Can someone sexplain to me how king crimson's ability works?
IT
JUST
WORKS
All other explanations are flawed because King Crimson's own performance and abilities across part 5 are wildly inconsistent with its own rules. So it works because it does.
He cuts time frames, for example if King Crimson is approaching he can directly cut the time where is approaching you and standing right in front of you.
It can sees the future. It skips time. In this skipped time he can decide if he's affected by anything or interact with stuff. It has a limited spatial range where he can act. That's it.
And off course you don't realize it until you see him again.
It's like game lag. When you're playing and you lag hard, you appear in another area without having seen what went on in between that time. KC can lag your "Game" so to say, and make you appear 10 seconds in the future without having the knowledge of what exactly happened during that time. He can't interact with you during that erased time, (besides when he destroys Mista's gun?? lol) but he can see the future, so he can create the perfect counter-attack for when you both arrive.
King Crimson can see like 12 seconds into the future and then skip ahead to that moment, people can be conscious of the fact that time was skipped but they don't perceive the time lost. I think a good analogy would be nodding off in the middle of a conversation and perking up just a few seconds later, it's disorienting.
What's this supposed to be
Ridley
This is the only one that works because it covers bullshit moments like when he killed Narancia during time skip, and when he skipped time on aerosmith's bullets and they just phased through him and hit Risotto.
A space pirate discussing tubes
Let's not forget when he tore Trish's hand off.
Araki always had those moments - remember about Gold Experience's power to reflect attacks? Only shows up right in the beginning.
But then there's also the question of why he waited for timeskip to end before goring Polnareff instead of just gore him during timeskip like DIO, if he can interact with people during timeskip like kidnap Trish from Bruno and kill Narancia in Giorno's body during it.
We try to understand and justify stuff, but the truth is Araki is always changing shit on the fly and has no consistency in his writing, we forget it because it leads to cool shit but he's truly a hack writer.
an AK47
>it's ok when Araki does it
Wait why did Polnareff go back into the whole arrow business? Was it that interesting? After he said good bye to the Joestars at the airplane it looked like he was gonna retire.
That's why I said "It just works".
But how was Polnareff able to hit him by counting drops of blood.
I get that you have no recollection of the time during king crimson, but my past self should still be able to move like everything is still normal.
In short is there a difference in King Crimson just making forget your past 8 seconds and all the timey stuff?
>things transformed by gold experience reflect attacks
>gold experience can replace body parts
>gradually replace every body part of the gang members with gold experience until they are fully made of gold experience parts
>everyone is now invincible
>that's why i said it just works
Not in any post I replied to, but sure.
This
Green Day goes from a simple corrosive moss that destroys any living tissue that travels downward to suddenly allowing Cioccolata to control severed parts of his body with no explanation.
you can't hit Diavolo in the erased time, and whether or not he can interact with things during erased time depends on how Araki was feeling when he wrote that part
I'm not sure if I get what you're saying, but Polnareff was able to get a hit in because he literally stood there waiting for the skip to happen, then reacted to it as soon as he noticed via drops of blood by making a 360º swing with Silver Chariot. There was no "movement" on his part during the time that was skipped.
There's the matter of distance, and Polnareff's stand is one of the fastest. When the blood drops skipped, Polnareff just attacked wildly in an arc around him. It almost took Diavolo's head off because he started the time skip from too far away.
I think the whole reflective thing only worked on that tree?
Frog that Luca hit with his shovel.
Polnareff counted the blood drops because he can't know when KC used his time skip, so before the time skip there were 3 drops then Diavolo used KC and there were 7 drops, that's when he knew Diavolo skipped time and was near him. He knew diavolo was near him because whatever KC does during the time he skipped doesn't happen after the ts because it's erased from existence.
Switch Ringo and Kira, Mandom is instant 6 seconds skip backward while Bites the Dust is full time rewind
>He knew diavolo was near him because whatever KC does during the time he skipped doesn't happen after the ts because it's erased from existence
Only when Araki wants it to be like this, remember Narancia's death and Trish's kidnapping/hand removal.
He can see up to ten seconds into the future and if he doesn't like what he sees happening to him he can avoid it by erasing that future with KC. Whatever happens to people other than him is unchanged and he can use the time erasure to reposition himself for where he's going to end up on the other side of the time erasure.
Also, Who Shot Johnny Joestar? is more confusing than anything to with King Crimson, for the record.
Fucking araki, the Hand and KC are most inconsistent stands he wrote but I still don't know how Bites the Dust, B.I.G and heavy weather work
Edit him holding a glass of wine and wearing a tuxedo, retards.
His ability also only has a range of a few meters, so if you know he is somewhere near by simply nuke the whole area around you and the ability is useless.
That's not really contradictory because things that happen to people other than Diavolo are never effected by King Crimson. When he sees someone die in Epitaph they die, he's the only exception to that, so even if he is the one that tore off Trish's hand or killed Narancia and he erased the fact that he did that, it doesn't change the fact that Narancia ended up dead and Trish ended up away from Bruno. It's only his own fate that is effected.
I know what happens, but it's still more confusing than anything do with KC.
>Also, Who Shot Johnny Joestar? is more confusing than anything to with King Crimson, for the record.
I'm pretty sure D4C was going to work differently at first and that's why that scene makes no sense.
C'mon user, Bites the Dust and Notorious B.I.G are pretty simple, even if the latter is conceptually dumb, as in: did Carne know that his stand would activate with his death? If so, how did he know? Or did B.I.G work when he was alive too but got stronger due to his resolve? He did walk into Mista's range with no fucks given after all.
Is this the best stand cry in the entire franchise so far?
Bites the Dust is kind of a godly save state. Kira will implant Bites the Dust on someone who he thinks is important. When someone explodes by Bites the Dust, time returns to the save state, but whatever positive thing happened will still happen, even if Bites the Dust isn't nearby anymore (e.g. Rohan dying). It's a really cheap ability where he can kill people one by one, and they'll never know.
What is this cartoon every kid is watching and talking about?

Yes. I wish Speed King's was BUUUUUURN though, but SPEEEEEYAH is good too. JJL barely even has punch rushes anyway though so it doesn't really matter much, I don't think there's been one successful one in the whole thing so far.

IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE YOU CAN'T ERASE TIME! YOU CAN'T ERASE TIME! FINE! YOU CAN FREEZE TIME AND YOU CAN TURN BACK TIME, BUT YOU CAN'T ERASE TIME!! THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!! YOU ERASE TIME NOTHING HAPPENS IN IT!! I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW SOMEONE TELL ME! SOMEONE TELL ME HOW KING CRIMSON WORKS! I NEED TO KNOW! I NEED TO KNOW HOW KING CRIMSON WORKS, PLEASE!!! PLEASE, JUST TELL ME!! I NEED TO KNOW! SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT! ITS CONFUSING I DON'T KNOW, HOW DOES KING CRIMSON WORK?!?! HOW DOES IT WORK?! HOW DOES KING CRIMSON WORK PLEASE!! Thanks, I know understand what his plan was, (even tho you can tell time skip because Diavolo isn't in front of you anymore) At first I thought it was something weird like when Jotaro was able to move inside of Dio's World thanks to magnets.
I just can't wrap my mind around how that kind of prediction would even work, specially in the Trish situation: did Epitaph's prediction showing that Diavolo would slash her hand and kidnap her have him use KC ability in it? If it worked this way, that'd mean that Epitaph would've predicted him "changing his own fate" via KC before it even happened, and if that was the case here it should be the case every time, thus making his stand truly invincible (for instance, he'd be able to predict Polnareff's counter because the prediction would show that happening).
