The greatest achievement of Thief(well besides the gameplay) to me are the cutscenes which all have a ominous feel with fantastic sound design. The one that shows the talk with Constantine is still one of my favorite cutscenes of all time.

I've talked to some people who worked at Konami while Kojima was there, and from what I've heard he's a visionary, but overly ambitious and needs someone to reel him in. One of the main reasons for his falling out with Konami was because he kept missing deadlines and moving people from other departments to KojiPro.
