If they get rid of the always online bullshit, maybe.

I actually bought it today along with the legacy pack to get the other nuHitman.

Are banks actually this huge in big cities?

Pretty solid, but too brief. And really easy even on master.
But overall it's one of the better levels. Way better than Columbia.

No, what are you gonna do? Hit me?!

It needs more guards in the hallways leading from the backroom to the vault. And move the chloroform somewhere else. Also an additional guard or two in the one room where the target goes after the market crash would be good since you can easily climb the rail up and hide until she's alone in it.

Still online only?
Fuck IO
waiting till its $5.

Don't forget that it rewards you with a weapon that makes Elusive Targets and Master difficulty incredibly easy

Relatively small, but pretty kino

Bigger, it's more than just a bank

I spent all my capitalismbux or I would.

Anyone want a pile of steam keys to buy it for me?

>Targets won't make someone pick up a phone for them
>Electrocution is a lethal accident so they can die in front of a crowd and you still get SA
What were they thinking

>What were they thinking
they are charging 40 bucks for that gimmick.

Is there an easier way to get the secret exit without scaring all the bankers away or pulling the fire alarm a bunch of times until they leave?

I'll pretend it doesn't exist until they patch out ALL online crap.
Not even a mad piratefag because it's pretty easy to get a 100% save for unlocks, I'm just very upset with this "turning games into a service" fad.

Attached: 1354463339306.png (319x378, 160K)

you'll be pretending for eternity

>The lightest gold bar on average is still 25lbs
>Throw one at someone's head
>"Unconscious"

Attached: wot.png (285x228, 81K)

I already do. Finishing all the challenges in the new Colombia map and the new phone makes SASO on master a childs play.

based
who are they even trying to defend against? HITMAN is fairly niche anyways. plus at this point they could/should just quietly remove the online-only stuff in a patch, and most pirates wouldn't notice/follow the game enough to notice.

>47 can throw a 25 lb brick across a room and directly into someone's head

Superior genes from five of the biggest crime lords of the planet. Then just supersize that.

>he also throws it light enough that the person isn't dead on impact

Garrett also bashes people over the head with a bag full of lead and never ends up killing them.

If i have hitman 1 and buy hitman 2 do i delete hitman 1 or does it use the levels from that game?

Delete Hitman 1.

Hitman 2 has you download the Hitman 1 levels, tweaked to that standard.

I couldn't activate Legacy content in H2 without re-installing H1. I bought H2, uninstalled H1 and then immediately had to re-download it again to get the Legacy content.

Just realized you can throw bombs at people. It knocks them out the same way a blunt melee tool would AND it sticks an explosive on their face. Im gonna have so much fun with this dumb shit

Attached: 1548944535236.png (1000x940, 728K)

>playing on console

So should i delete hitman 1 after dling and playing hitman2 abit then?

For some reason they made it way easier to break into the highly secured vault than to steal the 3 data discs that some NPCs and the target are carrying.

You could technically do something like shooting the guy at the PC with the tranq gun and then quickly sell the stocks since it doesn't count against your SA rating.

Steam. I've never played any Hitman game on a console.

>optimized like shit
>nothing innovative about world interaction ( or innovative in general )
>silent assassin is ZERO fun
nah

nice try homo you are not welcome here. pc chads only

I was watching some gameplay of this the other day and thought it would be a cool engine to make something like a terrorist/heist game.
Situations such as fucking up government buildings or maybe you could go the school shooting route idk, both sound cool imo.
Maybe add a management aspect to the game, so that every mission depends a little on how good you did previously and changing the equipment you get.
Multiplayer could also work well pretty much like payday.

I'm trying, but the Miami mission put me off and the Colombia one doesn't do much to fix it.

