I got bored of this game when it first came out and stopped playing it before the dragon. I picked it up again when it came out on the switch and now I can't stop playing it

The affinity/romance system in DD is strangely straightforward. It's just never explained and the game will pick your love interest out of the cast following some simple, yet kind of retarded rules. Which can lead to some strange shit.
Anyway, characters which you interact a lot with tend to like you. As a matter of fact, the two NPCs you'll interact the most with are the Innkeeper and the arms-trader.

My first game I got the innkeeper. Second game I got that little rich girl daughter. The third time I got the Loli Wich. I'm not into Loli so neither girl appealed to me. Fourth game I got that Knight, the one who is a traitor.

I've always wanted the She-goat but I've never managed to waifu her.

Just douse her in 'cloud wine' and keep smacking everyone else. Getting thrown in jail is stupidly cheap to get out of anyway.

I could never waifu her because I always refused to let her lose that duel. You can't ever waifu her, no matter what, if you don't let her get her ass beat.

No, you still can. You just lose a lot of affinity for doing so and if you ever talk with anyone else who has more affinity than her at that point (which mean almost everyone) then she's out of the window.

No, you literally can't do it. I maxed her affinity. Even gave her that special ring. if you don't let her lose that duel you can't romance her. She's locked out no matter what her affinity is.

What the fuck is up with the defense scaling in this game? You either do absolutely nothing or fucking annihilate several health bars in seconds. It completely undercuts the final battle against the previous arisen which should've been cool and climactic

Id say start over bc I replayed it recently after playing it when it first came out and didn't remember anything and thought it was fun