But if it didn't work that way, and instead showed Diavolo actually go into the elevator, cutting Trish's hand and kidnapping her without the use of timestop, how would that happen in the prediction without Bucciarati attacking him as soon as he'd enter the elevator? Both Trish's hand being cut and Bucciarati's attack should still happen after said time skip since, as you stated, it's only Diavolo's own fate that is affected.
>even tho you can tell time skip because Diavolo isn't in front of you anymore
You know, this makes sense. Polnareff already knew about Diavolo's ability and had him on his field of view, he didn't need the drops of blood to know the motherfucker skipped time.
Here's my version on how it works
He slows down time, so he can predicts what happens
The "erase time" is a meme, in reality, he erases the memory of the victim about their actions when KC is active, since the victim after doesn't fully remember what happened, (which leads to confusion)
;_;
I imagine the latter situation is the reality of it and you're just meant to believe that Diavolo was fast about it. Even if Buccelati did react he would still be in the situation you see in him assuming he didn't get hurt by Diavolo, which he wouldn't be considering he didn't want to hurt Bruno at that stage, because he would have no recollection of reacting to King Crimson taking Trish because he didn't experience it. I don't think it's that unreasonable to think it could be that given Stands often are fast and it is possible that Diavolo could have come in by surprise and got Trish out before Bruno could retaliate, and uses like that which are deliberately misleading like when Polnareff keeps going to the bottom of the stairs, which you would not assume is being done by time stop, but it's done that way anyway to mislead you.
It is also possible that that particular instance just doesn't make sense and is just a result of some inconsistency with the ability or a result of Bruno acting uncharacteristically incompetent for the sake of mystery. It's hard to say when you don't know for a fact what the intention behind it was though, but if you could see what happens in that time period, I wouldn't be too surprised if Araki rationalized it as KC getting in and out before Bruno attacked and then the time erasure ended with Diavolo and Trish out of sight, leaving Bruno confused because he had no recollection of what had just happened.
Why does King Crimson look so off model in literally every shot?
F
>he erases the memory
You're just wrong and the "erase time" isn't a meme given that it's said outright that that's what it is. They have no memory of it because you can't remember what you didn't experience.
Risotto was so fucking cool, I can't believe he was doing so well only to get mega jobbed.
I'd say he looks the best out of all the antagonist Stands in the anime, I would say that in the manga too, and I even prefer how he looks in the manga, but I think they did him justice in the anime. Much better than Killer Queen if nothing else.
Because there is no on-model
Heavy Weather makes you think youre turning into a snail, so all of your actions are manipulated by this thought. I know its stupid, but when Jolyne crawled into the pipe, she thought her snail body let her fit, but in reality her stand turned her into a string. However, she couldnt use her string power normally because she thought her string was turned into a snail. If you could watch the effects of Heavy Weather without being effected, it would just look like a bunch of people crawling around on the floor screaming about snails.
Why doesn't giorno make random shit in to leaves and interlace them in his clothes so he becomes literally invincible? Why doesn't Giorno turn a car or something in to a tiger or black widow spider and wreck everything?
From what i've seen when they arrived on boat, narancia remembered getting the chips, but giorno (iirc) doesn't remember giving them
You're watching a video, and then you press the skip button. You can only skip forward upwards of ten seconds and can selectively choose to pretend anything that happened during the skip didn't happen.
It's that easy.
>8 parts in
>STILL no Space Oddity stand for a main villain that's effectively The Hand given to someone who's actually competent at using it
It clearly says at first
>my ability is to allow multiple timelines to coexist at once
which is pretty confusing, but implies all 3 shot Johnny. Pretty much the same thing as Dragon Breaks from TES
Then it changes to just teleporting(self and others) to other timelines by going between things because it's easier to write and read
Post songs/albums/bands that would make great stand names that aren't yet

Araki has an habit of changing stuff on the fly throughout the series, so I'd go with the inconsistency scenario, but if we're trying to make sense of it then it probably doesn't get any better than the way you're explaining it.

「Poets of The Fall」
It's just a way for him to avoid his own fate. hye has 2 abilities: Epitaph and the time erase. Epitaph let's him see up to 10 seconds into the future, then during erase time everyone is on auto-pilot essentially, following their own pre-determined fate, except for King Crimson.
Brainlet here, does King Crimson skip time or allow him to see the future and then fast forward to it? Previously it seemed like The World where he can interact with things, but latest episode treated it more like foresight.
I'm still hoping for GODSPEED, YOU! BLACK EMPEROR
That's already there, it's Mikitaka's.
The Hand isn't inconsistent it's just not well-utilized, which is rationalized by Okuyasu being its user anyway.
Why does pink hair girls have stands with big tits?
Hot pants is an exception
>That's already there, it's Mikitaka's.
That was a joke user, Araki used it for Mikitaka, forgot about it and used it again for the prison guard in part 6, then changed the latter to Planet Waves when he realized it.
It's foresight where everything he sees will happen, but if he sees something happen to him that he doesn't like then he can avoid it. He's never been able to interact with others in the erased time, it's just that if he were fated to hurt someone then they would still be hurt after the time erasure, because it's only his own fate he changes.
That's actually not true, Araki fucked up in the fight between the Hand and RHCP. When the Hand sweeps the bike and later the ground, they should have closed together instead of separating which goes contradictory to previous descriptions of the Hand's powers.
The Last Baron
Aqua Dementia
Emperor of Sand
Epitaph is the little face on King Crimson's forehead which allows him to see 10 seconds into the future. From there, bossu can skip time forward with the option of negating anything that happens to himself during the skip. Otherwise, everything that happens during the skip happens, but is not percieved by anyone other than bossu. That's why the trick with blood drops works, because if there are suddenly more blood drops in an apparent instant, it means King Crimson has activated his ability.
「BLACKSTAR」
The stand of a Joestar who's slowly dying of an unknown illness with no known cure. It's ability is that it can effect objects so that they're uneffected by shit that should change them. Say, for instance, Blackstar slams a bad lad into a wall it made unchanging, it doesn't break the wall but makes the villain hurt like shit.
「BLACKSTAR LAZARUS」
The ultimate form of Blackstar. It's power is that it literally weaponizes the status quo. For like 7 seconds under it's control nothing matters besides what it does. Nobody can make any true decisions, nobody can die, nobody but the user.
Read up, the little face on KC is a sub stand called Epitaph that allows him to see the future up to 10 seconds, so he knows what actions his enemies will take, when he erases time, he forces everyone but himself to follow that future, and he decides to do whatever the fuck he wants during that interval, knowing that no one can bother him during that and then will "forget" everything that happened during those erased seconds.
Ah, that makes sense, nice. I should go rewatch the episode to try and make sense of it.
They do close together, otherwise there would be a vacuum in space. The closing together just isn't as apparent when he actually swipes something instead of just swiping thing air.
Stands being the result of an alien virus is the dumbest shit, removes all the supernatural weirdness. I'm glad part 7 dropped the arrow concept Jesus is actually a JoJo
Tell me lies tell me sweet little lies
>They do close together
But they don't. The ground should have closed together, yet it leaves massive gaps that cuts the electric cables in the ground and allowing RHCP to escape and nearly kill Okuyasu.
No but STICKY FINGAS is the best stand name cry
That's just in reference to those hit by the arrow. There are still Stand users who acquired theirs through entirely natural means like the SC crew, Rohan and Giorno.
He doesn't "erase" time. He erases people's perception of time. Additionally, while the ability is active, he cannot interact with or be affected by moving objects.
>Black Hole Sun
>He doesn't know
>not KUUREIJI DIAMONDO
Do you mean the ground should have been left untouched, as if he did nothing to it? If that were the case then The Hand wouldn't do anything unless it's swiping the air. I'd say the space above the swipe and below the swipe did close in when he used it on the ground and that would create the result that you see, with a pocket having been dug out of the ground and the soil with no grass on it left there.