You're wrong and the FAQ is wrong too. I know for a fact that on February 1st 2019 I had to re-download Hitman 1 on Steam in order to access Legacy content. If that is no longer the case, then IOI has actually managed to fix one part of the shitload of fuck that is this inter-product connectivity. I don't care what you think or how that FAQ contradicts my experience. It happened and I'm dictating to you the truth. This is not an argument and you will accept what I'm saying or remain stubbornly ignorant.

I have

Cringe and autismpilled

You're wrong and your post is wrong too. I know for a fact that on 13. Nov 2018 I did not had to re-download Hitman 1 on Steam in order to access Legacy content. If that is no longer the case, then IOI has actually managed fuck one part of the shitload of fuck that is this inter-product connectivity. I don't care what you think or how your post contradicts my experience. It happened and I'm dictating to you the truth. This is not an argument and you will accept what I'm saying or remain stubbornly ignorant.

That's how it worked back in November 18 too. IO specifically asked people to redownload H1 to ease the process of getting legacy.
I never found out if it was required, but I re-downloaded it just in case.

Years of practice

This holy shit

This. You get every access you need from killing the target, and can easilly distract guards in front of the vault by turning a tv on. It's ridiculously easy.

I am, decided to finally get mastery level 20 on all of the legacy missions since I got it on the bank.
Constantly having to restart Marrakesh SASO master because I'm making stupid mistakes is going to be the reason I uninstall.
I still have all of Colorado to do as well.

Poison the food and wake up the waiter to kill the general so that you never even have to enter his area. Kill the other target with the new phone.

It was an absolute clusterfuck thematically, visually, and mechanically. Barely any ways of assassination were fun, and all of them required some ridiculous waiting times between triggers, plus half the time they didn't make sense like the only way to get the military general's uniform for the combat AI accident was by starting a generator in the gardener's shed that he'd for some reason go to check out. Also lots of vision zones were broken, sometimes a crime could be noticed through a wall, while other times AI wouldn't see you performing a crime in plain view. Only execution I enjoyed was dropping Knox on his daughter's racecar as she goes by, and that one relied both on boring wait for Knox to get to the satellite, and exploiting retarded AI to get the bodyguard away from him.

The level is really comfy and the music is great

I've been playing almost non-stop since the bank released.
I took a break after around the fourth or fifth elusive target and just started playing again.

What HITMAN™ to get?
Should I buy the GOTY of Hitman (2016) or Hitman 2?
I've thoroughly enjoyed a few Splinter Cell games, and beat Absolution 5 years ago or so. It was pretty good.

I think Hitman 2 Gold edition is your best bet someone else in the thread already stated, but don't quote me on it.

Also I played a bit of the first one and a bit of the second one when it first came out and enjoyed it but not hugely then saw this dlc and bought it in the sale and I'm hooked. I've done all challenges on New York and I'm going to 100% the game now including season 1.

Also why is there no stealth game general on /vg/?

Attached: 1519152287009.png (645x773, 10K)

I'm not talking about HITMAN™ 2. I'm talking about actual Hitman 2.

Attached: latest[1].jpg (1359x831, 224K)

If you can't decide, get Hitman 2016. It's got more great missions and also bad ones, whereas the sequel has consistently decent ones but no highs or lows, and the missions are pretty huge. So I think 2016 is better for someont who hasn't played either. Also 2016 has some of the best tutorial levels ever made.

HITMAN™ 2 has all the mission from the first game as DLCs. Unless you really want to count your pennies, it'll be simpler to just get its full pack.

No reason to buy Hitman 1 at his point when you can buy Hitman 2 with literally all of 1 included. That way you get to use the unlocks from both games on all the maps.

Okay, disregard this because I suspect you'd get more bang for your buck getting the content of H2016 with your purchase of H2. I don't want you to waste your money unless you really want to support IO

Oh.
What gave it away

Because that's the only way to get SA rating in one of the most memorable missions of the game.

Honestly I think 47 talked a lot more in the older games. nu-47 sounds tired and only speaks when making assassination puns and one liners. (Not complaining, I really enjoyed the realtor dialogue.)

