can low res ve considered an aesthetic choice for playing? I have games that I can run at 60fps and max graphics but in the end I always lower everything since I like the shitty look and feel of it
nah. don't feel like it.
shouldnt you atleast have the draw distance on?
Skyrim looks the same at all settings.
why? thats not the lowest setting
>Skyrim just becomes ugly
>Oblivion becomes a late 90s MMO
Both are ugly
Skyrim textures dont mesh well with the models
>took a video game making class in high school
>assets looked like low res oblivion in bottom pic
That shits hitting me right where it feels comfy
That is how I first played Oblivion.
>video game making class in high school
what the fuck?
Are you implying Skyrim was ever pretty?
it was video game high school
I made my TF2 config out of an agglomeration of others and scouring through various forums to run it between 20-55. If anybody knows how to disable scout's third jump smoke effect while using the atomizer that would be great.
Fucking hell it's still a stutterfest
Anyone have that soldier from Call Of Duty on the Wii? The one that looks like it is smiling?
Its weird how Skyrim's settings have so little impact. These were the absolute lowest settings I could set.
I really like that one blobby Skyrim mod that gets posted on occasion.
The game was made to run on consoles and Bethesda had no reason to improve things for the pc.
Haha i'm having so much f-
>banned
T-thanks.
Oblivion looks strangely comfy.
I've always liked super low res far cry 2. I used to be able to get it running in 300x200 or something close to that.
why did low settings stop being much lower than high? In some games, you can barely see any differences when switching from low to high and it seems to happen now more than ever.
did you edit your picmip settings via GPU control panel? Thats an autoban in most FPS nowadays.
This happens because people will use hacks to remove terrain and be able to see things and players at times and in places they otherwise shouldn't be able to
Probably takes too much effort to make proper low quality. Instead they'll mostly just turn off some useless effects.
Or maybe it's just marketing thing. that way people can't post shitty looking screenshots that some people might confuse being how the game normally looks like.
they do it cause otherwise they get whiny annoying emails from players who got BTFO
Is this the poorfag cope thread?
so much for the blue milk run
>meanwhile it has been a week since the last BFV update that bugged a skin so much you are literally invisible with it
>no hotfixes so far
Electronic Arts. :)
>Probably takes too much effort to make proper low quality. Instead they'll mostly just turn off some useless effects.
Pretty much. Also the simply turn on effects too, like algorithims that reduce the texture and model quality and stuff instead of making brand new low-quality textures and models. It makes sense why devs don't bother specifically making low poly models, but it sure is nice for people with budget PCs.
No? I have an okay PC that I'm going to be upgrading with a new GPU as soon as we reach next hardware refresh from Nvidia (lol@u if you bought the RTX meme)
I run old games at whatever resolution is period correct, up to a point. I won't play 360 games in 720p, but I will play PS2/xbox ports at 480p, and PC games at 800x600 or 1024x768
False equivalency much? You shouldn't be allowed to play with such skewed picmip settings, EA being a dumb nigger developer that releases broken cosmetics has nothing to do with it.
Surprisingly aesthetic.
How do the baddies look tho?
you're more accurate in counterstrike at lower resolutions because there are fewer pixels
Does anyone else play on the lowest settings for the sake of performance? i always assumed people just liked the simplistic look. Personally, although my computer can handle temps up to 100 degrees celsius, I don't like it going anywhere near that and I want it to last for at least 5 years, so I never let any game go above 80. Much easier to do when everything is on lowest settings.
Also, what's the verdict on windowed versus fullscreen? Which one taxes your GPU the least?
>you're more accurate in counterstrike at lower resolutions because there are fewer pixels
Partially correct myth, you don't have the logic correct at all.
step it up senpais
windowed gets better performance linux babies shouldn't play games
>Also, what's the verdict on windowed versus fullscreen? Which one taxes your GPU the least?
Fullscreen and its not even close. Win10 has input lag in windowed mode too.
