentient, dumbly delirious, only the gods that were can tell. A sickened, sensitive shadow writhing in hands that are not hands, and whirled blindly past ghastly midnights of rotting creation, corpses of dead worlds with sores that were cities, charnel winds that brush the pallid stars and make them flicker low. Beyond the worlds vague ghosts of monstrous things; half-seen columns of unsanctified temples that rest on nameless rocks beneath space and reach up to dizzy vacua above the spheres of light and darkness. And through this revolting graveyard of the universe the muffled, maddening beating of drums, and thin, monotonous whine of blasphemous flutes from inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond Time; the detestable pounding and piping whereunto dance slowly, awkwardly, and absurdly the gigantic, tenebrous ultimate gods—the blind, voiceless, mindless gargoyles whose soul is Nyarlathotep.

Behold, the many forms of Japanese Nyarlathotep (and guests)

Is Splatoon, Lovecraftian?

What was his cat's name?

Attached: hp.jpg (841x1920, 111K)

>t. never read lovecraft

Not really

While the whole tentacles thing does get attributed to lovecraft, octopus and squids are a thing and that's what splatoon is.

>dude it is so scary I cant describe it

Outdated values and racism deserve to be thrown out like the trash they are

Attached: lovecraft.jpg (1800x2400, 603K)

This is especially funny after reading Uzumaki.

Lovecraft is just William Hope Hodgson for redditors.

Attached: The Night Land.jpg (1080x720, 286K)

He looks like he belongs on the cover of a Smiths album.

>the cat isn't even black
What a hack.

Based as fuck

You've either never read Lovecraft or played Bloodborne then, because they are very similar in ways that Dark Souls and Berserk are similar

That's not his cat. If I remember correctly the photo is of Lovecraft holding the cat of one of his friends. The Lovecraft family had a cat named Nigger Man, but that was when Lovecraft was a boy and there are no photos of it.

The cinematography in Bloodborne is incredible. I don't know how they pulled it off but even in gameplay when you have full control of the camera the farming is really good.

dark souls isnt lovecraft and neither is bloodborne, then all resident evils are lovecraft too, now fuck off weeb

I didn't say Dark Souls was like Lovecraft you fucking biscuit

if bloodborne is then dark souls is then resident evil is then days gone is, now fuck off

This man probably had sex with his mother before I could with mine

>if bloodborne is then dark souls is then resident evil is then days gone is

The average person, statistically, is a brainlet.

Do note that his wife Sophia Greene was a jew herself.

>that entire part of in the mountains of madness where he explains in detail how the old ones lived their daily lives and used shogoths as servants

Lovecraft is overrated as fuck

I hate that Lovecraft got too popular with normies. Now it's impossible to say I like him without contrarians telling me I'm wrong.

Attached: 1554537997512.gif (260x260, 1.66M)

meanwhile in the real world where the other 99% live, everyone still knows lovecraft and literally who are these twitterqueers?

Thoughts?

This image always makes me laugh

i honestly didn't see many black women in NYC when I went a few years ago, and those I did see were all wearing business clothes and walking to lunch during the day. there sure were a lot of jobless black men clogging up every bench and standing on nearly every street corner catcalling women as they walked by at all hours of the day tho

Actual Lovecraft is shit like Rats in the Wall and the Outsider not sushi-horror

It's because he described them in a bit broader terms than normally

t. rape victim of tentacles

Rats in the Wall is good tho

it's just a fucking nebula you retards

Attached: giphy.gif (631x414, 947K)

I didnt imply it wasnt. I love it. I was using shit as a substitute for stuff as is it sometimes used in modern slang.

Rats in the Walls had the most influence on the best lovecraft inspired game.

Attached: darkest estate.png (1920x904, 307K)

Brainlets, literally.
You pretty much have to understand a bit more than basic english if you want to enjoy his books.

what a fag

did anyone play sinking city? was it any good?

Lol, what a pussy

Is he the true origin of the doomer meme?

If Lovecraft were born recently he would be made fun of relentlessly in this day and age. So yeah I can see him getting into gaming

Anyone played Lovecraft's Untold Stories?

fuck off, racism is against the rules, trash like you aren't welcome on 4channel

JoJo is basically an optimistic Lovecraftian adventure

I’ve played it. Still working on making progress though. It’s okay, but some if the playable characters are objective dogshit. I hate having to play as the Witch character

This!
THINK OF THE ADVERTISERS!

its better than the call of cthulu that came our recently at least

What are you gonna do about it, nigger?

Were there still shoe shiners when you went there?

lovecraft already made optimistic lovecraftian adventures
theres one where they kill the monster in the end

Whatever it takes.

He wanted Khazar Milkers. He's literally us.

>beating up a foreigner
seems pretty racist to me you nazi.

Junji Ito has genuinely scary and atmospheric art and that's it. You may praise his writing because it honestly does lead to unpredictable endings, but the endings themselves are fucking garbage with literally no payoff

conservatives are evil regardless of ethnicity

Attached: WhenFPIsAlsoTheBP.png (591x627, 719K)

Sunken city is garbage though. Also
>it has cthulhu so it's lovecraftian hurr durr
It's not just the monsters and unimaginable deities that drive you to insanity that make something lovecraftian you retard.

Is it even out yet?

I clearly see a mutt there

its closer to lovecraft than bloodborne ever will

Call of Cthulhu is the most frustrating TRPG I've ever run. Convincing people who are used to minmaxing and cheesing through D&D and GURPS to slow down and actually act like a rational human in a game is impossible, and it takes hours every week to script little encounters with questgivers and write lore and clues.

The sanity system can be pretty great when people play along with it, though.

>Most of his horror work, he describes the monster as indescribable
So you never actually read his stuff.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonia_Greene
She was married to a fellow Russian (Sonia was a Jewish-Russian immigrant) when she was 16 and had a child who died at 3 months then alter a second daughter who she would become estranged with in her adult life. Her first husband was described as "brutal" and apparently committed suicide.

>Being proud of beating up a punching bag
Conservatives are a fuckin joke you nigger

Yikes. I may be an autistic virgin but I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.

>wouldn't

Who the fuck are you lying to?

At the age of sixteen, on 24 December 1899, Sonia married Samuel Greene, a Russian whose name may have originally been Samuel Seckendorff, who was ten years her senior. The following year she gave birth to a son, who died at three months of age. Her daughter, Florence Carol (later Carol Weld) was born on 19 March 1902. According to Lovecraft's correspondent Alfred Galpin[3] Samuel Greene was "a man of brutal character". The marriage was turbulent, and Samuel Greene died in 1916, apparently by his own hand.

Incomprehensible niggas n shieet

>We're doing this thing for the people who don't like this thing.
Why are SJWs so fucking retarded? Why not do something else then?
You "pissing" on Lovecraft's grave is going to do nothing.

Which ones would you recommend to read?

The worst mind cancer is just narrow-mindedness. Fortunately, conservatism is a movement that is steadily declining. It would be a good idea for all conservatives to stop for a moment and think about what they do and represent. All the narrow-minded attitudes and comments prove that there is a scarce shortage of support for social justice. How can you expect that your rights are safe if you don't protect the marginalized?. Some of you even think straight people are under attack, like seriously? At least I haven't experienced it that way. Happy Pride 2019!

Darkest Dungeon is the best Lovecraftian game by a great margin