It doesn't
The way it's explained, it simply doesn't make sense
>King Crimson deletes a period of time
>all that's left is "the result"
So if you're walking up stairs, and KC activates, you will immediately find yourself at the top of the stairs.
But if the time period in which you walked up the stairs is deleted, how did you get to the top?
Epitaph almost makes the main ability worthless--if Diavolo can see ten seconds into the future, why does he need King Crimson to avoid that outcome? He already knows what's going to happen. If Araki had just built KC around the Epitaph ability it'd be a lot easier to understand, easier to write, and wouldn't require Requiem asspulls to defeat.
KC is a broken Stand and his ability is so poorly-defined and conveyed that by the end of Part 5 Diavolo is, for all intents and purposes, just using The World.
He even says that time "resumes" when his ability runs out, despite his ability not actually stopping time.
I always found it really weird that there's only one stand named after Bowie considering how obviously inspired by him Araki is. A reference to a Berlin trilogy album would be really cool.
Also he's at least casually into IDM so something like a Autechre or Squarepusher reference would be cool
>twf no Hermit Purple or Paisley Park stand
It's not fair
Alien virus changed nothing at all about the concept of stands.
>Before part 5
>If arrow touches you, it magically forces the stand out of your body, if theres no stand, you die
>After part 5
>if alien virus inside the meteorite rock touches you, it magically forces the stand out of your body, if theres no stand, you die.
Rohan was hit by the arrow.
So... how did Narancia die?
>why does he need King Crimson to avoid that outcome?
Because that's his fate, he can't avoid whether he wants to or not. It doesn't make logical sense, but fate is obviously a real concept in JoJo and being aware of it doesn't change that. You would need a supernatural aid to overcome something like that and that's what KC is.
They should have made it actually related to God, like have Pucci actually see a glimpse of God, because he made the ultimate stand, only to have it taken away from him.
If you guys are still confused about King Crimson, you're going to be in for a mindfuck in the next week or two.
He's was fucking barbequed
Why did /ourgamer/ have to get shafted so badly and die?
Time isn't deleted it jumps forward. KC is the only one who is aware while in the period in which time jumps forward. It doesn't make sense because you interpreted it incorrectly.

But Joseph, Jotaro, and Giorno all got their stands through DIO getting hit with the arrow right
KC is specifically said to have the ability to "erase time"
When explaining the ability, Diavolo stresses the concept that when KC is used, all that remains is "the result"
Shitty ill-defined powers that Araki didn't know how to write effectively
literally only invented to demonstrate the difference of close and long range stands
>tfw he died afraid and alone, knowing his parents wouldn't even know where he was and not even knowing if Joseph could understand his message
it causes massive lag in his area
>But then there's also the question of why he waited for timeskip to end before goring Polnareff instead of just gore him during timeskip like DIO
Because we're supposed to believe he only reached Polnareff at the end of his ability's time limit.
He is a vert handsome man.
He can't avoid the future that Epitaph predicts, it is his fate.
He can only avoid the undesirable part with King Crimson.

remember to play 7th stand user, the best jojo game
It's not time erasure if Diavolo can move inside it. It just means that King Crimson's ability is to detach itself from the causality of the world for a brief time, altering fate, while everything else is doomed to follow their original intented path.
>KC is the only one who is aware while in the period in which time jumps forward
You explicitly see him interacting within that time.
see above
>before he dies he wanders how his parents are and how they'll face his death
>7th stand user has his character ending getting saved and going home to tell his parents he finally has friends
Fuck, that was a hard hit I didn't need.
>Because that's his fate, he can't avoid whether he wants to or not
>He can't avoid the future that Epitaph predicts, it is his fate.
The concept of inescapable fate in JoJo is not particularly well-established, especially at the time Part 5 was written.
Araki could have very easily made Epitaph work as I described, there was no concrete rule of the universe that it would be contradicting.
Can I play it on my phone?
Jesus's Hebrew name, Yeshua, is the equivalent of JOshua
I could swear at the beginning of Part 3 Stands were introduced as an evolution of Ripple energy
Fate isn't inescapable in JoJo, but it takes a high amount of prior knowledge and luck to escape. Like, the whole Bites the Dust arc was explicitly about this.
>KC is a poorly-written ability the parameters of which seem to change in every instance it is used
Yeah what else is new
Doesn't change the way it was explicitly stated to work

Bites the Dust wasn't really about fate, it was about a time loop

Electric six and most of the names of their songs
But then the rest of the world doesn't remember what happened in that time, or its erased from their memory as it were.
What it does changes to whatever araki wants i to be in that moment
Epitaph allows him foresight.
King Crimson activates, at which point everything's fate is in place, but KC can act independently of this, in keeping with Diavolo's whole concept. The conclusion, the fate, of everything will happen as it was going to unless he intervenes.
JOshua ben JOseph
Just because they don't say it in the plainest terms possible doesn't mean it's not evident. They talk about it in Bites the Dust and it's made clear that KC's predictions are completely accurate in the Metallica fight. He could have made it the way you say, but he didn't because it evidently was never the intention. It works under the ruleset of Epitaph's predictions being accurate outside of the use of KC, and whether you think it would have been more interesting otherwise or whatever else, that is how it works, so he can't just look at Epitaph and not do what he sees himself do in it, he has to use King Crimson.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO EXPLAIN KING CRIMSON
Let me point how inconsistent he is:
There was one basic rule that prohibited Diavolo from interacting with the real world during timeskip. This is to make him not a 2.0 Dio where he can just kill people while time is skipping. On the other hand, he has interacted with others several times. Narancia's death does not count, it happens offscreen and he could have skipped time just to erase his tracks, but there's the elevator scene where Trish instantly disappears with just one timeskip, you can't possibly justify that.
The other inconsistency, and this one bothers me greatly, is that he can apparently use timeskip to teleport himself while having others stand still. How does that work? People were supposed to still be able to act during timeskip. They made a big point about people teleporting themselves and getting surprised, like "oh I walked here and didn't notice". So how can he use this ability to get ahead of people while chasing the arrow? If he erases time, people should still be able to run and "teleport" to where they would otherwise be if time wasn't erased.
YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY EXPLAIN THESE INCONSISTENCIES, DON'T EVEN TRY
This is why Kira is the best villain
Imagine you shat your pants, but you don't remember doing it. They were just suddenly shat.
Go re-read or re-watch it. The time loop was just a framing device, but the point was a seemingly inescapable fate.
Rpg maker can run the game but it has several bugs like not showing cutscenes when they're supposed to and a major, game-breaking glitch in the J. Geil fight where the polnareff scene enters a loop, to go around that you need to transfer your save to your pc, beat mirror man and transfer the save back to your phone, you can finish the game after that.
Shit, meant EasyRPG emulator.
In Jojo, fate is inescapable except for if you have a stand. That is the main function of the arrow. The only people who can modify their fate are people with stands, or in other words, people with strong wills (which is what the theme of the first two parts was). All stand users can overcome fate, its just that the stronger a stand is the more control they have over fate, that's why all the strongest stands have time abilities.
>a seemingly inescapable fate.
... because it was a time loop, a concept wholly independent of the "fate" of a long-term, linear timeline.
He see's 10 seconds into the future including what he himself would do during that time
now if he erases time he still does what ever he predicted himself doing its still acted out but he also gets to do something else, he cant interact with others while doing something else so this is mainly to reposition himself, so he broke mistas gun because thats what he predicted himself doing before he erased time.
same with cutting of trish's hand
although any damage that was predicted to happen to diavolo doesnt happen when he erases it, since its not really him doing that action but rarther fate doing it
if that makes it make more sense
「March of the Black Queen」
Every single part so far was about fate.
I have no idea how some of you manage to not pay any semblance of attention to the media you consume.