>The frame rate still isn't stable
I play in lowered settings on multiplayer games because of either
A) visual clutter from ultra FX such as particle effects being annoying
B) reducing stutters if they are an issue
I generally run single player at max everything.
You are really forced to download that guy's hack for it to stop stuttering.
If this had better contrast it would look like a painting.
>fullscrean
enjoy buggy/slow alt-tabs
>use two monitors
>game doesn't lock my cursor in borderless fullscreen
fuck any game that does this btw
>lowest settings
>1080p
are you fucking retarded
Kek, what game?
holy shit this game literally doesn't have any video settings what bullshit
kino
>TV resolution terminology
>for PC games
pic related, it's you
low settings at low res isn't intelligible enough to really tell
>playing in a resolution lower than the panel's
>although my computer can handle temps up to 100 degrees celsius
they all can, but you really should not be doing anywhere close to that if you have any hope for being able to use it in a few years
Fullscreen is optimal for performance in almost all cases
looks like nier automata on highest settings
Not entirely related, but here's a bunch of low vs high gifs that I made.
go away shill.
Oblivion's got that comfy MMO look
That sounds like the opposite, you would be faster but you're less accurate since there are fewer pixels.
>lowest settings
>all it does is turn off AA
>mfw this is the way it ran on my shitty intel hd4000
>19 fps when things were smooth
>still played all the way through
Is it just poorly optimized or does it look really gorgeous on higher end stuff? I remember playing DS2 just fine.
Jesus oblivion looks like a first person runescape almost
I played a lot of Oblivion at lowest settings back in 2006 because I had a shit PC, also Gothic 3, those were comfy times but running those games at max details was like a dream for me, I did it several years later and felt amazing.
>doom 3 mode
ok, I have no clue what game this is, pls help
I fucking gave up on playing FF15 on PC because of the stuttering and frame dips, I bought it really fucking cheap on the PS4 and it runs perfectly, on a fucking standard PS4, it makes me mad.
You have higher potential accuracy but that isn't how being a human works. Fewer pixels is less movement, larger target pixels and less data to process plus a higher potential framerate.
I remember Quakefags seeing how far they could push CRTs frames with low res for all of these reasons, but I could be remembering wrong and maybe LED/LCD isn't as benefited by these things as a CRT was
>Anti-Aliasing: On/Off
>Shadows: On/Off
Easily my favorite lazy-dev game settings.
Looks like the talos principle.
...
The Talos Principle
Skyrim is a console game, while Oblivion was a PC game.
Rott
It was a super bare bones class, teacher didnt teach shit. The program was liker game maker, but for 3D games. I ended up making a game where youre an attack helicopter gunning down zombies in the middle east.
Yeah, anyone smarter than you is a shill. Go away you dumb nigger redditor that sucks at videogames, this board isn't for casual newfaggots.
>optimization
>From Software
no
I like the more cleaner look, but games don't really do that anymore. it just makes it look more shittier if on lowest settings instead of more simplistic "cleaner" look.
and windowed takes more resources.
I feel like there's no people playing on PC with budget machines anymore, since the master race meme, everything is high end or go home.
Okay, anons. What games have the most useful and detailed graphics settings in the menus?
Rise of the Triad comes to mind. The game itself is pretty meh but the graphics settings variety is great. I wish every game had that level of visual control.
Yeah you're right I wish those images were 16 pixels by 9 pixels, this thread would be really good like that.
you do not fit in, user.
if that's what you're wondering.
oblivion had more changeable settings
nice
Serious Sam BFE has the most needlessly detailed graphics settings I've ever seen.
I think I remember the first Bioshock didn't have the most useful settings but it had tooltips that explained each setting that was neat. I might be mistaken on the game though.
Rise of the Triad
I'm not trying to "fit in" I'm trying to call you out for being a casual fucking retard.
>point out that skewed picmip settings warp a game
>lol you're just a shill!!!
You're the one trying to fit in you stupid monkey. Get a clue and actually play a videogame before you post on this board.
