In regards to the adult timeline

>in regards to the adult timeline...
>BotW Hyrule is 100% the classic Hyrule and in WW the Triforce itself granted the wish of left Hyrule (and Ganondorf, who is still around in BotW) under the sea forever
>in TLoZ and AoL you already meet humanoid bird races (the fokkars and fokkers) and even in Twilight Princess you see a mural with a bird race too so there's no reason to think the rito are supposed to be 100% exclusive of WW's timeline, the ones of WW are zora who fucked bird races and evolved into the race known as rito and in other timelines the birds and the fish never got mixed and the rito race is different
>the kokiri can evolve from kokiri in other timelines too due to convergent evolution
>the sea salt mentioned in BotW can be from any ancient sea, even from the sea of SS's past
>Ganondorf was killed in this timeline and (according to the canon guides) had no desire to come back and fight Link and Zelda again so he can't be around anymore

>in regards to the child timeline...
>the mention of the Twilight Realm doesn't necessarily mean the hylian-twili war from TP happened, since the royal family is supposed to know about the Twilight Realm and the fact a troublesome clan was exiled there, it makes sense to mention it when talking about the trials a hero may face
>classic Ganondorf was 100% killed forever and ever, the one from FS4 is a brand new Ganondorf (in Ganon form but still a Ganondorf), a reincarnation of the original one like Zelda's reincarnations, completely different to the one from BotW that just comes back to life when you kill him
>the stone monuments the zora race uses to preserve their story in BotW state the princess Ruto from OoT became the Water Sage, but this is the only timeline where that never happened

>in regards to the downfall timeline...
>in BotW the king's diary says calling the princesses "Zelda" is an old tradition and between ALBW and ToZ an hyrulean prince created said tradition due to the guiltiness of make a wizard put her sister Zelda in a (seemly) eternal sleep
>in BotW kingdom of Hyrule's territory is specially massive, something that only happened before in this timeline after generations of hyrulean growth using the Triforce (even when some territories were lost after the prince's issue), in fact both BotW and AoL share the giant maze island at Hyrule's northeast
>this is the only timeline where Ganondorf-Ganon actually resurrects every two minutes like according to the legends told in BotW (resurrected in Oracle of Ages/Seasons after being killed in aLttP, resurrected (and sealed by sages) again between these games and aLbW and resurrected again in TloZ again. Also almost resurrected AGAIN in AoL).
>by simply discarting the adult timeline because the old Hyrule still exists and the child timeline because Ruto became a sage, the only timeline that can possibly fit in BotW
BotW happens in the downfall timeline and you can't possibly prove me wrong.

>inb4 they said all timelines merge into BotW!
No, they said a lot stuff, that they don't think that much about the timeline when making the games, that the fans should make their own theories, that it's too soon to officially confirm any timeline for BotW... but they never said all timelines combined, and the official site never states this either, it only says every other Zelda game happens in the distant past when compared to BotW, but never states all these games and BotW share world.

>giving a fraction of shit about Zelda lore
even Mario "lore" has more depth to it

BotW takes place in the child timeline, FS and FSA are non-canon, and the Zora know about Ruto becoming a sage from the adult timeline because Link told people what happened in it when he went back in time at the end of OoT.

>canon games aren't canon because I say so
>the zora wrote about something that happened in other timeline like if happened in their own timeline
>also Link casually told people about what happened in the dystopian future he visited lol

Games like FS, FSA and Tri Force Heroes are very clearly non-canon, they're just haphazardly tossed into the timeline to appease autism.

>brand new Ganondorf
That doesn’t make sense. There’s only one person named Ganondorf but his demon form Ganon has been resurrected dozens of times

>BotW happens in the downfall timeline and you can't possibly prove me wrong.
I was always fine with that. The OoT replacement sages never became sages or became famous in the child line, so there would be no places named after them in the child line. The adult line just flat doesn't have this Hyrule anymore. Downfall is all that exists after that.

This.
>the great ape war
>time travel shanigans in Yoshi’s Island/ Partners in Time

BotW's map is full of names from the three timelines and even things that don't make any sense, like Koholint Island. The names aren't an argument for or against anything.

Who is Koholint named after? Nobody. As long as a place isn't named after someone that was essential to Link's quest, why would anyone assume it only existed in one timeline? There is nothing special about the natural landscape in that way. Before the split, there are all using the identical same landscape.

>they aren't canon I swear, ignore official sources!

Ganondorf and Ganon are two sides of the same coin and they ALWAYS are the same across ages, the only exception is the one from FSA who only appears as Ganon but was canonically born as a new Ganondorf, he only adquired the Ganon form after steal the demonic trident from the piramid of power of Gerudo's desert

Then that’s fucking stupid. It doesn’t make sense for there to be multiple Ganondorfs. The 3 that appear in OOT WW and TP are all the exact same person

Which is why FSA is non-canon.

FSA is cracked in every way. Characters that should have never existed in the same time and place are together. Vatti is around, even though he was blatantly killed in Minish Cap. The Dark World has been reduced to a benign puzzle mechanic.

I can't imagine giving a shit about the Zelda timeline. Nintendo just makes shit up and people try to make sense of it for some reason

>my brain can't possibly comprehend this so it's not real
I'm sorry Nintendo fucked your mind with Hyrule Historia and Hyrule Encyclopedia confirming FSA is as valid as FS, MC, OoT and the others for Zelda's canon

Explain how a second Ganondorf makes sense

>zelda timeline
lmao. Unless a game has a direct sequel/prequel it is its own thing and any mention of a timeline is simply a dismissive answer to get the loud annoying autists to shut up.
Literally nobody but them takes it seriously.

First, it makes as much sense as the other reincarnations of the series (not only Link and Zelda but even other characters like fucking Tingle reincarnate across time) and second what if I didn't?, I'm not Aonuma, Miyamoto nor anyone working on the franchise, no one in this thread decides what's canon and what's not, but the guys who do already put FSA in the canon position as other games. Cope.

Skyward Sword is a prequel to the entire series.
Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are all sequels to Ocarina of Time.
Ocarina of Time is a prequel to A Link to the Past, which is a prequel to TLoZ, which has a sequel in Zelda 2.
Explain how there isn't a timeline.