I like your idea user. The ultimate form stuff gives me a No Plan vibe.
youtu.be
Time to listen to the Blackstar album for the 70th time
All of that can be explained by Diavolo having freedom during the time erasure as well as him only avoiding what he sees for himself in the erased time. Not once do the results that he sees in Epitaph change through the use of King Crimson, so if he saw himself killing Narancia in that prediction for example, there's nothing to suggest that Narancia's fate, which was to die, would be changed by the use of King Crimson.
Kira is better though, but that has nothing to do with King Crimson. And the best villain is actually Joubin.
>There was one basic rule that prohibited Diavolo from interacting with the real world during timeskip.
This is never confirmed by either narration or Diavolo.
>The other inconsistency, and this one bothers me greatly, is that he can apparently use timeskip to teleport himself while having others stand still.
The situations in which this happens are when those people are either unaware or on guard. Because they weren't planning on taking any actions before time is skipped they don't do anything during the skipped time. In cases where they are going to do something, like punching through a pillar or shooting, they do it in the skipped time.
No nigga the fate part had nothing to do with the time loop. Like the tea always spilling in the morning no matter what or Kira putting the hat on Hayato's head no matter what are things you can't simply explain by time looping.
>In Jojo, fate is inescapable except for if you have a stand.
Hayato says hello.
The only Part I can see being about "fate" is Part 3, specifically the "fate" that binds the Joestar bloodline to DIO
Which finds its origins in Part 1, so there's no "fate" being fulfilled there
Part 2 has very much nothing to do with that
Part 4, outside of your interpretation of Bites the Dust, is not about fate or really ANY high-concept material like that
Part 6 goes back to DIO through Pucci, so, I guess it's tied to the "fate" of the Joestar bloodline
But none of these are really about "fated events which cannot be avoided" but rather about the connection between specific people that keeps them in conflict
>This is never confirmed by either narration or Diavolo.
He makes a point about existing outside the world during timeskips and even being invisible to everyone. Bruno attacks the Diavolo in front of him, but the real Diavolo was behind him. I suppose when he timeskips the "fate Diavolo" will carry his acts like he normally would, whereas the "real Diavolo" can position himself around but can't interact with the real world. Meaning if the "fate Diavolo" was decided on kidnapping Trish in the elevator, he would do so, and then Bruno would forget what happened once the timeskip ended. It's the only way to explain it. But that does not explain the second inconsistency.
>The situations in which this happens are when those people are either unaware or on guard.
Doesn't matter, fate Diavolo would start running and others would try to keep up. The way it happens in the anime is they are completely frozen in place, it's bullshit, there's no way no one moved a single muscle for 10 seconds straight
I miss these gifs
If your homosexual
See I love Kira, he is my favorite villain in Jojo, but holy shit I can't bear how dumb he was. He is probably the dumbest Jojo villain, maybe second only to Dio.
His two greatest mistakes:
>used bites the dust defensively only, when he could easily have used it offensively by hiring a grunt to pronounce his name to other people who fuck with him
>has a pseudo thanos snap in which all he needs to do is press his thumb to go back in time, still manages to fucking lose because he waits until the last possible second to use it
How far along is part 8? I've been waiting years for it to finish so I can start reading it
I mean, you're saying that, and I'm saying that he
>Time isn't deleted it jumps forward. KC is the only one who is aware while in the period in which time jumps forward.
and that's how it always worked.
I repeat again that
> It doesn't make sense because you interpreted it incorrectly.
Consider for a moment that an infinite number of retards could interpret KC in an infinite number of ways. You could easily be a retard interpreting it incorrectly and your problem with KC is a problem of your own design.
How do you know it wasn't fated to turn out that way?
>Which finds its origins in Part 1, so there's no "fate" being fulfilled there
Zeppeli's fate to die.
>Part 2 has very much nothing to do with that
Depending on how you interpret the red stone asspull, that was Jonathan escaping the fate of being killed by Kars
>Part 4, outside of your interpretation of Bites the Dust, is not about fate or really ANY high-concept material like that
The overarching concept of part 4 was the city of Morioh itself being an almost sentient location
>Part 6 goes back to DIO through Pucci, so, I guess it's tied to the "fate" of the Joestar bloodline
Also Pucci's whole plan was to reset the universe so that he and Dio controlled the fate of everything in it.
>You could easily be a retard interpreting it incorrectly and your problem with KC is a problem of your own design.
I would say the decade plus of threads and posts talking about King Crimson is compelling evidence to the contrary
>Doesn't matter, fate Diavolo would start running and others would try to keep up.
Give an example of this happening. He skipped from being still to r
That was Bites the Dust not Hayato. Bites the Dust changed fate by carrying over Hayato's memory.
>singular instances that may or may not be interpreted as the workings of "fate" means the Parts and series as a whole is "ABOUT" fate
That's not exactly... how that works
>The overarching concept of part 4 was the city of Morioh itself being an almost sentient location
What in the fuck no it's not
Because if you can brute force fate it's not exactly set in stone.
Bruno vs Diavolo
Bruno fights against the fate Diavolo and wins. But once the timeskip ends the real Diavolo appears behind Bruno.
In his fight he fully interacted and reacted to fate Diavolo's actions. If fate Diavolo dodged to the right, Bruno would attack the right, and so on.
That's also how others are walking normally, and then suddenly they think they teleported. What the timeskip effectively does to people, other than letting Diavolo remain unscratched, is that they simply forget what they did in the last 10 seconds, but that does not mean they were frozen as if Dio used The World
That's a lot of mental gymnastics to protect your headcanon. If you said that only a stand user can change fate and a non-stand user changed faith, you should just accept you were wrong.
>Final boss looks fucking ridiculous
It seems to be approaching its end, but that could still be a good chunk of it if SBR was any indication. I'd say the point it's at now would be the equivalent of Chocolate Disco in SBR though, considering that fight was originally titled The Grounds of the Final Battle, and the point JJL is at feels similar in that it seems to be setting up a finale.
Also to add to this
Before you say "maybe fate Diavolo just stood still, meanwhile real Diavolo started running"
Impossible, the only way Diavolo could move is if he interacted with Trish's stand
And only fate Diavolo can interact with the world during timeskips
Araki fucked up
How long has religion existed for? How about anti vaccers? Flat earthers? It's not like retards aren't allowed to use the internet. Just look at how many times
>OHNONONO
threads have been posted and tell me that retards cannot post something retarded over long periods of time with little to no resistance.
The perfect Jojo game would be a game like MGS where other stand users are puzzles you have to solve in fights with them, just like how the bosses are puzzles in MGS.
Prove me wrong.
And no something like 7th stand user is not an option anymore because no modern game would be made like that in this day and age of 3D models and such
>Bruno fights against the fate Diavolo and wins. But once the timeskip ends the real Diavolo appears behind Bruno.
Diavolo granted Bruno the power of epitath to make it seem like he did that, but nothing actually happened. He literally says this. All Bruno saw was the future from his perspective but it never happened. This as far as I know is the only time that someone who isn't King Crimson's user sees what happens during the skipped time.
>the last JoJo Friday is going to leave with a one hour special
Why does part 8 have people stretch out their words so much
Not really a lot of mental gymnastics dumb nigger. Hayato changed fate because a stand changed his state and bent fate.
>But once the timeskip ends the real Diavolo appears behind Bruno.
He could easily do that by just standing behind where Bruno would be at the end of the time erasure. It's not like he doesn't know where that is.
How did they fuck up his design so much lol
It's my understanding that it has always been that way but the people translating JJL are the only ones who keep it in instead of taking it out.
That's not the point
7th stand user didn't even handle that aspect well. It just gave you a "pick the canon ending" option.
