Interesting story but i wouldn't call it fun outside of challenge quests where you're on edge if youre not using double merlin.
The game is a lot of farming and it easily overcome with easily rolled servants.

Gachas aren't about fun. Even the ones that seem to start that way will wear it out because they're designed to be "played" for a long time. Either the gameplay will eventually lose all meaning as you mindlessly do it for the thousandth time or they introduce more and more mechanics to drain you of time, resources, money, etc.

Nah dude. I'm still using my Tharja who I've had since forever. She's one of the best mages in the game and she's really easy to build, what with her being 3-4* unit naturally. Some skills are definitely better than others, I'll admit to that, but almost every unit is viable.

Depends on what the definition of "good" is here.
FGO probably has the best gameplay for a phone game and can be really challenging if you're not no-braining it with double merlin (which isn't possible unless you rolled for him during his banner) or getting carried by support servants, however the gacha is some of the worst there is with terrible rates, it also takes months to grind for quartzes since they only hand you a very limited amount for free so don't expect to roll for more than 2 banners a year for a decent chance at getting a SSR unless you want to spend money.
If you only care about collecting characters you got better alternatives like Azur Lane and Girls Frontline, those games hand out SSRs like candy, but the gameplay is lacking by comparison.

I would tell you this, FGO is the most balanced mobile game out off them all. It remembers that it is a mobile game, unlike other games that has too complicated gameplay for a phone game, it has the most servicable story out off all the mobile games.

The english server is 2 years behind in content and doesn't hand out as many free quartz, the good thing though is that since it's so far behind in content you can plan ahead and save your quartz for the best events instead of wasting it on filler or trap events.
JP is the most up to date and is a bit more generous with free quartz but even then you gotta understand japanese if you want to get through the dozens of different menus and want to know what the fuck you're doing, you also can't plan ahead as effectively or read the story (though honestly the story is pretty shit/boring for the most part, but some chapters like Babylon, Camelot and Shinjuku are pretty good, it has a slow start too).

Fgo is one of the worst so it would be quicker to name which games are worse. Girls frontline for example. Stuff like azur lane and magia record are garbage tier shit too but slightly better than fgo. You'd have to look up some real shit indie gachas to make fgo look good. Jesus christ tell me what games you've played to make fgo look good. You're probably just a biased fatedrone.

this fight is the hardest challenge in the entire game, its extremely out of the ordinary; you're supposed to complete the event so that you can fight her without 4 million health and a bunch of buffs/debuffs

I thought it was a very inferior version of Shinjuku, the twists were predictable, most interactions weren't very interesting and having Scheherazade repeating to the whole party how much she didn't want to die every 5 minutes was extremely annoying. The fact that Drake was a complete slut didn't even bother me, I always found it weird how that was the prime reason JP hates Agartha when the first thing Drake does in Okeanos after you beat her is to give (You) permission to fuck her.

Stall teams aren't exactly fun, the reason why those videos are impressive is because you're not even supposed to beat Kiara in that form, the event is built so that you have to gradually weaken her until she's bearable, but the game gives you the option to fight her without any debuffs and that's the result.
