>Deep Purple made this track

jesus christ the guy from deep purple sang this

It's like how the Queen did the entire Highlander soundtrack and never used any of those songs in an album.

>t. Howard Philips

Did anyone watch the anime? I thought it was alright from I remember.

Oh yeah, blue dragon.
I totally forgot this game existed.

I watched it in japanese as the episodes were being released

it was ok but not that remarkable.
I remember the intro being pretty comfy and I never skipped it

>did anyone read the manga
Y-yeah I did

Attached: download (37).jpg (210x240, 6K)

OH FUCK DONT TELL ME IS THAT A MOTHERFUCKING JOJO REFERENCE

and yes it was an official manga adaptation, and yes it was made by the Death Note guy

Was this ever good?
I remember watching the anime as a lad. All i remember is that he smacks his head to summon his stand whatever

Attached: 1561713741734m.jpg (1024x576, 44K)

no, it's an Okage reference. Literally the same fucking concept.

Blue Dragon was the first JRPG I fell in love with that wasn't Pokemon. It was really one of the last traditional console JRPGs without gimmick combat.

Fuck y’all I liked blue dragon i haven’t played it since I was like 12 but still

I loved Blue Dragon!

This game, quite honestly, had an excellent OST, on pair with Nier and Lost Odyssey easily.
youtube.com/watch?v=FRTM2oQipjI

the only problem this game had to me was the lack of facial animations for the characters.

RIP VINCEBORG ;_;7

came here to say this

Remember when this game was gonna be good...

I believe ghosts are like dogs and they just sort of do things arbitrarily

Played this game during my childhood rent-a-game days. I had free rentals every month because of these coupon/tickets gamecrazy/gamestop gave to you on a purchase of (a console?). Had a years worth I think.

Probably only completed 10% of the game, got stuck at some point. Jrpgs were my weakness in terms of progression. Got stuck in Tales of Symphonia as well before having to return the game. Steambot Chronicles 2 when.

Were the ds sequals any good?
I loved the game, but never touched those.

REACHIN HANDS
YOU ARE BLIND
STARIN DOWN ETERNITY

Couldn't stomach more than 2 minutes.

Same. I found the world very charming, especially the village under the lone house in the snow.

I played the second DS game and it was meh.

''Eternity''
composer - Nobuo Uematsu
singer - Ian Gillian

I mean, you'd expect something good from this, but no. It's garbage.

But then, again, this happends everywhere. Take Peter Jackson, for example. He directed LotR, a masterpiece, and trash movies such as Bad Taste and Hobbit.

Imagine being so tasteless that you don't like Deep Purple.
youtube.com/watch?v=ikGyZh0VbPQ

>Got stuck in Tales of Symphonia as well
hahaha
How? Let me guess, in that forest where you had to use flowers to ''travel''?

Hobbit issues mostly stem from executive meddling and literally, LITERALLY zero pre-production.
He had to wing it as he went.

I'd have to emulate and play it again to awaken my memories. All I remember at this point is mechanical hand and snow romance.

that reminds me of barkley 2, i want to ask cboyardee how deep in development hell it is nowadays

>Eternity
>garbage
It's like they have shit taste on purpose.

See

I love Deep Purple, and Ian Gillian. But his voice in this track is awful.

youtube.com/watch?v=LUjxPj3al5U

From 3:09
It sounds like a pardoy, not an actual song and you know it. But here's (You)

Nabijem te nakurac.

Lost Odyssey was better.

>from 3:09
You mean when the song is basically almost over?
So you admit that 90% of it is great, good to know.
Also it's mostly Gillian being too old so he can't pull off the same high notes with his voice.

No, I mean that the song is bad, but the last minute is even worse.

You sound like a tasteless zoomzoom

They're both identical in terms of gameplay, you could only like one over the other in terms of atmosphere/story/music, but you're a fag to pick over the other instead of liking both anyway.

I'll take that as a compliment.

Nothing

Never played the game but this song is unironically great. Ian Gillian literally can't do wrong.

>It sounds like a parody

That's the best part

I'd kill a man for remakes/remasters of these games

how has Toriyama designed 3 different jrpgs

someone explain to me the art direction of Blue Dragon and how Toriyama designed it to differentiated between other works

Blue Dragon gameplay is better because of no random encounters.

bad post

Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are the proof Sakaguchi can't make a decent turn based combat. And RPG.

He is loved for his reputation rather than what he has actually done, he has gotten sloppy/lazy in recent years but people eat his shit up anyway.

His tit love was pure.

bad post

The fuck you taking about? Those songs were in A Kind of Magic album.

This game just always felt like a thing that happened, more than anything else. Like, sometimes I think it didn't even exist. Wasn't it a launch title for 360?

he designed dragon ball, dragon quest, and chrono trigger all in his prime and basically week after week

That's why they said recent years.

anything designed by Toriyama automatically has 200% more soul

I remember the story as making zero sense.

jesus christ the guy from death note made this

cringe

For me it's Zola

why the fuck

Why not all_ of them?

Wait like 60s dad rock deep purple? Weird I liked this game

i asked how he designed 3 jrpgs that are more or less distinct from each other

see Chrono Trigger
>it's Dragon Ball
see Dragon Quest
>it's Dragon Ball
see Blue Dragon
>it's Dragon Ball

They are not distinct.

faggot

Doomed to obscurity being a jrpg 360 exclusive in 2006

Idolmaster wasn't even ported on 360 just yet at that point

>Wait like 60s dad rock deep purple?
The very same.

My first waifu

The only other girl in the party is Kluke and she doesn't really appeal to me. There's also that anime exclusive girl who joined but I can't remember her name. Shu was kinda annoying at how much of a shounen protag he was with his "I'll never give up!" talk. Marumaro was fine during non-voiced moments. Jiro I also liked because tended to keep a smart head on his shoulders. But I like Zola the most both for her design and cool personality, plus her shadow's ultimate attack was pretty neat.

Truth hurts, user?

the art style is the same, i mean it is the same artist

but the direction isn't just different, its distinct

Same

Literally every girl in the game is good, minor characters included. And Shu's "I won't give up" thing is part of his character, he learns later on that "I won't give up" isn't always the answer, in fact that is a direct quote.

The anime was the main reason I never played Blue Dragon

I need to replay this.