>still no FOV slider
early flat panels had lag CRTs were mostly for low latency I thought
This screenshot made me look up this game and I'd somehow never heard of it. It looks like it rules, does it?
shadow warrior 2 has a nice options list
And the low PC settings is akin to the PS4s quality.
Use TRAM at a lower setting and you'll see the game running better.
It's also crucial you have 8 cores since the game is threaded to use 8 cores.
I fucking hate frog posters so much
The first thing I noticed was the textures but there's a bit more going on
You need to go even further beyond
looks kind of like a prerendered image from Myst
Is this the pocket edition?
Is this actually a Switch multiplat thread?
Or a voxel demo.
>screenshot of Daggerfall on highest settings
read the fucking op
Is there a way to play the full game like this?
Clearly it's Xenoblade 2
The fuck are you talking about?
Pyramid Head Gang?
The older I get, the more I opt for lower settings. Modern games are too fucking detailed and it's hard to differentiate important objects from environmental clutter.
Talos Principle has the same graphics options. It's incredible how many there are, and they're even labelled for what they actually do.
Based BOOMer
If ray tracing really takes off that's probably a bad idea
world detail, effects, etc. on low/medium settings
Character detail, textures, etc. on ultra settings
Enjoy players/enemies standing out while the game doesn't even look that bad. Most devs just use shitty algorithims and effects for the lower settings instead of making new models and textures, so you can blatantly see what has the "filters" over them versus what doesn't.
And if that's not enough there's always the console.
>dawn of war 2
>soulstorm
Do lowest settings on XIV still turn Miqo'te tails into pipe cleaners?
???
Nevermind I realized you were making a joke
cringe
SSFusion beats both of them and I shudder at the thought what SS4's options menu will look like.
user, that dark souls 3 screen I posted is running at 560p. I just stretched it to fit the monitor in fullscreen because I didn't want to play it in a tiny window lol
Hat in Time has a really detailed graphics menu. It even comes with a detailed explanation of what everything does.
Real talk: why does Xenoblade 2 look so ass in handheld mode when other Switch games with objectively more shit going on look fine? It doesn't make any sense for BOTW to run at 720p undocked and then XB2 to run at 360p
you're defending ea, that's pretty basic shill behaviour, you fucking wankstain.
never reply to me again.
>EA is bad, so everything they do is bad!
That's how retarded you sound right now, "wankstain." EA banning people for editing picmip values is a good thing and is bog standard among any game dev or publishers that makes FPS games.
What are you, a cheater?
I'm probably just talking out of my ass here, but I feel like Xeno2's development got fucked over when Monolith were brought over to work on Breath of the Wild.
That and the switch is just a piece of shit hardware-wise in general, handheld mode especially.
>That and the switch is just a piece of shit hardware-wise in general, handheld mode especially.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the handheld mode isn't actually different from the dock mode besides having a power supply. Some games run at a higher graphics or resolution in dock mode but usually suffer FPS slowdown as a result, like in breath of the wild. They usually just do it because the system wont drain in 1 hour now. I don't see how the dock could have anything inside it that makes your GPU or CPU run faster.
bretty guud
its not even possible thew usb c port on the switch is usb 2 not even close to enough bandwidth for that kind of thing to work
American education
I'm used to AA settings letting you pick between x4 x8 x16 etc. is that not the standard anymore?
Also I didn't know you couldn't use TAA with multi-gpu, thats neat.
I'm a brainlet. Does the RAM meter mean that it still has some left over to use?
Bullshit those tree textures are definitely not from the base game
user...
Yes, about 4 GB free.
It is, its more about the game showing you what the settings change and how it will look.
About over 10 years ago rendering was switched to deferred lighting and MSAA was no longer possible
Oblivion is absolutely a port. Morrowind was the last TES game to not be.
prove it faggot!!!!!
