best controller for PC gaming?
Best controller for PC gaming?
Far from it
Do the triggers have progression or is it the same as pressing a button?
No.
No I'm asking what is the best controller for PC gaming
Recently got one of these on sale and it's great. Great build quality for the price, connects immediately like a Microsoft controller. Just without the absurd price-tag.
Not really, it can be argued what you're asking.
I reccomend a wired 360 controller for near perfect comptaiblity with lots of random games. xbox one is pretty close to 360 in this regard. And some people use the DS4 but I wouldn't reccomend it unless you only play stuff on steam or you only play brand new shit
I use a combination of these 4
...You're not a controllerlet, right Yea Forums?
Mouse and keyboard.
My desk is always so cluttered with controllers
I don't see why you wouldn't just use an Xbone controller and a keyboard mouse instead, same functionality.
xbox pro controller at $200
XBone
>I don't see why you would use an AC Unit and a Furnace when you can just make a fire or turn on a fan, same functionality
>Bone
It just werks. No built in battery which can be a pro or con depending on how you look at it. Very safe buy
>DS4
Made for small asian hands. Battery life fucking blows. Always glowing which can be annoying. Nicest dpad of the bunch
>Switch Pro
Most comfortable controller design by far. No analog triggers. Good battery life. Terrible quality on the sticks. Retardedly high price.
Not a good comparison, fan and fire don't have the same functionality.
AC Unit - Fan
Furnace - Fire
Oh and don't trust anyone telling you to buy a third party controller from China, they're dirty commies
Yeah, not the same functionality for those combos.
Fans don't actually lower the temperature of a room, they just move air around.
Those 8bidos are shite imo, what's your experience with them?
>Bone
>Just works
No it doesn't. Triggers are fucked on Dinput, stick doesnt reach the edges, can't use triggers as buttons.
Shit controller.
Its okay, i just use them for jump n runs, older games anyway. If you want to play with the sicks it becomes uncomfortable abfter a short while
xbone if you got the dosh. If you want to play 2D games however most controllers work just fine. The steam controller is great for those weird games which aren't made for a controller in mind, such as civilization or total war.
If you can get somewhere elite controller (not the newest one that was recently announced) for like 70-80 bucks, go for it, else get the normal xbox one.
And the only reason I suggest for Elite are the 4 extra buttons on the back that are extremely necessary for a lot of PC games.
>Just without the absurd price-tag.
It's less than a fucking brand-new AAA game, wtf is wrong with you?
>new AAA game = $60
>new controller = $90
>everyone on this website is from my country
new controllers are over $100 where I'm from, it's retarded
I bought one to play MGR back in 2014 and it still works today
digital triggers ahahahahaha
Analog triggers are good for racing and an active hindrance for anything else
where are you from?
ds4
No but I don't want multiple things that has the same purpose
yeah these are decent

How autistic do you have to be to even post a response like this? Take your meds.
I've determined that the Playstation style stick layout is the superior stick layout. Why? Claw grip. Any game where you're on the Analog stick for movement and want to use D-Pad for something that isn't movement, you can claw grip your index finger onto the D-pad without interruption of your stick control.
That being said, Dualshock 4 has a crap middle section with the useless touchpad, Share and Options buttons having lacking any presence so you either use the thing until you memorize where they are or look down to find them since you can't feel them since they're flush with the body. So I'd place Dualshock 3 above 4.
Claw Grip isn't a good thing it's indicative of failings in the modern controller design we've settled on.
I use the SN30 Pro. It's a controller that can play anything fairly well, but really for me it's more for older stuff, where I'd prefer using the Dpad. The joycon and pro controller's Dpads are very stiff and not so good. So playing the NES games, Mario Kart 8, Street Fighter 2 The Final Challengers, and even Mortal Kombat 11. Something with aiming like Wolfenstein 2 or something I wouldn't recommend it as much as I would the switch pro controller.
xbone controller is 65 dollarydoos on pc case gear atm, where are you seeing 100?
Whenever plug it in it says Current Peak On USB Port can't connect
I still don't understand how anyone could prefer the Wii U Pro Controller from the Switch one, they're are basically the same. The only difference is that the Switch Pro controller is made of different material and has a better layout.
You can disable the light on the DS4 if you're using DS4 tool on PC.
I've always used my ps4 controller and it's great. Most of my games natively support it now and if they don't then I just use ds4tool
that and shipping is still too much
X1 controller.
The Switch pro dpad is complete shit.
That's the response I expected, but I don't really care about that. I've never been bothered by this, the positive aspects of this controller outweigh the negatives. There are people who prefer the 360 controller over anything else despite it's dpad being the worst one out of all modern controllers.
>d-doesnt matter!
lol
k
What positives? You just said they're basically the same.
>the positive aspects
Like what?
""""""HD rumble""""""?
It has a better layout, I can't stand Dualshock like analog placement. I prefer the material and it doesn't feel as cheap because it's heavier. It's not much better or objectively superior, but I still prefer it mainly because it's like a better Xbox one controller.
You don't need to do bluetooth memeshit to make the Switch Pro work, can just plug it in with micro USB and have a wired connection.
The Wii U Pro has a far better d-pad, the triggers feel nicer (Switch Pro has a weird level of resistance in the triggers), and the size is better for my hands (Switch Pro is too small).
I can't see how those are positive enough to outway a shit dpad.
Because not enough games utilize dpads for anything significant, It's mostly for menus. Retro games or 2D indie games are not something I'd play with a modern controller anyway, so I don't need a a good dpad.
>Because not enough games utilize dpads for anything significant
Doesn't Nintendo Online give you NES games every month?
