This and urbz are the only good sims games
Incorrect
bro
GTFO underage
That's just false in almost every aspect of a Sims game. That one song in the OP will forever have more value in this world than Urbz. Bustin out and Sims 2 were great on console
The Sims 2 Main Theme
Heh. I was just listening to this soundtrack the other day. More proof the collective unconscious exists.
The Sims Build Mode 5

Lots of sims have died with this tune.
Not posting the one and only song on repeat.

>Tfw me and my friend played Sims 2 on PS2 in CO-OP or me playing Sims 1 for the first time on my brother's PC when I was a child
I want to go back, bros
For me it's Metropolis

I used to listen to simcity 4 soundtrack a lot

Why did The Sims lose all its soul after the first game?
Some of the sequels were all right, but none of them had anywhere near the same amount of charm.
Actually, how the hell did they give a game about suburban middle class wish fulfilment so much soul to begin with?
The music was a big part but it can't have been the only thing.
>being a child and trying to rationalize playing a virtual dollhouse as getting ready for adult life
>don't even try setting up sims' deaths or anything just having a genuine dollhouse playthrough and have a blast
The first Sims just makes me sad nowadays because it makes me remember myself from back then better than anything. Not quite as sad as Sims 2 where I self inserted myself and suddenly ended up as a single elderly father living in a starting house with a shitty job. Never played it ever since.
extreme cringe
I believe the first Sims was designed as no jokes boomer game. Look at its' esthetics and music and all. Later games were directed in a different direction. Sims 2 still had some charm but even then EA got a feel of how deep teenage girl rabbit hole went and pandered that way heavily ever since.
Great taste but nothing compared to m.youtube.com
What the fuck was his problem?
It actually was pretty popular with boomers
he transcended tutorial mode and became an actually interesting character
i have very fond memories of the first game, but i do happen to love 4 just as much
That he'll never be as powerful as Mortimer.
I used to use it as sleeping music. Still use it on occasion when I want to relax.
>Mortimer
>the most cucked sim in existence
>powerful
>have the most dashing wife/love interest in all games of the series
>inside the series favoured by self insert fags and perverts
Game was rigged from the start for Mortimer. Never tried to steal Bella from him, he was always my friend ingame.
Pounded that digital gold digging whore on the regular, even stayed friends with Morty. But goddamn Bella is a whore.
He couldn't handle the tutorial being over and getting overwhelmed by all his needs
why this peace of shit is so hard to install and crack I got og iso from 2004
As a kid I never thought I would look like him when I grew up.
do you also own a dirty green shirt?
Sort of, it was white once but it's more green-brownish now.
hey, at least you have cosplay material
Sims 1 had some surprisingly based music, even in genres that ought not to have good entries.
Country

how the fuck did they do it?
threadly reminder that Sims 1 Build Mode music was just an Australian pianist who was paid to fly to America and just improve for an hour or 2 while they recorded.
He literally made it all up on the spot out of his head.
because you're an idiot who didnt just get the Sims 2 with all expansions for free on Origin.

This.
I always thought i'd grow up to look like the sunglasses slicked-back hair guy in a suit.
morning commute is a good sim city 4 track too. here have a listen
the horns/trumpets sound like car horns in the bustling morning commute. jerry martin is a musical genuis
>tfw played Sims 2 CO-OP on PS2 with my buddy as well
And the entire soundtrack is 10/10. It helped the game to get that middle class, videogame pause menu but jazzy vibe. It's a comfy game, with more implicit humor.
Both of those games have the song in OP
Same here. Played Bustin' Out with a bro and it was surprisingly enjoyable.
I wonder why there's no multiplayer for the PC sims games. I thought normies, youtubers and streamers would be all over that shit.
maybe aussies aren't so bad after all
Party mode was the shit.

The Sims 2 - Busy Sim (Build Mode theme 1)

No Gridlock is the patrician choice.
I don’t know why the buy mode music has such an effect on me.
It’s like some ideal version of reality I’m looking at through a window
I'd buy philips CDI only for this game tqbh
>Abusing the tutorial to max Bob's painting skills without needing to feed him or make him rest
*SIIIIIIP*
Yep. Good times.
I wonder why they thought choosing such melancholic music for build mode was a good idea. But hey, I'm not complaining at the end product.
I wanted to feel like I'm installing proper release version not this origin bs since I missed on sims2 back in the day
I love The Sims!

Urbz Hd Sequel with whicked whims when
Not scary at all. Cringe.
Almost
surprised me kek
Is there more game like the Urbz?
fuck i'm retarded, "improvise".
Where does the Sims 3 fall when ranking the series?
Into the trash.
>A E S T H E T I C
die
>Why did The Sims lose all its soul after the first game?
2 is overall better
>Origin
onnonononononon
Faster!
Not fast enough tbqh
Sims 3 with a good setting > Sims 2 > Sims 3 > Sims 1 > Shit > Sims 4
>build mode is simple and introspective piano pieces about house settling and long term plans
>buy mode is mall muzak about impulse buying and short term plans
like pottery
Debatably, in fact I'd probably agree with you, but that wasn't my point.
It still had far less soul.
based
most fun
but you gotta have patience for the load times
has PC technology reached a point where it can play an expansion maxed out version of Sims 3 yet with out grinding to a halt?
>women played the game as it was designed
>men just used cheats to build giant structures and then set it all on fire
what did humans mean by this?
>This game had split-screen co-OP
Perhaps the most comfy vidya ever.
What was lost in the Sims 3, Yea Forums? Why wasn't it as fun as the previous games?
how did they get away with ripping this song off
youtube.com
The issue with the sims 3 is the garbage that the game keeps piling up in the game files. I remember downloading a mod that cleaned up shit like cars that were created since the start of the game, and it went from loading in 10 minutes to a few seconds.
open world with a population of 30 is a mistake
What is this style of music called and where can I find more? It's not quite bossa nova but sure reminds me of it.
I'm glad screamers have died with old internet.
idunno what it's called but here
youtube.com
>using the tutorial mode motive freeze to max out his skills, fuck bitches, and make money
Bob was the ultimate Chad in my game.
>with a population of 30
Sunset Valley in the base game has a population of over 120. If you install expansions it's going to be even higher and if you enable SP the game is going to move in new families so it's going to be even higher still.
This games feels older than 2000 for some reason
autism
>It still had far less soul
what the fuck are you rambling about sims 1 is horribly barebones
thats not the point, youd need around like 1000 sims to make every world not look like a ghost town in every bar, shop etc
Ghost town? Most popular lots should have at least around 8-10 sims during peak hour. It won't have more than 20 but that's not unique to Sims 3. They all have max sim per lot limits. If you are going to whine lots are dead on a Wednesday at midday it's because everyone is at work or school but if you go to a hangout lot in the evening it should be bustling. If it's not it's because your CPU isn't powerful enough to handle that many sims.
reminder that Land of Chocolate is also a rip-off: youtube.com
>shitty
Did you even play Bustin' Out and The Urbz on the GBA, man? These games were not shitty but the shit on GBA.
The genre you're looking for is called "Muzak". It's the music you would hear in 1960s shopping malls. There were a few companies that sold background music systems for these stores, and the same company would provide the records. Muzak is one of them, but there's also Seeburg and others.
