I don't fancy shelling out £50+ for the official pro Switch controller, and prefer wired controllers - are the PowerA controllers any good? Is there a better wired controller out there?

Help a G out.

PowerA controllers are nowhere near as good as the official.

I have that exact controller that I use for smash. It's good but buttons feel cheap when you press down

>controller costs more than a game

With the little time I had fiddling around with one, they are very light weight compared to the pro controllers since they don't have rumble and the matted finish is kinda' nice.
is right about the buttons feeling cheap, but the controller works well enough.

The wired controllers don’t have as many features as the wireless ones. It’s not just the same controller with a wire. They’re cheaper and shittier.
PowerA controllers aren’t even that great in the first place.

PowerA's controllers have this thing where they work like a dream for the first year or so, and then the joystick starts uncontrollably drifting and fucking you up. Cleaning doesn't work, and the Switch's built-in calibration function doesn't work with wired controllers for whatever reason.

I hate controllers that feel cheap - sounds like I'm just going to have to take the hit for a pro controller, then. Thanks for your feedback on this guys.

hardware should ALWAYS cost more than software

>Nintendo still hasn't fixed the faulty Dpad problem
I guess if you want to play a game solely with the Dpad you're still stuck with double joycons or having to buy a pokken tournament pad/arcade stick.

Get a chinese knockoff pro controller, it's wireless, it plays great, it's WIRELESS, it has MOTION CONTROLS, and WORKS!
Seriously, all third parties should take notes, same price for a superior controller. The rumble is basic and there's no NFC support, but it's not like the "official unofficial ones" have any of that either.

8bitdo snes ones are decent

If you already have an xbox or ps controller just get a brook adapter for £25-30. They even work wirelessly they are great. I use my DS4 and my arcade stick on my Switch with a ps3/4 to switch brook converter

8bitdo adapters are around 15

They only work wirelessly so you can't use any wired controllers such as arcade sticks

The Power A controllers are fine for budget controllers but the thumbsticks are HUGE and there is no rumble whatsoever

get mayflash then

The thumbsticks also wear out and start rotating, but at least they don't drift.

i aint buying cheap shit when brook are shown to be the choice for fighting games due to low delay

Why are you poor

Thats what I told your mum when I sold her my dick
