What visual novels would you recommend?
What visual novels would you recommend?
none because VNs are fucking boring
Fate/Stay Night.
Katawa shoujo
Monster Girl Quest.
Starts as eroge JRPG parody, actually turns in a pretty good story about coexistence.
Fpbp, /thread.
Look no further, /vn/ has you covered
subahibi
fpwp
PS:T best vn
kraptawa shitjo is not a game
Love Ribbon for some nice sisterly love.
Has strong steam reviews.
No shit, it's a VN thread.
why is there so much anger in you towards this vn?
Dies Irae, Fate and Umineko
Dunno how much of a VN danganronpa is, but the games are great. Be sure to play them and maybe leave this thread if you care about spoilers
don't do this its ass.
maitetsu
HemoImo
Ace Attorney
blazblue
>And then the delinquents fought biker gangs! And then the military! And then vampires! Ninjas too!
This game reads like it was written by an eight year old on a sugar rush and yet somehow it plays more like a business management sim than it does a wargame. I love every minute of it
I really enjoy Rewrite.
Muv-Luv trilogy.
actually just Alternative, but I wouldn't recommend skipping the first 2
Tsukihime, Umineko, YMK, S;G, Ever 17, 999, UnderwarerRayRomano, and YU-NO.
Any good ones with some gameplay elements with them? I've enjoyed MGQ and Evenicle (apart from Aster's character). Any suggestions would be apperciated
just started this and it's really fun, been a while since I got this into a VN.
Though I have to admit, I went a little retard on the timeline stuff and got stuck for a bit.
this or any other game by Alicesoft, really
But outside of the low rent porn scene, all kinds of professionally published video games are told in VN format. It's very common among strategy games and JRPGs just because of how cheap it is to do.
The answer is always Muv Luv. The whole fucking thing, you won't want to stop. Ignore people that say to skip any parts of it.
Muv Luv is shit for edgelord tryhards and autists who love reading textwalls about space time pseudoscience. Anyone over the age of 18 need not waste their time with it
Subahibi but only if you aren't a brainlet.
This sort of opinion only started existing once it was released on Steam. Everyone who played it when it was a fan translation loved it.
Steins;Gate Elite, ditch anything else.
>VNs are for autists
More news at 11.
>textwalls about space time pseudoscience.
Sounds like gen X shit the boomers over at godlikeproductions would enjoy.

Keep an eye on Raging Loop, it's one of the more recent hits.
Starts with a thrilling death game with psychological warefare, to a dark and gruesome path while uncovering stuff, then ending with some 2deep4me madness.
>The Witcher 3
??
Play Umineko
>To aid players in uncovering the murderer, several of the townsfolk have abilities granted to them by one of five guardian beasts. First off, the villager with the wolf ability has to kill one person a day. It looks like the village might be home to more than one of these “wolves.” Someone with the power of the snake can see if a person is either human or a wolf. The spider ability can protect one human from being killed. Two villagers were given the gift of the monkey, which lets them know each other’s identity. Finally, the crow can determine if a murdered villager was a human or a wolf
A murder mystery VN with mafia-esque gameplay sounds sweet.
428 Shibuya Scramble, but it doesn't have any waifus so it's probably not for half of you.
>Eve
It's a good game, but the ending is shit and from what I hear the translation is supposed to be complete garbage even by VN standards.
Half of them on there aren't vns, TW3 is just the more obvious one.
999 and vlr are good if you like puzzles
>vlr
>good
>all ages
SeaBed
Fata Morgana
>eroge
Cross Channel
Subahibi
Play Remember11
Little Busters. Be prepared to take a week off to emotionally recover.
No, play I/O instead
every time i play or watch sad shit people say are sad i feel nothing.
One of the only VNs, along with maybe Steins;Gate, I would say are true art.
Maybe you're already dead on the inside, then?
LB is fine. I'm an easily influenced baby, but the only game that had me still thinking about it the next day was Muv-Luv.
Give Subahibi a read next.
How's World End Syndrome ?
Is it worth its full price ?
It was better than zero time dilemma
Even with the mirror bullshit and old man
>the witcher 3
>not kamige
And this is why this chart is shit.
Is Root Double any good
Chracacter rotues = romance endings but the romance isn't very well developed.
The other stuff are good (SoL humor, mysteries, CG) but not exactly top tier level. Style preference aside I think the CG and especially background CG are great. You have some freedom to choose your events, at a small cost of some extra work to figure out how to get the flags. That may be a plus if you prefer some interaction.
Good entry all in all, whether that's worth full price depends on you.
