Why is VI considered to be the black sheep of the franchise?
Dragon Quest
I want to know this too.
Its a pain to traverse the world, but its not awful, wouldn"t replay it.
Does 6 even have a complete fan translation?
I think there's an SNES one, but I could easily be wrong.
There's the D'S version at least, even though...accents...
It's the most half-baked of all entries because Yuji Horii was busy with Chrono Trigger (which 6 heavily borrows from).
What about II?
I don't remember. But that's the problem.
2 is pretty fun, introduced party members and minigames. Biggest issue I have with 2 would be the dungeon design and sudden jumps in difficulty, but the remakes make it a lot more bearable.
No, V is the black sheep of the franchise in that it's literally the only good one.
Epic troll my dude
no spoilers but its not great but not bad either.
its a normal jrpg with a alternate world gimmick, except the alternate world doesn't stand out and you'll forget which one you're in.
when you come from dq1-5, 6 is meh in comparison.
So far I've loved 3, 4, 5, and 8, but fucking christ 6 is so boring for some reason. I got Milly as a party member and then I just dropped it.
It doesn't have a happy ending
It's not. It just doesnt pop. 7 is the black sheep for how long it is
Horse
The SNES version's translation is approximately 90% complete. It hasn't been touched since the early 2000's, and since we now have the DS version it'll likely never be finished
i think its better than 7
Why does Builders 2 run so much worse on Switch than the first game, you can't say it's the hardware because there's hardly any more going on than Builders 1
I know it plays different and has a much more different setting, but horii and toriyama both worked on it. They even asked for toriyamas help with writing, which is in part why it didn't end up too dry and serious like final fantasy.
Could chrono trigger be considered dragon quest 5.5, or maybe even a spin off? I mean I know it's got mechs but so does dragon quest sprinkled around
Perhaps it's just the demo? I've heard the demo for DQB1 on the Switch ran worse than the actual game. Don't get your hopes up though.
Nah, I looked up footage of the full JP release, it's still 30fps at best
People don't like it because the waifu dies in the end so the hero doesn't get a happy ever after
Plus it has some annoying parts like when you have to follow the mermaid guy
But it has a trap though
Is it 60fps on PS4?
Obviously
Guess I'll pick it up on PS4 instead then. Would be nice if these came to PC. but I'll take what I can get.
i liked it way more than IV
especially how much freedom you get
there's literally 2 maps
3 if you count the underwater one
