OOT was really bad in terms of story and characters overall. MM was definitely a step up on this regard. (with memorable sidequests like Anju and Kafei's, or the gibdo mask one)
It also had stone tower temple, arguably one of the better 3D dungeons of the series.
Finally, the atmosphere still is to this day extremely unique and timeless.

Not him but once you've replayed OoT 20 times like I have, it feels way too much like a tutorial. You start to notice that most of your time in dungeons is consumed by filler non-puzzles like ocarina playing, silver rupees and block pushing that aren't remotely challenging and rarely utilize dungeon items. That and the entire child section is just a slog on replays.
Even if you know MM like the back of your hand, you can still have fun trying to squeeze as much progress into one 3 day cycle as possible. You can effectively make the game as difficult as you want. Still, I acknowledge that you need the context of OoT for Fedora's mask to have the same atmosphere, so I consider the two games as one with MM being the better of the two.

Yes. I've played a lot of video games across a lot of platforms starting from the late 80s and onward. I don't even love adventure games and nothing was more satisfying than completing OOD. Games are subjective but if you trash this game you're just a bitter lonely contrarian edgelord. It's that simple.
