They wanted to sell it as an e-sport, so much so they cut out the most played multiplayer mod from the other games to force people to play it. When asked about it, they just said modders could add it back in if they really cared.
For as long as this games taking to come out they sure love cutting out content, like building castles and shit.

Wat? How much undone can the game be? Did they just re-overhaul the goddamn engine again? Is Gamescom going to be all about the multiplayer beta? Will we have anything at all regarding how much singleplayer has been completed? Are they trying to kill us all? This is maddening.