>enable lowest settings
>still runs like shit
>enable lowest settings
>still runs like shit
>still enjoy it because of nostalgia for the earlier days when you didn't have a capable PC and your standards were lower, and when something did run better than you expected or even ran at all it was a pleasant surprise
Which game is this? Google searching isn't helping me out.
this is doom 2016 all the way even on a gtx 2080ti it runs like absolute shit no matter what settings you use
Low-settings Oblivion looks kinda comfy.
Runs like a dream on my old piece of shit with a 290x.
Your shit must be getting bottlenecked somewhere. Runs perfectly on my 1080ti.
>power of the PC masterrace
I would say it unironically is.
turning everything off and playing something in 8K frames per seconds is nonsensical, but better being able to and not need it than need it and not being able to.
Damn that Daggerfall Unity is looking good
nope its coupled with a 9900k 32 gigs of ram i have the monitor cables plugged into the ports near the usb ports everything is setup properly but i only get about 25 FPS on a good day
>Doom 2016
>runs like absolute shit
Lies. Doom 2016 is one of the most optimized PC titles ever. Can't wait for Eternal to provide ten times the enemy count and detail level at the same performance level
i have seen gameplay looks like full levels with little arena areas is back
do u r hav stupid
need to clarify very few arena areas
looks like shadow warrior 2
>I run old games at whatever resolution is period correct, up to a point.
Sure alright, makes sens-
>and PC games at 800x600 or 1024x768
ur brain is low res lmfao
I had a sneaking suspicion it was that because of the punny name for the listed objective, but I couldn't remember how the new games looked. Thanks for the answer.
i think people underrestimate how important these are, thanks to all that easy tweaking i was able to make SS and Talos look super good and run really nicely
dude what i was able to make it run at 60fps on my GTX 660
Morrowind came out on the original Xbox and Todd claimed it was "best on Xbox".
>have a friend who still runs a 768 as his main monitor
>keeps denying up and down that it's a shitty resolution by today's standards
but it was still made with PC in mind
Todd claims a lot of things.
you climbing mountains again?
>actually taking Todd seriously
legitimately kill yourself
Denuvo
>nvidiot/incel builder can't even properly use his own hardware
Shit ran great even on 770 2gb, a 480 8gb managed to run it 1440p@60fps at high/very high settings
Even the pozzed intel 6500 managed to not shit the bed
>sucks at videogames
But you're the one who purchased an EA game.
Yeah, on horseback.
The Division 1 had surprisingly good video settings for a Ubishit game.
Never said I did, I just thought it was funny.
The game was barely even playable on Xbox.
Care to elaborate?
GPU and CPU clock is kinda halved in portable.
There are mods that increase the clocks, coupled with changing some graphic settings in the game can make it run at 720.
I don't care though, never play in handheld. And it's still better than FUCKING STUUTTTERS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>Actually defending EA after 2009
Is this your first time playing vydia? I know it's not I just like being mean to retards who support EA.
I don't play Battlefield games, they suck.
But if you think a company is bad for banning people who edit picmip values you clearly suck shit at videogames because you don't understand the implications such a setting change causes. Go back to playing single player story driven experiences, ok reddit?
>implying I bought the game
This is running without denuvo
hello denuvo shill
Where in my post do I claim support for EA? This has to be bait at this point, nobody is this purposefully stupid. I guess this is summer Yea Forums right now.
which games have 16 pixels by 9 pixels as a choice?
It's pretty good, GOG gave it away a while back, currently also on sale on Steam (even cheaper if you own Shadow Warrior '1' and/or the old original).
store.steampowered.com
>ok reddit?
If you think EA is cancer over bans, and that that's what people typically complain about, then you're more retarded than I gave you credit for, sorry.
Probably when you were backing them up
I'll back up any game developer that bans people for cheating, why wouldn't you? Do you even realize you're trying to go "ea bad" over them banning cheaters?
There's nothing cancerous about banning people over cheating. Your head has to be very far up your own ass to try and say a company is bad for banning cheaters.
Still looks better than the console versions.
>why wouldn't you?