The Stand didn't change shit, dude. Literally all the stand did was blow people up and then reset time. Hayato's actions are what forced the stand out of his body to stop the time loop and change fate.
It's literally explained in the first encounter that the Hand scrapes away reality and the gap is sealed by the two sides coming together. This is why the sign outside his Okuyasu's old house was fucked up and missing words yet was otherwise a complete sign after it was scraped by the Hand's palm, it stitches the remnants back together. This is how the Hand is able to scrape the air away and send objects flying, the force of the surrounding aim slamming together sucks objects in the direction he desires.
>This is never confirmed by either narration or Diavolo.
over and over he's in a position to kill someone during erased time but waits until time returns, it's clearly how he's supposed to work
>Well what about RELIGION???
OK retard, calm down
whomst among those three is the most autistic?
i say jobber
What? So Hayato just retained his memory between loops via magic and it had nothing to do with the stand? I thought I was the one performing mental gymnastics buddy.
How isn't it?
>lookup guides for 20 year old game
>none of them can adequately explain how the final boss's i-frames work
That's one rapey stand
The point is that people can still act and think during erased time. Once the erasure is done, they simply lose their memories. So it makes no sense for Diavolo to use it as some sort of pseudo The World when chasing the arrow, where he can run while others remain in place. They would simply chase him and then forget they began running in the first place.
I don't know but I'm glad they did. These frames and the one in the OP are hilarious.
Joshua bar Joseph
Why does the animation for Part 5 look so lackluster
Parts 1-4 are all gorgeous, but 5 feels almost like a different, less-skilled studio made it
I know, but in that instance I would say the two sides are the air above the swipe and the soil beneath it, which would create the result that you see there.
「Beach Life-in-Death」
QUICK DOES ANYONE HAVE THAT IMGUR OR WHATEVER THAT WAS AN ENTIRE FULL DIO'S WORLD EDITED PANEL BY PANEL THAT Yea Forums OR Yea Forums DID? IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING AND I WISH I HAD SAVED IT
Shinobu Kawajiri looked terrible before the blu ray version of DiU.
There's no question that it's him, he's significantly more autistic than the other two. Joushuu's second though. Gappy might have been the most autistic if he kept measuring things and sleeping under the mattress and shit like that, but he's been more serious outside of the earlier parts of the story.
>So it makes no sense for Diavolo to use it as some sort of pseudo The World when chasing the arrow, where he can run while others remain in place. They would simply chase him and then forget they began running in the first place.
It's because before the time skip they are wondering what he's going to do, and then he skips time and starts running. They didn't know he was going to chase the arrow. They don't REACT in the skipped time, they do whatever it is they were going to do BEFORE time is skipped.
best stand cry is Vanilla Ice's or Purple high-way footstep sounds
Only in a couple QUALITY scenes
that's kinda hot
how can you say that when killer queen exists
This is not true, there is no instance of this happening. They just forget what happened during erased time. For example, how can they even walk if they are not reacting? They'd just trip and fall or run into a wall, it's retarded to even consider this, it's like a triangle of 4 sides.
If Diavolo started running, they'd see him doing that and chase him, then forget what happened. The way he is doing now makes it a The World with more tools, which is very disappointing. He could just one-shot everyone there if he wanted.
4's anime looked pretty bad a lot of the time. 5 looks way, way better.
Every frame of King Crimson is a fucking treasure.
Just like the manga
>Why does the animation for Part 5 look so lackluster
>Parts 1-4 are all gorgeous,
Either you have shoddy memory or you watched the episodes that were Bluray touch ups. Every season of Jojo has been riddled with QUALITY animation.
>This is not true, there is no instance of this happening.
The chocolates and the bullets.
Imagine that you have long flowing hair. The type that makes dudes ask to smash before you turn around. Now imagine that hair flows in front of your face and you see a vision of someone punching you in the face. Then, your big angry tulpa conjures a time window in which everybody but you is absolutely locked in whatever decision they're about to make. During this time window, you can walk away from the arch of the punch and get behind whoever is attacking you. The time window ends. Your attacker is confused because they can't remember what happen in the period in which their decision was locked. From their perspective, time skipped from them motioning to punch to losing sight of you with their fist not hitting anything. They are now fucking dead because your angry tulpa just punched them into a donut.
?
Its like some 4Kids villian.
>no argument
If what I said was wrong, feel free to own me by explaining why.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT THANK YOU
I still believe that Araki created D4C's power for the Philadelphia arc to be "merges universes together", then realized it would be confusing as fuck not only to write, but also to read, and dialled it back
if you really want to headcanon it, then you could assume that the universe merging is a side ability of D4C (like sheer heart attack is for killer queen) that Valentine very rarely used
He sure looks like the animators had fun drawing him
Part 5 has significantly more of it and the general art style of the Part is worse than the others.
There only seem to be a handful of scenes in Part 5 that were given much attention, and the difference in animation is so drastic that it winds up sticking out and looking even weirder.
DavidPro had a field day with him
What the fuck are you talking about, Part 5 has way less QUALITY than 3 and 4
Are we anywhere close to part 8 ending yet
I got tired of waiting month to month
Because the show overall has less-detailed art to cut back from
Even the openings for Part 5 are really lackluster. You'd think they'd put their all into the OP but it's basically on par with the normal episode animation
>There only seem to be a handful of scenes in Part 5 that were given much attention
In terms of polish part 5 is miles ahead of part 3 and 4 are you blind?
part 4 was fucking terrible
what the fuck are you talking about
It's just a JoJoism, a lot of characters speak really eccentrically. Mista does the same thing at the end of the torture dance
Anyone shitting on this cannot appreciate art, it is impossible for them.
It's approaching an ending, but the last few arcs could still be very long. I do think it's in its last few arcs though.
WANNABEEEEE
>this debate about the best stand
just listen to giorno's cry at 0:30
youtube.com
Well, I'd appreciate it more if Giorno had an actual character. I'm new to Part 5 but it feels like Bucciarati is carrying the whole thing despite simply being a stoic leader.
>「Virus Alert」
-Queen of the Night
-Rose-colored Boy
-Truth Hurts
Not even going to be on a Friday. It's Sunday.
>Number 5 is, regardless of Mista's naming autism, still the fourth round out of six shots
>Proceeds to be his luckiest fragment of the stand whole, saving his life and helping Giorno in a critical situation
I know it's intentional, but still you'd think Mista would catch on. But then again he's probably so delusional he probably thinks Number 5 is lucky purely because he's not called Number 4.
look up Blood Sun Vendetta
>t. animefag
Ever played Dark Souls PvP when suddenly your opponent lag teleports behind you and backstabs you? It's like that
If he ever had the mind to realize it, then his stand would probably evolve into something far more powerful. Instead of being fragmented like it is, the pistols would probably come together and just simply be able to control his bullets like Emperor does.
user, friend, pal, buddy.
Part 4 is my favorite part and the only one I've read more than two times but the anime looked like absolute garbage after the first arc.
>greatful dead
>purple haze
>made in heaven
based
Is there a sub of part 5 that has the real names yet? My autism can't handle the shitty translation names.
I thought the anime explained it well. Before that, we assumed he was literally erasing12 seconds of time which would would have weird ramifications. but in actuality, he's making it so no one perceives 12 seconds of time.
I still don't understand how he killed Narancia.
>They called Sticky Fingers "Zipper Man"
>Not even something half and half like "Sticky Zipper" which would have been way better
Then again, that's nothing compared to Tiny Feet. That's right, they changed Little Feets name because they feared getting a lawsuit from Little Feat. Despite the fact that these two names mean entirely different things regardless of how it's said.
What you don't like Notorious CHASE?
>a fan-made JoJo's Bizarre Adventure motion-comic
>Jose Hijo (the main protagonist) is a "JoJo", but not of the Joestar family line.