Attached: 1514478050364.jpg (452x587, 23K)

In the older games 47 usually only talks to the player and Diana, very occasionally talking to people. Silent Assassin has loads of narration but little interpersonal dialogue. So in these new games 47 is being a lot more social with the NPCs.

Gold edition of hitman 2, try the free levels first to see if you like it.
>Also why is there no stealth game general on /vg/?
Hitman and Splinter Cell threads always fall of Yea Forums and we hardly ever have threads as it is, I don't think there's enough of us to for a general.

>dev team can't even do cutscenes anymore because they lost their big daddy Square
>levels getting shorter and shorter

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come

The game truly does shine when you start going after the challenges. I pity pirate fags that can only do the main assassination missions.

Their new dlc level has cutscenes and the levels from 2 are better than 1.

What are you talking about? They decided to forego mocap cutscenes to funnel more funds into actual gameplay, which is why the missions ended up being much bigger. What exactly do you mean by "shorter"? Have you only played the New Zealand demo? Ironically, a rather long mission in chronological terms because it has a long sequence of timed NPC routines that go from beginning to end

I'm glad the Bank was a smaller level. It's a breath of fresh air from the other gigantic levels with 2+ targets.

Didn't Hitman 2 have performance issues?
>Hitman 2 Gold edition
a bit too expensive for me.
Will I miss anything important if I play Hitman 2016 and all of it's missions first?
Is Hitman 2 such a big improvement over Hitman 1?
I'm in no rush to play these games, but I'm more than happy to pay good money if I end up liking this vidya.

Attached: 1547764151740.jpg (1600x1259, 488K)

I hated doing some of the challenges because you basically had to sit around for a full 7 minutes until they finally went to bed.

You won't miss anything by playing Hitman 2016 first, in fact it's the preferred method in regards to unlocks and story.

Hitman 2 has some nice QoL mechanic upgrades and new unlocks with some decent levels, but 2016 has way more content. Like another user said, just buy HITMAN 2016 GOTY and then Hitman 2 free starter pack, then download the Legacy GOTY through the free Hitman 2 starter so you can play HITMAN 2016 with Hitman 2 mechanics and carry over your HITMAN 2016 unlocks to Hitman 2 levels.

I will say, I think HITMAN 2 levels are a bit better designed from some HITMAN 2016 levels due to the experience under IO interactive's belt at this point while HITMAN 2016 was a lot of testing and experimentation in some of the maps. It's definitely easier to SASO the HITMAN 2 maps compared to HITMAN 2016.

Attached: 1553867378755.jpg (184x184, 7K)

thank you. from what I gather, HITMAN 2 has superior gameplay to Hitman 2016.
Thank you for the advice.

>Didn't Hitman 2 have performance issues?
It's been the opposite for me. In fact some people have complained that somehow Hitman 2016 looks better in some circumstances and I believe it may have something to do with IOI optimizing the sequel better and causing slight visual fidelity drops. All I know is that Hitman ran horribly when I first played it and Hitman 2 has never had any performance issues on my system.

>In fact some people have complained that somehow Hitman 2016 looks better in some circumstances
I know IO went back and fucked with the lighting and post processing in some of the levels.

i finished the whole thing yesterday. story is really interesting. i don't like that they're taking time to release the next story missions. i was lucky i only bought the game a week ago so i could jump right into the bank mission but i feel sorry for the people who had to wait months for it.

They fixed it

the bank tanks performance for me when i the main area i think because of those screen space reflections on the ground

im more or less shocked that the fucking chloroform was right next to the security room AC unit. like make me go get that shit

not that guy, but let me get this straight

I can play Hitman 1 in Hitman 2 with just the free starter?

Do i need to download Hitman 1 first?

It's strange that they're choosing to continue the story via DLC. The story may not have progressed much, but it makes me wonder where Season 3 will pick up.

HONK HONK

Attached: 20190625204429_1.jpg (1920x1080, 403K)

Hitman 2 did run about 10% worse for me when I tested the legacy maps. May be because of the added foliage.

