This guy knows what's what.
Most games have predictable, standard endings but this game definitely leaves a lingering impact on you after that wild ride with such a scope and then that ending.

Attached: 1473804077638.jpg (1024x1024, 221K)

Had this feel after I finished Witcher 3, didn't even really think the game was all that amazing but it felt like there was a lot of story in it that I was glad that it was done and the ending was satisfying enough that I didn't feel like it was a waste of time or anything.

Any fucking SMT game.

Especially Digital Devil Saga 2 and Persona 3

Furi

The most recent was DMC5. It was my first Devil May Cry and I had a ton of fun with it. The BIG one before that was Yakuza 0.

Unironically RDR2 pre-epilogue

Attached: 28d.jpg (1280x720, 84K)

Devil may cry 5. That said I still need to go back to finish it on DMD.

cool, an actual FPBP.

Persona 5, Emily is away-2, bloodborne, dark souls 1,

Castlevania: SOTN yesterday.

I dislike that it's short like 10 hours while Hollow Knight is like 70 hours but that's fucking life.

Did it at least finish strong? Were you satisfied after finishing it?

youtube.com/watch?v=2SUYBNMbvLo
Every time. Reminder that you can tell if a game had soul based on the credits music. Any game where it's just whatever generic track or a reused song, you know they didn't care.

Attached: kamthumb1.webm (1488x1080, 767K)

Persona 4's ending scene on with the train hit me so hard with everyone saying goodbye. Played it over the course of what I remember was a couple months in college. It felt like a chapter off my life was closing.

Attached: download.jpg (1024x576, 70K)

Recently? Hollow Knight and Soma. The latter more for the story and atmosphere/setting.

Been pretty interested in this game, did you like it that much? Want to get a game like this until Blasphemy comes out

Yeah but..when you realize you wont find that anywhere else, its not a good feeling
The moment you stare at the credits its truly magical

I thought it was pretty awesome
It's like devil may cry 3 kinda but different story
The design is pretty neat and dark

will it give me this feel
youtube.com/watch?v=P9Hres93mBs

Nier Automata for me,and it's not even about 2B although I admit her design was awesome.

MGS2 every time

>Play game
>see characters, don't know who they are
>see them suffer trials and tribulations
>see them grow
>see them achieve their objectives or happiness
>feel happy for them
>be sad that you'll never hear any more updates from their lives
I'm a sad and lonely faggot and video game characters are my friends.

Completing the Carnellian Exile's questline in Sunless Sea.

Holy fucking shit was that a ride and a half. But, all in all. The satisfaction of beating it and the achivement I got afterword was great.

Attached: Screenshot_2.png (348x131, 35K)

What did he mean by this? And yeah Rain World is the only game I can think of that gets me like OP pic. I'll just be going about my day or driving to work and suddenly think of Rain World and say out loud "Jesus Christ, what a fucking GAME". Absolute masterpiece. Shame the reviewers killed it in the cradle so its impact on future games will be delayed for years until its cult following gets bigger.

Octopath Traveler. I just finished it like 20 minutes ago and while the ending isn't anything special, actually beating the final boss was incredibly satisfying.

Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun. Basically Commandos/Desperados but in feudal Japan. Really fucking good game with excellent maps and very likeable characters.

Also lots of feels.

Conkers Bad Fur Day

terranigma balls lmao

mah nigga. out of all the feudal japan games to come out in recent years, this is by far the best.

Agreed.

Man, that fucking ending. 10 year old me was not ready.

Attached: 1553529504593.jpg (513x513, 26K)

Most recent game to give me that feeling was Pyre. Katana Zero was the last pretty good game I beat, but it was getting monotonous and didn't do anything special to cap it all off. Devil May Cry 5 was great, but it's a weird instance of a game I dive right back into after I'm done so then I have a weird "I didn't finish it" feeling. Bloodstained or La-Mulana 2 might give me that feeling when they're over. Metroidvanias always tend to have a finality to them that leaves me with that feeling.

Darkwood is still giving me chills

>Killer7

My nigger. Thinking about it’s ending and then remembering the ending of NMH and the relation of themes

“Gotta find that exit to paradise before it’s too late”

Also kinda cool how NMH2 is about him being in denial that it’s still not too late

what the fuck this wasnt what I expected Conkers to be. Now I actually have to play it. I remember roasting my friends in high school reminiscing about this baby ass looking game. fuck.

Just finished Primordia, it was good.

Pathologic 2.

>super enjoying a game
>know it has a sequel the writer and his co programmer are working on to look forward to
>find out the sequel is half finished and the devs split due to creative differences, without ending the story cause it would've been rushed
Hate the feeling, playing a game and investing knowing it wont pay off, who knows if ever.

