I live over 5 hours away, I only see him and his family once a year. Couch co-op is good, but I was thinking more of some timeless classics that would also appeal to him and primarily use keyboard and mouse.

The funniest thing is how clearly Valve has been stepping away from Trading Cards in general, which is the only actual tangible benefit for accruing Steam levels.
The one and only Steam level that matters is the one that you have to be to unlock shit like Steam trading and being able to earn participation prizes in Steam events. Sandstorm is a bit more arcade-ish and has tighter maps than Squad, both are great IMO

You can get tokens by booting up games for 30 mins that you already earned achievements in and cashing those points for tokens once a day. The 19 achievements I had in Sonic Racing got my 3.5k tokens. Assuming you play enough games that have a decent amount of achievements (TF2) you get a massive influx of free tokens without having to spend money.

Spending money gives you more space to hold those points and use them.

So you can have 100k points but without spending money, you could only use 1 to 5k.

So you do have problems reading. I'll try to explain it clearly.

The initial announcement was that the grand prix badge was giving too much xp for its low token cost relative to other event badges. To balance it, they wanted each level of the grand prix badge (and only the grand prix badge) to give less than 100 xp (IE, less than the standard for other badges).

The grand prix badge would have been the only thing affected. None of your "years worth of level collecting" would have been affected, only the xp earned by the grand prix badge.

As of right now, they decided against the xp nerf of the grand prix badge because of people's complaints that they would lose levels they already earned. Whatever Valve decides to implement regarding the grand prix badge (if they do anything at all), they will have to try to avoid the same backlash. Thus, it probably won't affect the levels you already earned from the grand prix badge.

And that's as clearly as I can summarize the situation. Good luck, collect-user.

And of course, in addition to full nudity already in vanilla, there are also "those" kinds of the mods to titillate you. I consider it a great game. None of the DLC are necessary (it's just cosmetic reskins of the same building pieces/armors/weapons already in the game), although Jewel of the West has some really sexy roman armors and marble building pieces.

I plated CE with friends for a few weeks last year. Lost interest after I realized the dumb amount of effort needed to break into someone's base. It was almost impossible to find a decent server too. PvE at the time was barebones but PvP had some hilarious moments.

I stopped playing just before the bestiality god dropped and only just came back a few days ago to try all the new content (when the other dlc's went on sale), so I'm not the best person to ask.

So far the biggest changes are the rare beasts appearing randomly (all lubed up and ready for your asshole because you thought that was a regular croc), and the major cities were reworked. No more raiding Seper willy-nilly because guards hunt in packs. I'm yet to try pets or any of the several new dungeons, but fighter thralls were hugely buffed, presumably due to the pets thing (Volcano T4 used to have 4k hp and could solo Kinscourge. Now a Seper Bandit Leader has 7k and doesn't even flinch against Kinscourge). My only gripe is that random npc's can spawn with daggers now. Bleed still fucking sucks, and now it's present in every camp.

Haven't tried online yet, but back when I used to play, raiding T3 bases really wasn't difficult even solo. It's 10 explosive jars to destroy a T3 wall/door/foundation. Once you have your T4's, you can grind out 300 jars in a couple of hours solo. That's enough to break into anything, and vaults took... 50 jars to crack? 80? I can't remember the exact number, but you had plenty for a smash and grab.

I remember saving up for a few days and raiding a huge clan with 1500 jars. I didn't have time to grab much during it (I died) but I took everything down with me. They had a long row of 3-stacked iron chests and I nuked them all. Biggest fucking loot bag I ever saw.

HOMM3 on gog is the original with all the expansions. There's a mod with fixes and to play it in hd resolutions.
When you play the campaigns keep in mind that they're in the story's chronological order, not in the order the games were released and most importantly not by difficulty, if you find the first campaign a bit too hard play restoration of erathia which is the first released and easiest

Danganronpa 1, 2 and V3 follow the same gameplay formula. You could say that each Danganronpa is the same game but with a different cast of characters. Although the "bigger story" is different in each game.
If you like the first one - you'll like the rest. If not, then you probably shouldn't bother with the other two.
You will have to start with the first one because all games are connected. DR2 is basically a sequel for DR1 and while V3 is more of a standalone title, it still spoils DR1 and DR2.

As for CIV... you won't really know it until you try it. I like both Civ5 and Civ6. They're different games and each has some good and bad points. Also, I'd say that it's not worth getting Civ6 unless you get all expansions and Gold Edition doesn't have the latest expansion Gathering Storm.

I never treated it as an investment, and I certainly never paid money just to raise my account level in stuff like these sales, though I did trade around a bit to get cards early on in the tcg's life. I hit level 200 and stopped, and I usually get 2 to 3 boosters a week, which ends up being anywhere from 20 cents if I get some bad ones, to upwards of a dollar if i'm lucky. It's nice to be able to just say "Oh I basically get a dollar off this game, cool". Honestly I made way more money just actually grinding out cards on the hundreds of games I have that support them. Nearly 800 usd accounting for foils, since all the anime games always have shittons of retards buying the foils week 1. Trails in the sky FC and SC made me almost $250 because I pulled a shitload of foils.

Momodora Reverie is great, 3 not so much but it's short enough to take a look. Every Shantae game is mediocre and passable at best, which is almost impressive in its own right. Dishonored 2 isn't amazing with its story and characters, but gameplay-wise I thought it was a masterpiece. Amazing level design, combat and stealth.

Sekiro is pretty divisive, I personally dislike it because it got rid of the multiplayer, which was a large part of why I played, and it has less replayability, because there's very little in the way of major customization. You can take and upgrade different shinobi tools but they don't play nearly as much of a factor in playing the game as, say, weapons in the other souls games.
Dark souls 1 is generally seen as the better between 1 and 2. Generally. Obviously different people see it differently but you can't go wrong with one. It's a classic. Even if you prefer 2 I can guarantee you won't hate 1.

Black Flag is the only good game in the entire series

I heard from someone who glitched their Steam level to 20K+ using an exploit available in the current Grand Prix event. They got 4 booster packs that day, but Valve took notice, intervened and corrected their account level.

In other words: that cooldown does not exist.

(And yes; there existed an exploit where you could force-raise the badge to unbelievable levels by instrumenting the badge level-up through some injected JavaScript; leveling it to *negative* levels and causing it to hit numeric overflow...)

How is Fortified? I want tower/wave defense games were you play as a character too. Kind of like a mix of ARPG meets tower defense. I loved Deathtrap and want more of that.

Honestly, I would only get DMC5, but it's a game a I genuinely love. In your case, it's impossible to tell. Chances are you won't play those other 4 games and will only focus on one or two instead. Yakuza 0 alone is a time sink, and is quite a slow paced game. All those games differ quite a bit from each other, so I can't speak for your tastes, let alone your current mindset to play a specific genre.