>I can play Hitman 1 in Hitman 2 with just the free starter?
Yes.

>Do i need to download Hitman 1 first?
Yes.

First, buy HITMAN 2016 GOTY. In the main menu screens, you should be able to download the Legacy GOTY voucher to use in HITMAN 2.

Once you have the Legacy Voucher, redeem it in the HITMAN 2 free starter main menu. Afterwards, you can download the HITMAN 2016 levels in HITMAN 2 and can uninstall the original HITMAN 2016 game.

Good question.

I'm still waiting for Diane to go nuclear again.

>fails to kill target with his elaborate trap
>dies of shame

She's clearly bottling it up and not telling 47 at this stage. The Bank and The Resort seem to be about tracking down The Partners, but Season 3 will probably be about killing them.

when is season 3 out?
also i'm pretty sure they'll have some plot twist where diana gets pissed at 47 for killing her parents

>47 going up against "them."
It's a step up, that's for sure

we don't know yet, but i think they will continue with episodic releases, now that the game has already a shitload of content.

But is it not too much of a step up?

After 47 kills the 3 most powerful people in the world, where does the series go from there?

Attached: 1515408032490.jpg (290x364, 24K)

Yeah. Why do I need to be online to see states and get a rating and weapon unlocks? What's in it for SE? I'm not paying them any more by doing this, just my ISP.

Was a pretty nice map. Ended up doing the thing where you crash the stock market to kill the target.

Attached: 20190629185515_1.jpg (1920x1080, 372K)

I like this. The meme is being used correctly too.

requesting agent bogdanoff crashing the stock

Killing normal people is still fun.

>I'm just a low level doorman, let me go! I have a wife and kids!

I really like the New Yorker suit and coat. It's even wet when you start the mission with it because it is raining outside.

What about when you start in locations where it isn't raining?

It's dry then. I think it is the only suit that gets wet if you start the bank though.

I'd like a game about doing low-tier assassinations as a low level hitman. GTA IV is closest game I can think of that gives that kind of experience.

I bet 47 didn't even kill Diana's parents and it was just another clone.

He remembers after 6's serum. They can't be some other clone's memories.

It might have been Subject 6 now that I think of it.

That wasn't a memory.

Wait are there new levels now? How many? I'm super excited I wanted to play it again soon anyhow.

mmmmm salty pirate tears

hahahahahahhahahaha

Attached: grunch poopy.jpg (454x368, 29K)

One, the bank. It was released earlier this week.
There's another one coming later, it seems to be an island.

One full level set in a Bank in New York and 2 special assignments in Mumbai and Santa Fortuna were released a few days ago. The special assignments are pretty bad sadly. No really unique stuff like The Icon had back in Sapienza.

I'm a pirate and I unlocked everything from the start with a downloaded save file that works offline. Only thing that doesn't work is ratings.

awwwww is the little pirate fag mad? lmao cry harder

Attached: grunch.jpg (625x415, 46K)

If someone could just inject a poison to convince people of things, assassinations wouldn't even be needed because you could just squirt your agendas into your chosen world leaders.

>im a pirate

Attached: 1453519055704.gif (300x225, 1.99M)

Changing someone's personality is the same as killing them.

The serum was a stupid plot device anyway. It would have been far more interesting if 47 knew about Janus all along but just chose not to say anything because he didn't care.

Why am I a pirate?

Because I just ARRRRRR.

Yeah, they shouldn't go giving 47 emotions and shit.

I can't play Hitman, I just feel too tempted to just shoot my way through instead of looking for the level's gimmick.

Like how in Dishonored 2 you can make a genius inventor and absolute idiot and it ruins his life

Well he did always have emotions but they were beaten out of him. He tried to have a pet mouse in Romania but iirc it was taken away and killed, and he was disciplined. After that he suppressed everything and has been that way ever since.

