Do you guys perhaps know of some lesser known games with a more wholesome focus?

I don't want to subject her to such things, she is my favorite after all.

The Sims has a good character creator.
LittleBigPlanet has some customization to it as well.

Tomodachi Life is pretty fun for that.

Attached: 1541764903854.png (803x966, 943K)

Not quite what I'm looking for desu.

Attached: 1561689769165.png (611x599, 275K)

Well, then, what kind of game are you looking for? An adventure game? An RPG? A strategy game?

Attached: 1544976941578.png (1024x1166, 632K)

rpgs are pretty fun when they attempt to be engaging.

You could always go for the modded Bethesda games. They aren't always about sex and boobs.

Attached: 1544066082032.jpg (1700x1800, 325K)

Do any of the games even have hair mods to achieve what I want?

Attached: 1561341689267.jpg (1280x1582, 386K)

What are some that you go back to play and enjoy?

Attached: 1561234855847.png (1600x1084, 1.94M)

True, getting a hairstyle like that is pretty hard.
I'm pretty stumped on that right now.

Attached: 1543803827079.jpg (900x900, 72K)

Back to the drawing board, I guess.

I usually like going back to play the Gran Turismo games, they never get old to me. Half-Life 1, 2, Quake 1, and Doom are also fun to replay.

Is it too much to ask for a comfy game where I can have my waifu doing normal things, living life ands maybe fighting monsters?

Attached: 1555299690501.png (1836x2661, 2.09M)

Again, modded Skyrim sounds like the perfect game for that, if you can get the hair down right. Or, you could just play Minecraft with a skin of her.

Attached: 1552578370370.jpg (848x1200, 177K)

I guess I have to learn skyrim modding.

Can we make this a general Rosalina thread?

Attached: 1556140847630.png (1024x1361, 408K)

I don't see why not. Maybe I'll actually get some games I can make her in.

Attached: 06ae85a391d7892ac1051ce00f797c44.png (1036x2017, 525K)

When will she get her own game?

Attached: 1555921712300.png (1186x1532, 1.76M)

>bigdeadalive

Attached: received_2488992321324804.png (198x42, 18K)

that be nice, but then this thread wouldn't exist. Maybe we'd have a better one.

Attached: 1555332366032.jpg (400x619, 52K)

Yeah, then we'd be talking about how good her game is. Oh well.

Attached: 1555915382744.jpg (800x1117, 104K)

I could always post my own art, but that angers people.
That does sound great.

I think it's the combo of big tits and 3d.
You know how it is.
You know I've been thinking about making my own game and adding a few customization options that could be used to make Rosie of late.

Attached: 1552853007554.png (843x1178, 727K)

Rosalina's hairstyle is very specific, though. I'd think that the most you could get away with is the bang over her head before people start to think "copyright infringement."

Attached: 1539325342636.jpg (628x545, 117K)

That's what hung me up until I realized there's something Illusion does very well. Illusion allows you to select hair front, side and back in many of their titles, I can't help it if one of the combos just so happens to look like this character.

Huh, Illusion. I didn't think of them. The last Illusion Soft game I played was AA2, and that was 5 years ago.

Yeah, I was thinking about that the other night. I already discussed what the gameplay would be like a few threads back with some user. I just need to do it at this point, but that's the part everyone gets stuck on.
Maybe something will come of it, maybe something won't. Who knows?

Do you have any experience in game dev? #D art helps for a 3D game, but a game is more than just models and textures.

I fooled around with making a 2D shooter/platformer (think contra) The problem with 3D is that extra axis and the sheer amount of assets one has to make.

Attached: 1529259422971.png (1280x869, 441K)

I'd imagine that modern engines would take off some of the stress from worrying about Z-axis issues. I think the biggest problem with 3D game development is just the assets. Finding and making those kind of assets is very time consuming. It's why indie devs like pixels and voxels so much.

Attached: 1540419561748.png (1080x1114, 531K)

The animations are a big issue as well, but I think that's classed as assets. Something I've been really interested in is procedural walking. That is a locomotion animation that adjusts based on the terrain the character is on, how fast they're trying to move, direction of movment and momentum.

Attached: 1538328604230.png (796x1155, 651K)

That all seems nice and interesting, but that seems more geared specifically towards 3D animation than game dev. It seems like a nice thing to implement, but I'd think that you'd actually want the structure and levels of your game implemented before you start worrying about little things like that.

Attached: 1535504971570.png (717x931, 369K)

Yeah, that's why I haven't shown anything off to anyone just yet. It's all just talk and ideas now.

Do you even know how you game is going to play? What will the player do? What are the player objectives? How will the player progress and move forward? What kind of obstacles will they encounter?

You were discussing what Rosalina's game would be like with me a few weeks back

It seems a little ambitious for one person, though. It's fun, but I'd imagine it would have to be scaled down unless you want to work on it for 8 years.

What I'd personally do is have the player traveling to different planets with their own motifs and hub area for one to start from on the planet for the main story and and a sizeable chunk of the side content, I'd slap in some procedural for the player to make a home base type thing in. If you're familiar with what starbound was before chucklefuck ripped it apart, the procedural aspect should sound familiar. What I really want to put focus into is crafting much like Rune factory, loot and skills. For skills I'd take inspiration from final fantasy tactics. In final fantasy tactics, many of the weapons and armor gave the player skills, but the player could learn these themselves by gaining enough experience with the weapon or armor piece.

>What I really want to put focus into is crafting much like Rune factory
Be careful with in-game crafting systems. Don't make it like Minecraft or Terraria where you have to start reading a Wiki to understand what can be crafted into what.
>In final fantasy tactics, many of the weapons and armor gave the player skills, but the player could learn these themselves by gaining enough experience with the weapon or armor piece.
FFIX did this as well.

The concept of traveling to different planets to collect loot is reminding me of Pikmin 2, where you traveled to different areas of the planet to scour for loot as well.

Yeah, that always bothered me. Take a look at Runefactory's crafting system, it's robust but pretty straight forward.