I haven't read part 6 yet, all I can tell you is that Purple Haze fucking sucks.
Purple Haze would have been a great enemy stand if Fugo turned as originally intended.
Me, i shot johnny joestar that crippled fuck was getting on my nerves
What version of part 4 does crunchyroll have
>single word Stands like Oasis still get their name changed
Like nigga it's just the word oasis
Is it just one guy making off-topic JoJo threads every single week when a new episode gets released or is JoJo just that popular on Yea Forums?
Gold Experience completely neutralizes it though.
The TV version
I fucking love you, King Crimson. You have single handedly made this season of JoJo constantly fun, watching you murder all those nasty traitors using unfair powers.
Quality
Jojo is that popular on Yea Forums
It's been a Yea Forums thing for a long time, even before the anime started. Which is why it ticks me off whenever someone calls Jojo a reddit anime
Yes, there is.
Purple Haze is cool, fuck you.
that's a comic book
Yes.
Would it be fair to dumb the explanation down to saying he just erases everyone's short term memory?
No.
Not entirely, because he can still alter his own fate by deleting/skipping time.
No, because its more substantial than that
>Only King Crimson can move freely in game lag
This is true
Like, I can't even think of another manga author who constant forgets shit that should be pretty major. Like, how the fuck do you forget 2/3rds of your main character's kit?
King Crimson is unironically a 999 ping russian in stand form
not possible i'm afraid
>kit
I just think Yea Forums posters should kill themselves instead of voicing their retarded opinions desu
Why does Spice Girl have math symbols
Jesus fucking christ that screencap is amazing
He doesn't forget anything, you've just let memes rot your brain. He forgets minor details sometimes, but he's not retarded, he obviously didn't forget shit like GE's reflection, he just changed his mind after putting it into practice and decided it wouldn't make for an interesting ability. It shows poor planning which is still an issue in a lot of his writing, but you're even more retarded than you think Araki is if you genuinely believe he actually forgets this stuff.
It's like engrish
>Born this way
how to ruin a stand, arhacki
The Prodigy
Somehow I was able to understand how King Crimson works but to this day I struggle to understand HOW THE FUCK GOLDEN EXPERIENCE WORKS
Creamstarter, man, I dunno enough to know if thats off the album but Prodigy has been at least referenced
when KC skips time does the entire world feel it?
why isn't Jotaro freaking the fuck out over time skipping all the time
I can't tell if Paisley Park is actually an inconsistent Stand or if it's just used so sparingly that I keep forgetting what it's supposed to do
But it kinda feels like it can just do whatever Yasuho needs it to do
It's like an organ transplant but when MC dies everyone who aided him also loses the body part.
And Gold Experience fucking drops two of his powers right after using them
I've always wondered this.
No, outside of a certain range you don't even perceive it anything skipping . The world and Made in Heaven however are confirmed universal.
You ever just dose off?
"dude life energy lmao" the stand.
Its pretty much Hermit Purple on crack in that it can manipulate electronics to gain information using psychic ability, it only seems inconsistent because it literally started bound to Yasuho's cellphone and by sharing numbers Gappy's but developed from there and now she's using it to copy the effects of an xray machine
How did he ruin it?
>Creamstarter
The name of the song was Firestarter, I thought that was something different
The angry little nigga on his forehead always cracks me up.
by changing the reference, original name was this
youtube.com
and even after the name change still drew Kyo with all her GU jewelry
Do they have to be rock albums/songs at this point?
Telenovela would make a rad stand name
it doesn't seem to have a confirmed reference actually, I checked the wiki after making that post and there's no citation
Id like to believe whatever wiki editor is right though
It never had to be rock, Araki references all genres
>to suddenly allowing Cioccolata to control severed parts of his body with no explanation.
That was explained, he's a sadistic surgeon who knew exactly what points to sever himself without dying
It's easy. First we have to understand Epitaph. Epitaph lets Diavolo see the fate of everyone in 10 seconds, this fate ALWAYS happens, this is where King Crimson comes, King Crimson's ability is to avoid Diavolo's fate, not erasing time etc or anything like that. An example, if Diavolo saw through Epitaph himself punching Giorno and before punching him he activates his stand, Giorno would still recieve the consequences of that punch even if Diavolo isn't interacting with Giorno when time is erased, this explains why bullets went through King Crimson at Risotto's fight, because he erased his fate of being shot by Narancia. So to clarify, everything still happens even if it required Diavolo to do it but Diavolo can just not do it and do something else.
「What What (In the Butt)」
Pretty sure he meant how he is able to control his body parts independently of each other, I always chalked it up to using his stand to somehow manipulate the limbs which is why Green Day doesn't do too much fighting at points despite being able to
Is it confirmed that pucci is the most op stand user in the original universe?
>「Lazarus」
>「Blackstar」
That's still whoever has Requiem, so Giorno
Giorno with GER would've ended Part 6 in like three panels
That's why he went to Disney instead of being summoned with the rest of DIO's sons
>That's why he went to Disney
MAXIMUM LUL MEME LOL
Hail Mary Mallon
The last good streaming site I knew of fucking died right at the halfway point of this anime, how do I figure out which version I want on nyaa?
Do you think Giorno is more of a Universal kind of guy?
Maybe he went to both
Doesn't matter, fansubs are fucking dead and just steal Crunchyroll subs.
>Flaccid Pancake
Animefag here. Is there an explanation for how Bruno wasn't instantly killed via being sliced in fucking half? Did he zip the wound shut off-screen or something?
>Mista awakens his potential
he can erase time and has a subability that lets him see the same amount of time in the future so he can basically avoid anything
born this way makes more sense
I actually think he was just in Italy not giving a fuck because the point was that the rest of the DIO spawns were hopeless losers lost in life so fate brought them together to be killed off as pawns in the plan of DIO's true successor, Pucci
its ironic
>still somehow gets shot with his own bullets more than the enemy
So anything that says eng sub will be fine?
>OST is generic rpg maker midi
>want to replace at least the character themes with Heritage for the Future midis
>only find joseph, jotaro and kakyoin ones
Fuck, and there's neither anime nor HFTF theme for DIO available in MIDI form.
that is a retarded looking album cover and a worse song, it doesn't have to "make sense" and I even question how much thought Araki even puts into the artbooks textually, maybe he just forgot about calling it Going Underground
Yup.
It brings shit to life and is also part of life but somehow can’t bring people back to life except when it can but not quite and also fuck you
>a stand is completely ruined forever because I don't like the song it's referencing
you sound like a massive faggot
>Mr. President Requiem
Why did Part V not have the same impact as IV?
I remember no one would shut the fuck up about Diamond is Unbreakable when it was airing, I've barely heard anything about Vento Aureo
>this entire final fight
It's crazy and stylish but it's also the worst written that Jojo has ever been. At least Part 6 was consistently stupid
>the bullets got soft and stuck to your hand
>but they're still bullets so touching the ground made the shot go off? or they just bounced the arrow away, which is still a stretch
>SCR "cuts" away souls, I get it. Clever
>but it also mutates people because of the cut souls? And Diavolo can beat it by punching behind his head because that's the true SCR casting a shadow?
Giorno replaced his missing body parts
So if all those mobster guys went after Diavlo at the same time could he even win?
So everytime KC is used Italy's timezone gets more and more fucked up? There has to be some illogical disconnect from the rest of the world.
Coco Jumbo becomes building sized and the room becomes an entire hotel
SCR switches souls with beings from different universes, that's explained in the manga more than in the anime.
what possible time abilities are there left to implement? DDDDC was alternate timelines.
I'm pretty sure Araki did say that Giorno went to Florida, but he didn't meet with Pucci and the others for undisclosed reasons
King Crimson style each episode is a fucking gift
And fuck Giorno
I just imagined an extra chair but okay.
