Should I try half-life or does it suck now

The puzzles are pretty easy to figure out if you have half a brain and know how to use the environment. Most of the ones in HL2 and its episodes were harder.

As someone who loves the Half-Life series, I can confirm that everything before Ravenholm is completely shit. Don't judge the game before you get the gravity gun. Hell if you're really bitchy about the gunplay, MMOD is a good alternative since it's so customisable

The only early access thing is like 3 levels from the new Xen which is way more than just the last shit in hl1
