the movement/mobility is challenging and rewarding, that's what brings me back anyway
it can be just learning to do a basic rocket jump and seeing your favorite map open up, learning rollouts with more advanced moves or shit that's pointless in real games like the crazy shit hard jump maps expect of you
and that's without mentioning more "unintended" stuff like surfing knockback to safety as medic or doing crazy sentry jump shit as engie.

i think one of the biggest reasons for its success is the cast. every single merc iw fucking hilarious, and thier interactions are even better. they shittalk eachother in completely ridiculous yet well written ways, instead of shitty pg rated insults like overwatch has.
when i started playing the thing that would tilt me the most in the game is when i played spy with YER, i never got to hear any of spy's fucking 10/10 domination lines. or even worse, if i was playing any other merc and some bastard would kill me before i could say my lines.
it feels fucking amazing to roam around dunking on hernando.rameirez23 etc, and screaming shit about englishmen in dresses n shit. i dont think i wouldve played for anywhere near as long without the merc's personalities.

the steam client can fuck up and it will just kick you from vac servers, you have to reinstall it and some other stuff to fix it. i had issues with it in 2014 when i played cs:go.

I tried playing it yesterday after a few years and I cant stand it. I play apex legends now and have infinitely more fun
