Everything is easy until Nightmare Grimm or the end shit in Godhome. Also congrats you beat one of the easiest bosses in the game.

Have you fought Nightmare King Grimm? Have you done the white palace? Have you got to the kingdoms edge? Have you beat Colosseum of fools? Have you fought Dream Zort?

yeah the main story is meant to be beaten by normies. it's not unreasonably hard. there's optional content that's harder if you go looking for it.

White Defender is actually easy.

The only 2 hard things in HK are 5th pantheon with 4 bindings and radiant Absolute Radiance. The rest is easy-to-moderate and if anyone says the game is hard be sure he is lying.
btw you're supposed to fight this guy at the beginning right after you discover City of Tears, or at least that's when I fought him

that's not the main story though. the whole radiance ending is optional content. you don't need to go anywhere near white palace to finish the game.

It's harder than the average Metroidvania.
Keep in mind stuff like La-Mulana is not the "average".

Beat that Ez boss in 4th try its literally just a platforming challenge.

HK gets hard with the DLC content.
Base HK is easy.

There was a patch for controllers at some point and it made the game much easier.

Hollow Knight is only hard if you want it to be.
