Steamcharts right now says there are 172 UNIST players and 134 BBCF players. Not that huge of a difference and Blazblue has better characters with better movesets and cooler combos.

Yes. Good amount of defensive and offensive mechanics. Shit ton of character mechanics that you probably need to get hit by about 10 times to get a decent grasp of. I wouldn't say it's simpler, just a bit different. Like how meter and barrier works.

The movesets and combos in BBCF make Rev 2 look shallow in comparison. People tend to like GG's character designs more though

Also I've been told Tsubaki, Mai and Es are easy to pick up characters.

I would say that there is a little carry over between anime games so maybe try starting with easier execution characters if you do end up picking it up as general fundamentals will carry over and CF has a pretty good tutorial for general mechanics.

These kinds of games are the best when first coming out and everyone is in the same boat learning how to fight character gimmicks.

There's a difference between character heavy mechanics and system heavy mechanics. Games like Street Fighter or DBFZ require an understanding of the games mechanics first and characters are easier to pick up from there. Games like GG and BB have character heavy mechanics where you not only need to learn the basic gameplay, but also the characters because they play so wildly different from each other sometimes. There are some exceptions, but how the fuck are you supposed to know that Bang can full-screen CROSSUP command grab super you if he has all four seals open? You just gotta take it and learn from the crazy shit that happens.

This is the only one I wont agree with but yeah, some of the archetypes in BB feel pretty strong compared to GG.

She's the basic brawler archetype with the gimmick of being limited by a two stage install. She has simple tools, high damage, and basic fighting game pressure. She's too straightforward and honest for a game that as gimmicky and dishonest as CF though. So you'll eventually just get frustrated and pick someone else that doesn't have to work as hard simply to execute a simple ass gameplan.

They didn't do it with Rev and Rev 2 because it meant it was more feasible to do an international release, which I welcome because I'd much rather just have the game in Japanese and not have to wait for it. Not many people were into the dub anyway, it wasn't like BB where people had an attachment to it.

I don't agree with any of these except for Hazama being better than I-No and Susano'o being better than Justice. Hakumen and Baiken as well as Tager and Potemkin are debatable. Every other pairing you mentioned the BB character is trash and the GG character is way cooler.