Because Part 5 sucks
Wait, how does making stuff soft make them stick? And didn’t KC just flat-out deflect the bullets?
Also, I really don’t like how KC is able to be that fast. I always imagined it being just kinda slow, but strong in order to compensate for just how OP the timeskip is.
Requiem stands gain an ability based off of what the user wants most at the given time.
>the subtleties of my work
Araki, your entire output is silly people using magical superpowers to kill each other and/or take over the world. There’s nothing subtle about it.
come and leave your body and soul at the door~
David Pro made a good choice in dropping that, since it was just one more uncomprehensible detail making the insanity going on even harder to follow.
I honestly with they would've dropped the whole metamorphosis thing altogether
It's because part 4 being made after the finale of part 3 was not a given, while part 5 being made after part 4 was expected
「Fall out Boy」
「Backstreet Boy」
No he's absolutely erasing it, just look at how he cut out the moment that Aerosmith's bullets would have hit him so that they'd hit Risotto instead.
Because Polnareff always wanted a stand that puts everyone to sleep and switches other people’s souls, but then goes away after just swiping the arrow away, until he stabs himself again and then it switches his soul too?
my soul is literally tethered to the summer of 2009 when I moved and read jojo and got introduced to dozens of great bands. I am literally chasing that state of emotion ever since.
>Ligma stand
I forgot to mention it does it in an unconventional way. Polnareff wanted to keep the arrow from Diavolo and SCR kept the arrow from Diavolo.
I came out with the ability to bring a physical/psychological state from the future to the present. Like, for example, if someone is angry you can take a moment from the future where he is happy, with emotional states these moments interchange, but with physical states it's like you suddenly jump in time in the present. This could be used to turn people old or straight up kill them, making the floor advance for so long until it's lava, etc. Thinking about adding the past as well but maybe that's too OP.
NO HES NOT SHUT UP HE’S JUST SKIPPING THE HALF SECOND OF TIME WHERE IT WOULDVE HIT HIM FUCK YOU KING CRIMSON TOTALLY MAKES SENSE IN THE WAY I WANT IT TO
Polnareff at that moment wanted to keep away the arrow from Diavolo by any means necessary, it just that the requiem arrow grants your wish but on steroids, like a reverse monkey paw
hes saying arrivaderci are you mental?
Don't worry, retard, Kyo is going to be brought back to job without ever actually saying her stand name so I'm not actually that worried about it
kill yourself for playing devil's advocate for such a shit tier art book change though, faggot
cool fanfiction, niggers
I don't remember if she made anything sticky before this, it would have probably helped
I guess Araki figured chewing gum is soft and SG makes things soft so then she also makes things chewing gum
It's a fine addition but it would have helped if it was mentioned before, maybe if SG had gotten an additional fight outside of Biggie. Or any development outside that one fight and the finale
>Spice Girls has the potential to go full Luffy, stretching her limbs back and snapping them at enemies
>if sticking gets added to her making things soft/stretchy and bouncy then she could go full spider-man
based retard
That doesn’t explain the soul-swapping part, or the Stand strengthing, or the body horror. At all
That's not true. Polnareff didn't even know what the arrow did when Silver Chariot was pricked with it the first time so why would his desire be to hide it?
The future is overpowered too
>swapping the space around someone with the space that will be there three billion years in the future
>they suffocate and explode in the void of space
it's literally what the turtle said
nice bait user
I know right, it feels like I'm going to be waiting until I'm 89 years old!
Will Kyo ever have an actual purpose in the story
Feels like way too many plot threads took a heavy backseat to this endless search for fruit
Nigger the tutle literally said it gives you the power over people's souls.
He wants a stand that can let him get a new body, which is why Requiem got that ability. He wanted a body and a stand that could stop Diavolo.
He got one that could do just that a number of different ways (giving him a new body, evolving himself to regrow his limbs), but he couldn't control it. Hence why it goes insane.
Requiem's ability to turn stands against their users most likely comes from Polnareff's wish to protect the arrow.
The rest of the stuff are just results from the uncontrolled mutation into a mega stand
>All conversation about Vento Aureo eventually gravitates towards wanting it to be better than it is and/or giving characters that aren’t Giorno more fights and screentime
We need to have a name for this phenomenon. Got any ideas?
even more based projector
the turtle was talking about the stand's behavior, the turtle says the ability is to dominate the souls of living things
you're just perpetuating a decade old meme proven wrong by better translations
The stand is supposed to be this bulky slow low range guy, so that kinda balances it out, he has to touch you or the place he wants to take to the present for it to work.
No, I doubt he would be able to handle that much bullshit
>denial of facts
dilate
The "Giorno is fucking boring" effect.
stupidity
Except it didn’t switch his body when he discovered it.
the latter
Gohan goes to school syndrome.
They think it's what they want, but it fucking isn't what anyone wants.
Maybe once things come to a head, which is why I think she'll just be a casualty in some kind of fallout between the characters
there's a clear tension growing, and Ojirou is about to out Jobin to literally everyone in the city
>maybe he just forgot about calling it Going Underground
How dumb do you have to be to actually believe that's a possibility? Do you seriously think he would not only forget the Stand of a character who he dedicated to multiple chapters to over the course of multiple months, but then in that scenario rather than just checking what it was, he just changed the name entirely? There could be any number of reasons why he changed the name, but it is assuredly not because he forgot. If he was so braindead that he would actually forget all this shit people accuse him of forgetting then he wouldn't be capable of even making the manga in the first place because he'd be an 89 IQ retard.
>He wants a stand that can let him get a new body
headcanon fanfiction, why is Requiem evolving people into demons and why does it reflect from soul light and why does it control other people's stand and evolve their strength?
The only explanation for those is that Araki tried to make a high stakes memorable finale while avoiding a direct fight with KC, since even he didn't know how it works.
If you read the manga, it's clear he changed his mind what it all should be about pretty much every week
The fruit is the the object of most major character's motivations, so it shouldn't be that surprising.
I thought the mutation was caused by King Crimson being strengthened and turning everything else into King Crimson?
autism hivemind
cool tantrum, faggot, sorry I don't like Lady Gaga
>He wants a stand that can let him get a new body
Why? He didn't neeed a new body. Your stand's strength isn't based on your physical condition.
>King Crimson being strengthened and turning everything else into King Crimson?
what the fuck youtube videos are you watching?
It doesn't matter, Requiem doesn't fulfill desires, that's a literal meme
Hold up, King Crimson being strengthened would explain how he was able to kill Narancia.
No it's Requiem doing it. It would make even less sense if King Crimson did it.
this is true
Doesn't Polnareff say that it does that verbatim though? That's why it holds onto the arrow obsessively
They're all the same shit but VentoGuisto has the right names so get that.
No, he was talking about why Requiem is behaving like that. It has zero relation to Requiem's ability to
>pic related
then the fuck happened to bites the dust
That's how it behaves, not the power it has.
No shit, Doylist. Same thing with the “light of the soul” crap, where KC can somehow defeat SCR in a single hit by attacking a magical weak spot, even though for everyone else it’s literally impossible to touch him or the arrow without their stands trying to kill them. He’s just made flat-out immune to any difficulty because he’s the villain and they’re not supposed to have difficulty. Also pay no attention to how Kira was flat-out weaker than most of the Duwang Gang yet still managed to make himself into an incredible threat thanks to using his wits and god-given luck, and how that made all the fights with him into some of the best parts of the series.
