>jrpg fag
checks out
You disgust me. JRPGfags should be genocided
Fuck these naysayers, you're completely right
OP is right and you can't prove him wrong
Good story & good gameplay > good story & average gameplay > average story > good gameplay > average story & average gameplay > good story & bad gameplay > average story & bad gameplay > bad story & average gameplay > bad story & bad gameplay
So uh yeah basically I agree expect in cases where the gameplay is so bad the story cant make up for it
Just read a book then, retard
What do you consider bad gameplay?
Technical issues aside, isn't that technically entirely subjective?
Oh I messed that up.in the middle oh well
I don't understand why people can't accept a game for what it is and what it was intended to be. There's so many games that are good because it did what the developers sought out to do. If they wanted a story heavy game that didn't focus on gameplay, why's that a bad thing? Do you only play 1 genre of games? I mean, if it's not your thing it's not your thing but having this doctrine you follow internally and just dismiss games outside of what you've played before is just absolutely silly.
Gameplay > Graphics > Story
Fuck Estelle and lock her up alongside 4 lustful Giant Flying Felines
Xenoblade
The whole clause exists because of xenoblade. It has a good story but was a fucking chore to play, so fuck it.
this is why we need /Falcom/ general
Not true, but it's perfectly fine for some games to focus on one of the two more than the other.
Sky's gameplay is actually pretty fun anyway though. The way levelling works means there's no incentive or cause to grind, so you can skip most of the random encounters and thus avoid the most common problem JRPGs have, and most of the boss fights are genuinely entertaining.
Fair enough.
>99.5% of the time
Gameplay > art direction > story > graphics
leaving out soundtrack because it's harder to throw on there despite a potentially huge impact
>.5% of the time
A story game manages to actually be good, but most are a combination of bad/mediocre gameplay on top of bad/mediocre story, and you'd have been much better off even reading a crappy young adult novel.
there is one but they already shit it up so now they come to Yea Forums to false flag while also shilling the kiseki games
bump
>the only thing that gets posted about the game is this dumb bitch
Is it that bad?
Don't bully, Trails in the Sky is such a nostalgic old-school game. Of course you'll only see the main character, unless you're in a dedicated thread.
nah, she's about the most boring part of these games but neckbeards always post estelle because they want to fug her.
Gameplay>anything else, I don't even know the story of any games I've played through
>story
If I want a genuinely good story I can read a book. Gameplay - - Graphics - - Setting - - - - - - - - Story
Books fucking suck to be honest with you
t. short-span attention retard who can't read 2 consecutive lines without checking the phone
You never read a book
That is valid in 99% of cases. The remaining 1% are visual novels and walking simulators. You need to fucking put some effort in your fanfics before you start calling them "games"
Danganronpa is the best example. The cool story mixed with entertaining trials with actual mechanics is why the game is literal perfection. Without the elements of exploration and interaction this would be just a boring visual novel. Same with zero escape games.
Too bad Trails story is almost completely garbage unless you read the actual overarching bits on a wiki.
they both suck on Trails case.