Because EA is cancer on the industry. The ban thing isn't what makes them cancer, you god damn underage b&.
wew feel bad for all the suckers who actually had to do this
I never said they weren't cancer for other things, but the whole context of this reply chain was someone acting like EA was cancer for banning people who edit picmip values. I don't think you understand how this website works, I suggest going back where you came from or lurking moar.
This mankind divided? What the fuck was up with that game.
Good game but it was a bitch to run
eh totally playable
I played like this and without sound. Was my first experience with PC gaming. Also played Wolfenstein on that PC, ran much better.
>someone acting like EA was cancer for banning people
That was your own misinterpretation friendo. You never clarified your stance other than 'bans are good' till this post. No one mentioned EA was bad for bans or the type of bans. Maybe just don't defend one of the worst companies out there next time? It's cool if you're new to the board culture. Maybe lurk moar next time tho.
Your setup is fucked, I've seen people play that with shitty APUs and still get high framerate.
You would rather stretch an old PC game out to 1080p when it wasn't intended that way?
Most old PC games are made for 800x600 or 1024x768
I love frog posters.
You have something fucked up. Check your drivers
>Not messing with the LOD bias to get this
We exist. I'm still rocking a first gen i7 and a R9 270x and will until at least PS5
> i have the monitor cables plugged into the ports near the usb ports everything
Oh... funny
I like this variant of Pepe. He's cute in a retarded way.
>he doesnt turn his skyrim into runescape
It looks like one of those shitty "Find the glowing symbols on the pillar" indie games
Looks like an indie game in the year 2015+4
You can do that in Planetside 2.
well heres how you do it
will work with pretty much any 3d game
we don't use the 'r' word around apu apustaja.
6yo me still thought it was awesome.
It's astonishing how ugly vanilla Skyrim is. I mean even for a fucking 2011 PS3 game, how did they manage it?
that's pretty comfy someone should make a mod to perfect it
are you trying to troll?
There was a project that was exactly that but I'm pretty sure it's dead
Croteam have said that they're the same tools that they use internally when optimizing the game, and they didn't see a reason that the player shouldn't have them either.
DS1 was atrocious at 15-20 fps, but DS2 somehow ran like butter on my old laptop.
Crackdown 3 had ridiculously comprehensive graphics settings.
I remember it very distinctly because I couldn't believe they'd put that much effort into the PC settings yet at the same time not see the stuttering issues that made the port unplayable no matter settings you had. That the game isn't even good when it runs right is just the final insult.
POGGERS dude
>he doesn't give a shit about playing old vidya in time period correct resolution
ah yes, I almost forgot that its summer
In comparison I think that DS2 is somehow more optimized than the rest of the games, emphasis on the "more" part.
that's not what was said in the post I replied to at all
did they at least fix the 60fps durability bug?
Because it looks like utter dogshit 90% of the time even when compared to the earlier titles.
>gets called out for strawman
>"s-shill!!!"
faggot
Now THIS is fucking based. Why won't more developers do this? They literally have the dozens upon dozens of graphical options coded and available as console commands already, why not integrate them into the retail game while you're at it and label it as something only advanced users should dwell into so as not to scare off normalfags? It barely takes any additional development time but does so, so much for people willing to polish their experience to a shine.
all their games run well on PC, and they make do with what they get on console
DeS ran at nearly flawless 30fps except for when breaking world objects (if you claim otherwise you didn't play it btw) and yet graphically it was amazing for the time, even had 1080i IIRC
croteam is what CDPR shills insist CDPR are, yet they couldn't be further from the truth
>1080
>not lowest setting
Found the so(n)ygger
Probably talking about Special K's fix for XV.