He always had emotions if the plot of Silent Assassin is anything to go on. He just chose to repress them. The serum is a retcon since it implies that 47's emotions were suppressed unwillingly.

hahaha

>No emotions
He fell in love with Victoria

what vidya does he play?

Attached: 1561595503510.jpg (352x550, 15K)

>he didn't get the plot of Absolution
The game lies to you from the beginning. 47 doesn't try to save Victoria out of some sentimental promise to a dead Diana. He doesn't go around exacting revenge against those who had abused her. He was hired to stage Diana's assassination by Diana and to kill everyone who knew anything about Victoria and to root out a rogue faction inside the ICA. Every part of the gameplay or 47's behavior that is shown during the game that somehow tries to make it seem like 47 is acting out of character is just IOI bullshitting the player, and the epilogue confirms that it was actually just a big job. It's lazy writing, and basically narrative cheating, but everything else about that game sucks too so what did you expect?

Lei Ling better be in season 3 goddamnit.

Attached: LeiLing.jpg (474x699, 26K)

The online shit is gay as fuck and hurts even paying customers. I wanted to start a new game and redo all the challenges but my only options for that are apparently either making an entirely new steam account or literally asking ioi to wipe my save data because it's all saved on their servers. In Blood Money, I could just make a new profile in not even 15 seconds.

It's also a once in a blue moon thing, but it's still complete bullshit to not be able to progress in a singleplayer game that you paid for because your internet went out or, even worse, the dev's servers are down. It's a genuine shame that such a great game is still shackled to this bullshit. It's difficult to even get friends interested in this game when you have to add that caveat onto every recommendation.

>47 can knock people out with a muffin and a rolled up newspaper
>Can somehow not kill someone with a gold bar to the head
Is it possible to learn this power

>start a new game
You can always just use the default load out for the same experience.

I don't want to just use the default loadout though. I want to redo all the levels entirely and slowly unlock more tools and locations that give me more options as I progress from level to level.

>tfw no Agent Smith since Hokkaido

So. Is there a way to get to the parking garage before you unlock it through mastery?

Ah I don't bother with the sniper maps.

Newspaper should behave like apples. Knocks them down to the ground but they get up and go on alert if you dont finish the job. Its weird that it KOs them

Maybe they're allergic to newsprint

What do you anons think of the soundtrack? I know it's not nearly as good as the Kyd tracks from earlier works, but I think the new OST fits the game pretty well.

Best song, especially in the game with the indoor reverb

Hitman 2's music is definitely an improvement over 2016. I really like Whittleton Creek, Isle of Sgail, and the bank's music. It fits really well.

I wasn't a huge fan at first, but I fucking love that GitS bulgarian choir ambience that kicks in when you're near the beach in Mumbai.

It does a great job with dynamic transitions depending on whats happening, and I think the composer(s)/designers have gotten better over time with the HITMAN 2 maps/content.

I thought you could perform a heist with some random criminal by putting on bank robber costume, but you couldn't. IO shill lied.

They really rushed bank mission. Chloroform next to control room. Can knock out all guards by pushing AC button. Right from beginning of mission you can just sneak into vault area.

Nice map, but they really fucked up making it so easy.

He was one of the most realistic targets in the entire series. 47 probably had to deal with tons of petty revenge killings like that.

>realistic targets
How did some upper-middle class family afford one of the most prestigious and expensive assassins in the entire world though?

Attached: 1503551471375.png (314x278, 129K)

I'm still not sure how the ICA determines cost, but I mean Clarence isn't some Saturday morning cartoon villain like most of the targets are in the series. Even then it could've been a wealthy family or some shit.

I wonder how that dude even got in contact with the ICA considering they are extremely secretive and hard to get a hold of. Almost all the levels/contracts in nu-HITMAN are high profile Illuminati/global corporation contracts with high dollar values. I mean 47 almost fuckin killed that dude near the end of Blood Money who approached him out of the blue asking for him to take a hit on the vice president because it would compromise his identity, and he also straight up murdered a mailman in Contracts just because there was a slight chance he could know who he was.

