Okay, here is a useful one for people who want to use Katanas.
The best Katana in the game, Great Izayoi, can be upgraded by aborbing with Blood Steal, I grinded for hours and 58 seems to be the highest attack it can get, so once you get to 58 you can stop grinding.
It doesn't take too long to get to that attack, I grinded in that room in the Underground Sorcery Lab with the 6 Gusion, just kill them all and absorb the blood until the sword is stacked full.

That's what I was wondering about. It's usually no biggie, just a cutscene thing that will happen regardless of your actions. So even if everyone tells player character how bad "it" will get if you let "it" progress, usually there's no pay-off in terms of gameplay nor stroy wise.

This game also has 0 difficulty on Normal mode, but you can name your file NIGHTMARE to immediately unlock Hard and Nightmare, and Hard also becomes trivial a few bosses in so I'd suggest Nightmare

The real OP shard is Tis rosine. It's a pure laser you shoot from your hand. No bullshiting aroud, just instant zapping, and you can control the direction.
The shards are relatively easy to craft, and the damage is OP. If you tap the button, then you can avoid using more than 4 MP per shot. Since it drains MP over time, you can exploit this by only firing for a few frames.
It will drain about 4MP, but will still do damage on contact.
So you basically have an OP gun. Tap to shoot, and MP never gets drained.

I imagine they're going to patch this. They will probably make it drain a chunk of MP on start up. So try it out now, while it's still pure and exploitable.

Travel from Garden of Madness to the Twin Dragon Tower (all ground level). As soon as you walk through the area transition door to the Tower region, invert. You will find a chest with what you need guarded by a patch of spikes.

Bloodbringer is from level and grade and rank so all of them show an increase. You can see this by looking at the sword in your equipment. I can't have it equipped and him as a pet at same time.

Dead Cells isn't good enough

Not only is the game uglier and glitchier but it runs at about half speed. Miriam moves so damn slowly I don't know how anybody can actually finish the game on Switch. Brother double dipped on it and the Switch version is just outright bad compared to the PS4's. The PS4 version still has problems too but nowhere near as bad.

I've been using them through most of the game. My only complaint is that there seems to be a dead spot in the upper right corner as sometimes whipping small enemies like ghosts while jumping will have the attack phase through them.

I thought the same when I started but I've really come to like the whip in the harder difficulties. Also, what said. Sword-Whip has the classic straight line attack.

They become a passive when you rank 9, then you have 2.

Try to get more grade and more rank. Upperlevel Bunnification is outright busted. Chun-li kicks for mega damage and dagger tossing for minimal MP cost. Plus your jump kick becomes insanely powerful. Top tap enemies into oblivion just like Chun-li too.

I know he seemed to get more moves when I upgraded his rank, like that big lance of light thrust he does, but I figure his grade will just lead to stronger hits of the same size, not new moves, interactions, and easter eggs. Still, he was the Kickstarter pet that backers voted for, so if any familiar would have some special stuff going on, it's him in my mind.

Yeah but that's common as fuck in these stories. The church itself is fine but oh Pastor Jerry is a fuck who turned to demon-summoning to avenge his wife's death or some such yadda yadda. We've all seen stories like that play out plenty of times.

In this case, the Church is neutral at worst. They clearly don't like Shardbinders due to their ties to demons and alchemists, but they seem willing to tolerate Miriam and Johannes for the sake of getting rid of demons. What I mean is....unless I misunderstood, the game tells you that for at least some shard skills, they stop gaining power after you gain a certain number (less than 10 probably), so you should sell your excess shards for these skills. My question is how to know which shard skills max out after a certain number of shards held.

You need to invest on bullets for them to be good but when you do it they are really powerful.

Shards have two power ratings. The Grade is their base power and increases as you collect more of that shard. The Rank offers enhanced or secondary effects and is raised by spending materials you collect. Both cap at 9.

Also, getting a yellow shard to Rank 9 allows you to have its effects active without equipping it, but equipping it will double its effects.

Yeah he just stands there or walks until he hits a wall (and keeprt walking into the wall in place) depending on whether he was standing or walking when he died. Gives the chisle barrage shard. Does Dies Irae do anything special? I haven't crafted it yet because it has 8 less base Attack than the Durandal I'd need to give up to make it, so I've held back since I kind of like the Durandal's damage for where I am in the game.

In case anyone is wondering why the character portraits are still 1080P in 4k it's because the menus and those models are rendered into a 1920x1080 texture not directly to the display. If you play the game in 720p they get downsampled and AAed but if you play in 4k they get upscaled and look like shit. And in 1080p forced AA doesn't work on them (or the Miriam model in the equipment menu or the demons in the archive either) for the same reason. As far as driver level forced FSAA is concerned it's a texture and it can't "see" it (any sort of offscreen rendering has this problem with FSAA btw)

My shitty 4gb ram toaster can run the game just fine.
