Well I've had this controller for years and I don't own a switch so I can't give you an honest comparison.

this custom controller based off 64 buttons has the best controller layout i have ever seen. I like how A and B still have special emphasis but also 4 c buttons.

I don't like the shape much, I prefer dualshock's shape and analog sticks being closer and on the bottom.
But in terms of sheer battery power, this thing was fucking 10/10.

I'm really mad the prototype steam controller with two trackpads + d-pad seems like the perfect controller.
Then some bumblefuck at valve removed the d-pad and added a completely arbitrary analog stick.

I wish there was an easy way to connect my Switch Pro to PC. I hate having to sync it everytime and with the Wii U Pro I just press any button with the adapter connected and it is good to go.
The whole connecting process is what's stopping me from switching fully to Switch pro on PC

Not him but Switch Pro has a fucked up dpad and I enjoy the symmetrical layout more. The dpad and face buttons being on the bottom is pretty much the snes controller layout. Wii U pro would be perfect if it had gyro.

At least the best PS4 game uses it since the best Sony studio actually keeps up with gameplay trends rather than simply trying to sell games with graphics and story. However, to get to your actual point, there is no controller that fits all of my preferences. However, gyro is definitely required even if developers think their player base is too dumb to add it to their games.

I can't say about any of the clones. The magic ns works good already and has worked good for about 2 years for me already.

Well I found your problem. Sony's controller layout is god tier. What's holding it back is the battery time and the huge unnecessary touchpad that I think only 3 games ever used. Nier Automata only used it so you can pet your pod.
