Yeah. After seeing all the hollow knight shitpost threads after silksong's announcement, I'm surprised and glad about the radio silence regarding this game on Yea Forums
An indie platformer without ugly 8 bit graphics
Ori is a pure and wholesome game with no memetic appeal so it's understandable why
"indie"
if by indie you mean 40 or 50 employees and a dev deal with microsoft then ok.
Get implants
>shit game though
Don't listen to this user. It's the best game on that list.
Nah ,it is a fucking awful.Clunky as shit and ugly graphics
It’s terrible
They didn't have a gameplay showcase plus the original game didn't really stand out in anything besides the graphics and that's not something that triggers discussion.
Ori pissed me off, honestly.
It felt too much like it was trying to tug at your heartstring, with it's various undeserved FEEL BAD NOW PLEASE moments, that just end up getting undone by the end. "haha hey your mom-thing died trying to keep you fed because she loves you but it's okay because she just gets back up later"
It keeps stealing control from you to slowly watch a door open up
It's save-state-esque mechanic just felt lazy. There are save points, but like 3 of them, so it has to use this to make it's level design bearable.
Then when the game is finally starting to get mechanically interesting, it's over, with the only thing left to do is 100%, and that's just getting health upgrades you don't need by this point.
But I guess it looks good so all of that is okay.
