Who says anything about pacifism? also, with right perks you can blow everyone's brains off with a small club. If you really doubt yourself, look up basic melee builds and build around the idea

also, if you want more build ideas, do what I did and just RP as some character you like from comics or movies. No joke, I did Kenshiro with greased lightning build, Man in Black from Westworld, and Snake from MGS

Playing Kenshiro in NV feels so fucking natural. The game outright gives you the necessity to achieve this easily 10 hours in
>10 STR and 8 END
>either built to destroy or heavy handed trait
>get melee perks
>get greased lightning and two-step goodbye
>get leather armor (or Road warrior from a mod if you're not vanilla)
>annihilate everything
It's even better with mods