ARTHUR'S BEEN DEAD A LONG TIME

I've had this feeling after beating the Ace Attorney Trilogy, with the final picture revealing Maya once broke Mystic Ami's vase just like Pearls did, and Mia tried to help her fix it.. I could swear it was the final picture of the game, revealing what was in Misty's amulet when the characters get to see it but you don't as the player, but I played the HD trilogy recently, and now it shows you pretty much immediately after the characters get to see it. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong and this always happened, but if not, I think it was changed so that idiots understand what the picture is supposed to be instead of letting it show after the credits for impact.

It could be worse, user. You could be a Zero Escape fan and have experienced ZTD.

Funny you say that actually
I was.
I experienced ZTD before it was even out, when it leaked a bit early.
I am not lying when I say I enjoyed it. Was I bummed that Kyle wasn't explained nor Alice or whatsherface not showing up? Yeah.
But I enjoyed the escape rooms, the story, the fact it was just one big cutscene enough to make up for it.
I guess I went into it knowing nothing could beat VLR or properly wrap things up without crazy last minute "whoa crazy twist". I had fun with it.

Attached: 1520253807734.png (245x212, 44K)

Agreed. It really hits you when you lose your samurai bro ;_;. I'd love to have some sort of sequel or spiritual successor. I love real-time tactics games like that.

MGS3

when 100%'d Red Dead Redemption it made the whole single player just feel empty so I decided to never 100% anything, rockstar games still feel empty as fuck after the story plays out though

Undertale uninfluenced and blind during release week

Attached: ZWW let go but Electrode.jpg (960x960, 79K)

Witcher 1, finished it last week. I hope 2 and 3 also leave the same feeling in me.

Skies of Arcadia.
The ending and credits with little epilogue paragraphs about every major NPC and the protagonists really tied it up.

Attached: skies-of-arcadia.original.jpg (1024x576, 230K)

You're still not ready.

They will. I played the whole trilogy back to back and I honestly loved it.

2 and 3 need some tweaks with mods though (especially 3.) With 2 I'd recommend bumping the difficulty up and getting mods that unlock more skills (i.e. give you more skill points) so you can really experiment with the combat system. For 3 I have a longer list, actually.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explores of the sky. It should've ended with them reuniting, but whatever.

This one left me with a sense of dread. Spending over 100 hours spanned across 2 playthroughs with the MC only to not know what will become of him was quite intense. Although, the idea of them going to fight an even greater foe with unimaginable power was hype as fuck. This game steadily became one of my favourites.

Attached: giphy.gif (500x363, 1.73M)

its a god of war clone. Its not very good, but enjoyable enough.

Yea it was a really sad feeling every time I finished witcher 3
Beat it 4 time and every time when it ends I can't figure out what to do with myself.

Wild Arms 2

Is it better than the first game?
Been thinking of playing this when I finally start using an actual PC

I played and loved the first one and 2 is pretty much exactly what I wanted in a remake.

Neat, how's the performance? is it better than the demo? any chugs?

Attached: True Pacifist Ending.png (640x480, 13K)

My nigga

RDR2 was the most recent that did it for me
>I guess, I'm afraid

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Performance is all over the place for people. Some people with monster rigs run the game the same as people with toasters. Personally it ran bad for me until patch 5 then it ran smooth as butter. Honestly performance follows no rhyme or reason.

Read all the witcher books then played the games
Awesome experience

Xenoblade X since it was my first xeno game. Then Xenoblade 2 to a greater extent.

Not trying to hate but really? The ending made no sense and was pretentious as fuck.

I really enjoyed it but how is it going to be influential?

It's better in every way besides performance and that the other two characters aren't out, it's just Haruspex. I think they said they'd release them as dlc if the game didn't sell well, and they would release them free if it did.

Eternal Senia if anyone's curious

ah, the feels

Kirby planet robobot

I haven't actually used Enhanced Edition for TW3 but I have heard good things about it. Most of my mods were small, quality of life tweaks, removal of the level cap/scaling stuff, tweaks to enhance Geralt and enemies abilities and the like.

>Enhanced Edition isn't compatible with New Game+
kinda gay
the rest of it sounds interesting though

This game belongs in a museum.

War of the Lions. Why'd they have to do Orran like that, man?

Yeah, because its going to be gone in history as the only worthwhile ps4 exclusive.

Most Ace Attorney games. Ghost Trick too. Apollo Justice and AAI2 probably got me the most.

Soma. I was thinking about that game non-stop for days after finishing.

Fragile Dreams

Darkwood

oh and dead space

Say what you will about MGS4.
But the ending leaves me empty everytime.

Finishing a really good game is like finishing a really good fanfic for me.
It leaves you proud and empty when it’s finished.
Anybody know that feel?.

Ever since university I struggle to finish any single player games, but this is the only game since that time that had left me wanting more at the end.
