Why aren't there any good video games where you play as a kaiju?
It's basically War of the Monsters and nothing else.

There was that one kickstarter game that was about kaiju fighting, but I think it got overwhelmed by furries and cancelled as a result
Because fuck me and you for liking godzilla
Because all the good giant battle in the city games are wasted on mecha because mecha actually sells
I feel like in the age of graphically impressive, mechanically shallow, open world games someone would've thrown us a bone by now.
We can get 18 games about a time traveling parkour enthusiast, but we can't get a single decent Godzilla simulator?
because monsters don't take a day to design compared and get to work like zombies so developers just throw zombies into everything instead,
furries

FURRY MAFIA
Katamari Damacy
>godzilla tactics
That game had some neat ideas but played way to much like a cheap flash game.
What annoys me is that I can maybe see games where you play as the monsters being hard to make and market because kaiju are often quite slow and cumbersome but there aren't even that many games where you fight giant monsters either. Not really off the top of my head can I name many and most people can't beyond SotC or shit like GoW.
Nìre Automata
>he doesn't know about archipelago shock
You are my buddy.
Yeah but you'd be playing as the ineffectual defense force with that kind of gameplay
Giants: citizen kabuto is the only thing I can think of.