Bites the Dust isn't a Requiem stand
it got hit with the arrow and got a new completely unrelated stand ability how is that not a requiem stand
「White Trash With Money」
NO SEE YES IT IS BECAUSE HE GOT STABBED WITH THE ARROW EVEN THOUGH HE ALREADY HAD A STAND
AND SHUT UP ABOUT HOW REQUIEM STANDS ARE BY STABBING THE STAND NOT THE USER AND HOW IT’S ALSO ONLY THE BEETLE ARROW THAT CAN GIVE REQUIEM STANDS
>「Primo Victoria」
>「Brotherhood Of Man」
>「Louder Than Hell」
>「4th Crusade」
>「Dance Of Death」
>「M-16」
>「Money For Nothing」
because it pierced the user and is the wrong type of arrow, its one of the five incomplete arrows with hollow centers. The arrow used to get Requiem has the beetle in it and needs to pierce the stand
did you read the wiki
Killer Queen didn't get hit with the arrow, Kira did.
Also, Requiem stands look a lot different from the regular version, and Killer Queen didn't look different at all.
On top of that, Bites the Dust still causes people to blow up
Different arrow, different application.
Requiem = Stand itself is pierced with the beetle arrow
Bites the Dust = Stand user is stabbed with and absorbs a normal arrow
that's like saying macs aren't PCs because macs are made by apple
it's functionally the same
I just want more Narancia porn.
>Dio is a The World kind of guy
>Giorno is a Universal guy
Poetry.
pretty retarded, keep forgetting this thread is on Yea Forums
How is it functionally the same?
SEX SEX SEX
Do you have any bishie Narancia images you can post? We’re sorely lacking in images in this thread.
Why did they get rid of the Requiem thing for Part 6?
because it requires the arrow itself, which Giorno has. its worth noting that the arrow with Requiem gave Pucci and Weather their stands
like coins and milk
Because the beetle arrow is absorbed by GER nigga.
By using the stand arrow on a user his stand gets a completely different new ability. Sure, it's a slightly different arrow, they're not called requiem and the stand looks the same, but otherwise it's the same.
>In 1957, marketing researcher James Vicary said he had included subliminal messages such as eat popcorn and drink Coca-Cola in public screenings of Picnic for six weeks, claiming sales of Coca-Cola and popcorn increased 18.1% and 57.8% respectively. However, Vicary later admitted there had never been such messages and his announcement was itself a marketing trick.
does Araki not have internet access in his fantasy land
Why would they keep it around? Its role in the story was finished and Part 6 didn't need it.
>by using the stand arrow on a user
>on a user
>user
And requiem is used on a stand, gives it a completely different appearance and COMPLETELY changes any abilities it had. These are not the same.
I don't like Whitesnake very much in general, but that it just turns into Soft & Wet here is the worst of the the bullshit it does.
>I assault your mind with subliminal messages
>The messages have the power to turn you into snails
Why does Araki have to explain Stand powers with pseudo-philosophy? I don’t care how desperate you are to pad out chapters, I’d rather you use that space to give us more coherent fights instead. Fucking shonen manga...
No More Parties in LA
It's a stand that once it touches you, you can never party in LA ever again
The stand and the user are pretty much the same thing. It's like two different usb slots connecting to the same computer, it's why damage propagates across to the other.
the shot crippled him
You're retarded, Cheap Trick killed its original user and possessed another person who already had a stand
that science is canon to jojo universe, don't question it
Stone Ocean was written 2000-2003, and if you can't tell from part 5 his knowledge of computers is lacking
Sounds like the perfect Stand for Matt Damon. Now people really will never eat lunch in this town again.
>The stand and the user are pretty much the same thing.
This is not true. The stand is the soul. The person is just the body. This is why their souls can switch between bodies and yet they still have their original stands.
>it's why damage propagates across to the other
Except that's WRONG. Damage only reflects from the Stand to the user, not the other way around.
that's a specific stand ability. Of course stands aren't exactly the same as the user, but from a perspective of using a one time permanent powerup stabbing the stand and stabbing the user is the same thing. They're connected by the soul, they're half the same thing as each other, they always hang out around each other and they're both under control of the user. The plot would have been exactly the same if you had to stab the user instead of the stand and vice versa.
and even then there are an entire subset of stands that don't transfer damage at all because of their disconnect from the user
>that's a specific stand ability
its a specific stand ability to have the thing lurking on your back to kill you, absorb your life force, and jump to another person who looked at your back to do the same?
stopped reading there, 0 digit IQ
>but from a perspective of using a one time permanent powerup stabbing the stand and stabbing the user is the same thing.
But it's not the same thing. I mean shit, Giorno has be stabbed with an arrow and he didn't develop a new ability. But all it took with Silver Chariot was a prick of the beetle arrow to evolve.
as in an ability of a specific stand, these don't obey any overarching rules
>a specific stand ability to have the thing lurking on your back to kill you, absorb your life force, and jump to another person who looked at your back to do the same?
Yes, you dumbass.
>0 IQ
>-10 IQ
its almost like Cheap Trick being directly related to the soul lets him just kill his own worthless user if he over-powers him
Cheap Trick literally says his only ability is to speak
it's dragon's dream, except not shit
this is why I come to Yea Forums
Which is why people invented the “can only be the beetle arrow” theory to explain why Black Sabbath didn’t give him GER.
for the retards who can't read a comic book aimed at 13 year old asian kids?
It was quite dormant while Kira was being all sneaky and shit.
Only when he was forced to act did he mentally awaken properly into a battle state, thus allowing his stand to "mature"
Considering the whole part is a slice of life and Kyoichi is literally maturing, like a bildungsroman, it is not weird to consider such a process on Kira's part as well.
>Which is why people invented the “can only be the beetle arrow” theory
>theory
>substantiated by actual things that happen in the manga
>-20 IQ
>Cheap Trick literally says his only ability is to speak
So I guess it was some completely unrelated stand that we never see that ripped over his old user’s back, shriveled up his body, and then stuck him to Rohan?
>-30 IQ
Do you seriously have nothing better to do than call other people stupid?
>D4C first
>call stupid people stupid

just wait until I bring out the wojaks
Just post your fucking brainlet wojack folder already, assclown.

Does anyone else feel like they're having a love hate relationship with part 5?
I've been going through every episode of part 5 as they come out with a friend who's all caught up to part 8 and I find myself ranting for hours after each episode because of how bullshit things have gotten.
I feel like Araki forgot shit, through the adaptation, in the span of like 2 episodes.
The biggest one I always harp on is the Snake-Brick anti-venom.
But this week drove me fucking crazy.
My friend tells me not to think about it so hard and that makes me even more angry.
It's the most hype, well animated, and darkest part so far and I'm loving it, but shit is getting so fucking convoluted.
Limbs disappearing off of stands when the user loses them is the dumbest fucking shit ever and they immediately drop it after the BIG fight because you can see Jean Pierre Eiffel's stand still have legs after getting BTFO'd.
Ontop of that, Giorno just saying, oh I saw Polnareff do the blood drop trick made me want to my friend for like a fucking hour, but actually in the manga he says that Polnareff actually tells him to do it, so it was just an anime translation thing.
Pic related is me.

fortunately BÖC already got recognition in another god tier manga
Real good thread we had before someone decided to hijack it with Wojaks.
>Why does Araki have to explain Stand powers with pseudo-philosophy?
because it's the main appeal of jojo, otherwise it would just be a generic one piece / naruto /bleach manga
he's a tryhard that does everything he can to make the characters appear weak (from part 4 the characters aren't ken's muscle tier) and manage to win with smarts.
Look at everyone else posting about JoJo, can you do that please?
「Clutch」and 「Blast Tyrant」would make great stands.

「In the End」but unironically would be a cool Stand Name. Mostly just want to hear a jap scream that out super dramatic and serious like.

psuedo-philosophy explanations of natural and stand phenomena are part of the appeal of jojo, it's the same sort of thing rohan does where he licks spiders for that sense of detail of his manga
