In light of the recent update blog through Activision, I would urge players now more than ever to grind out those coins with this following strategy;
Form up in pairs and grind up in Jungle Boogie for an hour or as long as it takes for the bonuses to no longer be applied to your end-of-race reward.
In the interest of the time allotted to players within this single hour of the day, ensure that you are hosting a private lobby, set the race to have no AI and done in the minimum of three laps, as you are not rewarded anything additional for doing any more than the bare minimum.

Very important note:
Please ensure that both players have disabled intro cutscenes and to never enable them ever again for both their own convenience and the convenience of others.

Jungle Boogie averages offline 40 coins at first place with an average completion time of 1 minute and 30 seconds each.
Compared to Electron Avenue which averages offline 80 coins at first place takes on average around 4 minutes and 30 seconds to complete.
Considering loading times, you are turning out a far better profit through Jungle Boogie, so be sure to boogie for one hour as a pair. Having a third player waters down the prize pool and introduces more chaotic item usage on the track which you must avoid so as to not slow down the grind any.

Upon the debut of the Grand Prix and it's content update, if podium animations are not optional online we can be looking at a far, far worse grind than ever before. Whilst I fully agree that adding the podium animations online makes total sense - since otherwise you'd only ever see them in a Nitro-Fueled adventure mode - they need the optional to be set on or off by individual players. The only question to this would then be the effects on the player lobby if some players skip back whilst others are at the podium.

The wumpa time is actually 30 minutes, but it only ticks down during actual gameplay so all the extra menus and waiting doesn't actually effect how much you can theoretically earn.

When it happened to me it only corrupted the global save and not the adventure slots so you might be in luck.

7 characters are unlockable by just playing the game and beating certain bosses/earning certain achievements.

Penta Penguin is the easiest to unlock since its a cheat code you can look up online
The adventure mode bosses are the second quickest to unlock, since you just have to beat them
Fake Crash takes a bit longer than the bosses since you need to do the crystals challenges and then complete the purple gem cup. Patience is key for the crystal levels.
Then you have all the CNK characters except N. Trance, who cost 1500 wumpa coins that you win by playing anything, althought online gives you the most ammount of coins
N. Trance will take longer because you can't buy him in the shop separately, since he is only avaible in the summer pack wich comes with him, 2 skins and a paintjob but it costs 7200 coins
And finally the hardest to unlock is N. Tropy, how you unlock by beating his ghost in the time trials on all tracks (except the bonus track that you get in PS4. DO NOT DO THE TIME TRIAL IN RETRO STADIUM BECAUSE IT CAN CORRUPT YOUR SAVEFILE)

its good fun when you stop triple missiling eachother over 5th place like retards and work together to save your items to stop first place from getting a breakaway

If you time your drifts well and combine it with air time boosts and boost pads you can start to maintain high speeds for longer. A lot of it is just getting used to track layouts and finding the best routes.

Basically the fastest level of boost, in OG CTR it didn't make your exhaust blue but it does in this so it's a little more distinguishable now. Only certain boost pads give it.

The designers of pit stop also deliberately made offline rewards poor to push people to race online, but the actual motivation behind that decision remains unknown to me because nobody directly involved with the game gets any real world money from it.

The way the reserves system works is that as long as there is ANY amount in the tank, you can continue to maintain your boosted speed.
Boosted speed of course refers to any speed that is faster than your kart's native cruising speed.
You can reach boosted speed through any means of boost. Different levels are single/double/triple boost (the tiers of hangtime boost correlate with these), turbo boost, and super turbo boost. These are distinguished through the varying intensity of the flames coming out of your exhaust with super turbo (blue fire, USF) being the strongest.
Add to your reserve tank by boosting. Better boosts give you more reserve to work with. Doing lots of consecutive boosts lets you fill the tank faster than it drains, just be careful about crashing into walls or getting hit since those drain the tank to 0 instantly.

Yes, as long as it's FAT32 or exFAT. It won't save directly to the USB drive, but you can use the save management menu to transfer things to and from the USB stick freely.

At this point I would not be surprised. This is going to be the "EVERYONE IS HERE" equivalent for Crash.

He's the original vehicle level, if Pura and Polar gets to be in, I don't see why the Hog should not.

I dunno, I think it's better to make them the final ones when there's no more GPs. I'd prefer a sort of ongoing storyline where Stew keeps getting them in potential legal trouble from the sponsers or studio until they get fired and need a new line of work. It'd also fit nicely with the whole gacha style event system to have a little ongoing story for each event before a grand finale of sorts.
That's just me though.