Also: a major problem why XV stutters is because SE was incompetent enough to not know how to handle different peripherals. When you use a controller the game will constantly switch between controller and kbm controls, which causes the stuttering. Special K fixes this, among other things. It also gives you the ability to remove the -43921084573218 diopter Noctis seems to have.
no
also lightning damage of some spell is still fucked, making cleric-type leveling pretty shitty
also this
>run well
no. the engine is fucked, renders stuff that is not visible, hence the framerate dips when you "look" at distant architecture that's behind a wall. if they had fixed that issue, it would actually run ok
In Croteam's case they can do that because they wrote their engine entirely themselves and didn't just grab Unity or Unreal off the shelf with no intention to modify it.
sorry but I played all dark souls games on PC and never did they drop under 30/60 FPS. same for Sekiro
And I still insist DeS is a wonder of optimization considering ps3's retarded hardware
Real reason is that games are developed for consoles. That's also why we have such shitty UI that barely works with m&k. Since console always have the same hardware, they don't bother making real low settings.
ok, I give you DeS. however, I experienced inconsistend frame rate with all other titles, in particular with Sekiro. however, I'm using a toasty fx-6300 after frying an other processor, this might be the reason...
Most of the shadows are baked into the textures so the horror atmosphere is pretty intact
>dude consoles lmao
shit hits 120fps at max set with my shitty rx570
Looks better in low because it doesn't have the shitty bloom.
Let's not beat around the bush, Bulldozer is just shit for vidya.
is the 2080 in your computer or just lying in a puddle of urine? doom 2016 runs on 500fps ultra on literally anything
I'll give you that when climbing one particular ladder in DaS1 the framerate would dip for a second, I think it was somewhere around darkroot, near where the hydra is. Jap PC ports are weird like that
souls
nice file name
Stick to consoles and stop wasting your parents' money.
Avant-garde.
yeah
should really buy a new pc
more soul than standard skyrim tbqh
Reminds me to that Perfect dark PVP stage.
wow, looks awful
plays awful too
Denuvo never got removed from FF, only bypassed.
Me too. I love shitposting in general despite sucking at it myself.
>Its weird how Skyrim's settings have so little impact
Yeah, the game looks shit on all settings.
Bethesda honestly can't into art, they can't into graphics either.
With the right settings and console commands you can get some pretty neat The Witness-esque aesthetics.
I heard they weren't aware what the switch even was which could explain why Torna looks better in handheld
looks kinda like some comfy ps2 game
Learn basic math.
>clay monsters
Fucking amazing
Yet it still won't run on my toaster even with literally everything on low even though I can run more demanding games just fine
Lol Skyrim on low looks like Oblivion
1
There must be something very wrong with your PC
And still runs like butter in a Intel HD 2000 in DX7.
>bionic commando
Product of a time when a PC port being good was a rare exception
whiterun on lowest settings doesn't look that different from normal vanilla to me, but of course I'm used to seeing it modded with 4k textures and all that shit.
Either way, a better comparison would be an outdoors shot. The difference with lowest settings in bethesda games is most apparent when it comes to long distance and how the distance LOD looks N64-tier
they are. its the special edition if that makes a difference
looks like borderlands
2
Unironically this. Modern level design means clutter everything with pointless garbage and overwhelm player.
once you start to realize all this graphix eyecandy is actually garbage you start to realize how much of a nosedive the whole industry has gone
Crysis was great because it had an amazing physics engine - but did they continue that? hell no, it was too confusing for them. I hate curated destructible environments. We could have GTA with fully destructable buildings and environments by now but nope gotta keep rattling the cage on those console cinematic experiences with post/pre rendered garbage thats just all brute force GPU power
consoles happened. Games became more centered around a single level of processing power, with only minor things like shadow detail and antialiasing being in the graphics settings. Back in the day PC games used to account for a wider berth of PC specs, so you'd have devs including within the game a set of max-detail textures, a set of medium-detail textures, low-detail textures, etc. Stuff that they simply don't bother with anymore.
it looks pretty good and runs 60 most of the time on my PC. it just has the issue of being dark souls 3
I know that feel.
Also the color palette is so fucking bland it's actually hard as fuck to tell the difference between shit.
