Why do people defend the existence of DLC? I don't believe any of the DLC weren't already done when releasing the full game.
Why do people defend the existence of DLC...
EA would have no legs at all, each one being a 10$ DLC but you could buy all 4 in a 30$ season pass.
you want the game to cost 70 dollars instead?
What are you suggesting
I'm all for going back to physical releases of expansion packs, but so many of you guys don't bother with disc drives in your builds you'd be bitching about that instead.
I prefer expansion pass style DLC to minor additions, but even then I think that it can be acceptable if the alternative is waiting for new hardware in order to make another game. I'll still buy the smash bros DLC, because I enjoy the game and recognize that the support translates into its longevity.
We should like
Make our own games
And stick it to EA man
You see in the picture; EA’s table lacks its foundation without its DLC. This is accurate.
Well-executed DLC is more like decorating and adding to the table fir a reasonable price. Therefore; I refuse entrirely abolishing the practice.
Depends on the kind of DLC.
Lootboxes and other minor shit like cosmetics can suck my dick, actual expansions Witcher 3 style are good.
It would be more realistic to get physical releases on SD cards. Blu ray data transfer realistically can't keep up with any high-budget title so you end up buying what is basically an installer that would do the same thing as buying from Steam. That's basically what consoles do, by the way.
All games have cut content, unused ideas etc. DLC allows devs to polish that cut content, reuse scrapped ideas with potential and create new content for the game without the players having to wait for a whole new game.
Ikea literally already sells tabletops and legs separately
I would believe it if season passes or dlcs getting announced before the game even comes out didn't exist
Dear EA shill:
Yes I would pay more. I would pay an extra 20$ if it meant less DLC jewry and less forced diversity. I understand the price of games has not kept up with inflation and it's best just to increase it.
Why are you defending predatory corporate practices, cuck? DLC is never acceptable, kill yourself.
Fuck it was meant for
ea btfo in one image so based
This is the kind of thinking that shows just how retarded you are. The only reason the games would cost that much is because the game companies are so retarded and do so many retarded things.
They spend millions in ads, millions on merch, millions in hiring actors and shit like that, and millions on other utterly useless bullshit. They spend spend spend spend and then having nothing left and need to sell 6 gorillion copies to even break even.
Games could cost less these days if they'd stop doing that trash. But nope. Gotta hire 50 different "diversity officers" to oversee how white a character is. Instead of, idk, downsizing to the right number of people, spending less on ads so they can actually fund the game itself and make it better/easier on the devs to actually make shit.
Games don't need to cost 70 dollars. They don't need microtransactions. They need less retarded publishers and less greedy corporate fucks behind them.
Last time I bought an Ikea table I had to buy the 4 legs separately...
>I don't believe any of the DLC weren't already done when releasing the full game.
Considering the quality of most DLC that's clearly not the case either. Even top tier games like BotW aren't immune.
I put my money on quality DLCs/expansions like say Fromsoft DLCs. If I don't think a dlc is substantial I will ignore it. There are devs that do scummy DLC practices sure but if you do your research you can avoid purchasing that shit.
What an incredibly convincing argument lmao. Grow up, child.
Bottom is more like an ikea product than top
Actually, EA would have one half of one leg.
The other half is a pre-order bonus
2 more legs will be DLC
Then you roll loot boxes for a chance of fourth leg, but if you actually get the leg you'll realize it's a different length than the other 3.