It's implied he took shortcuts and didn't maintain his shit. But he was clearly already dead on the inside.
That whole level is retarded
>Go to Baltimore
>Fight niggers
>Kill some low end carnival guy
This is way below ICA tier. Wtf.

Where is the peeping hole in the bank?

>This is way below ICA tier. Wtf.
Now that you put it that way, I see where you guys are coming from. A job like that could've been handled by some street thug or that other hitman in the India mission.

Bathroom with job applicant, go to the stall opposite his and take the lead pipe from the wall.

>peephole is in the bathroom stall
47 WAIT NO

I assume the ICA hands out jobs like the hit on Clarence to some of their lower-tier agents. The fact that the ICA accepted the contract isn't the issue here, the issue is why they sent 47 to do it.

In fact the more you think about Death of A Showman, the less sense it makes:
>47 gets sent on a job way below his paygrade
>canonically kills non-targets including Clarence's niece
>somehow also canonically gets SA for the mission according to the paper Parchezzi reads in the post-mission cutscene

I'd like to know what the fuck IO were smoking when they came up with this mission.

I really hope the fall content is much better than two garbage permanent ETs and one small, easy real map, otherwise buying the expansion pass was an enormous waste.

Me too lol

Maybe it took place a little after 47 was just hired by the ICA? BM's story is all about looking back at his past hits leading up to his capture.

Anyway it's just a tutorial so no point in looking that much into it.

Thanks. Hadn't bothered taking out that lead pipe before since I always had a bunch of melee weapons by that point.

Oh shit, 47 does kill his cute niece. I forgot.

That level really sucks lol.

I loved the story telling in BM's levels. There were hints in each level that foreshadowed future things that were going to happen in the story, that and the newspaper results did that too. I really wish they would give a fun stats screen again with weird rankings/titles

It took place in Fall 2003, which is after the events of SA and after The Meat King's Party.

I'm sure they didn't put too much through into it as it was a tutorial. It's to bad though, a dilapidated factory occupied by gangsters would be a fantastic map. I definitely think the 2016 tutorial was better since it allowed the user to play in the more traditional Hitman style as opposed to just killing everyone.

Well, fuck. I guess 47 was caught being a pervert to the female agents and was downgraded to low end hits.

I’ll wait for the “complete” version

It might be ICA fuckery

Bretty good
how long did that take you to get right?

literally since the game launched. i played every day until i got it right

i feel like i wasted my time

Send it to IO's twitter or something to get it featured.

I was listening to the Freedom Fighter's soundtrack, and I found this song that feels like an unofficial track from Codename 47.

Will someone please do the sniper assassin shit with me? I have every achievement not related to sniper maps and you HAVE to play co op to 100%. I'm on pc and have not found a partner after over an hour of searching

Would 47 bite down or take it with an emotionless face....asking for IO's writing staff.

I'd agree if it didn't cost me $40 eight months ago.

sure i can. what is your steam

Yeah so far the pass sucks for just $40. Thankfully I waited until the sale and bought it for $20. But even then I don't give a shit about the sniper map.

Play with YOU?!!? PFFTTT no way fagboy hehehe

noobs. i got the gold edition for 60 bucks at launch

Damn, that sounds awful. Is Hitman (2016) like this too? I was thinking about picking that up but I live way out in the mountains and have no internet a lot of the time.

Cringed

Cocaine Jesus

>over friend's house
>super casual gamer, but is interested in the new Hitman games
>asks me if he really has to stay online in order to play
They've probably lost so many potential sales from this bullshit.

Yeah, both games have it, sadly.

there are 50 of those

probably the one that last played SA.

I thought he uses a blackjack?

And the episodic nature of the release, it doesn't bother me but it's clear so many people have an issue with always online and episodic that I don't know why they do it. Hopefully this isn't the case with H3