Same here, being able to run Talos at 45-50fps on release on a single core Athlon 64 4000+, 2GB RAM, 9800GT 512 MB while the game still looked nice was amazing.
you are like a baby
youtube.com
Stick figure mode was originally added to Everquest as an April Fool's joke but left in the game as a performance option for people who want to run 30 clients on one computer and form their own raid.
When I first played CS:GO I had this problem with the map design. My eyesight isn't the best in the world so cluttered maps make me sad.
i get drops in fucking dragon quest XI, makes no sense to me how a turn based rpg can make my laptop run so hot
Anyone has a screenshot of some recent game with LOD bias turned so everything is low poly as possible, but everything else is maxed out?
>1080p
>p
go back to your tv, you little faggot
Here's your (You)
Nostalging hard right now from that oblivion pic. My first computer I bought was in highschool in 2008, and it was a laptop with a lower-end dedicated graphics card. It was my first time really being able to play modern games whatsoever, even if they ran terribly. I remember playing the fuck out of games like Oblivion, Dead Space, and Bioshock on lowest settings and looking absolutely fucking terrible, but I didn't even care because at least I could play them, compared the family normalfag desktop from 2002 that couldn't run shit.
>that bloom
lmao at the status icons, I can't even tell what the right blue one is
I had to practice for a tournament on my laptop and this was the only way the game would run
I got fourth
Bonus points if you can guess what game it is
what the fuck you absolute retard
fighterz will never live up to budokai
This actually looks cool as fuck.
this + doing the sound setup 30 times to get it to work
i tried playing ass creed odyssey and it gave me a headache. too much information on the screen
>backspace throw held object
No you're fucking not. The direction of your shots is separate from the pixels on your screen. If you run it in a 1x1 resolution, with the only blue thing being players and your screen goes all blue that doesn't mean you're gonna hit shit. It just means that's the sample the renderer went with. If anything lower res makes you less accurate since it makes the edges less defined, again, what you see on the screen has jack shit to do with what an (almost) perfectly mathematical trace against the actual model is gonna return.
It's true, I play at 1x1 resolution and hit 100% of my shots
If you had said tenkaichi i would have agreed with you but budokai was braindead broken with the dragon rush mechanic basically allowing the good characters (The ones with a lot of ki bars that regen'd automatically which they had for some reason)
to just spam rock paper scissors games at you with little to no detriment
I play on 4x3 because I actually have skill
hes retarded in a cute way
Everything on high for comparison. Not the prettiest game anyway but it is made with unity.
>You're a stalker, marked one
got to have windows 98 Doom 3 represented in lowsetting threads
Let it go, you used one of the bad Yea Forums disapproved words, you can't stop the retards now. Just tell them to dilate or whatever and leave this board forever
>mfw the PC version stuttering and having that weird shaky 3D models bug is what kept me from playing more
I dont think they ever fixed that shit.
First time I played Oblivion I played it on the shittiest laptop ever.
It was 20FPS with a draw distance so low I could only see 10 feet in front of me.
And I played it for so long too.
>who actually had to do this
Now run it at 5fps and you have the super nintendo version.
>mfw have a shitty prebuilt that gets bottlenecked by the CPU
>Can't run DOOM at a stable 60, constant fps drops even on lowest settings
FUCK alienware
not him but i'm an elementary school teacher and they already started teaching kids C++ and Java from grade 3 here. Kids are coding well before they even know long division or where babies come from.
It's been a whopping 10 years of low quality graphics for me, i can't remember the last time i could run the current flavor of the month game at max settings.
I have this problem with newer Total War games vs playing Shogun 2.
Shogun 2's gfx are still fucking great but the campaign map isnt cluttered to all fuck.
>turn gfx settings up to High
>framerate improves
not related to pic but normally
>there is no performance difference between the lowest and the highest settings
Unreal Tournament (1999)
You could also run it in 16 colors too.
Figured that out getting it to run on the 486's in the school library.
Because 90% of the games are console ports.
Still better than Switch port.
>that guy who plays every game at the lowest settings to be 'competitive'
Didn't they get Doom 3 to run on a Voodoo or some shit?
