As someone who minored in cryptography, that isn't true at all. The source code can allow you to spot flaws that might have taken longer to find otherwise, but a well made security scheme assumes that the attacker knows basically everything. It's all about making forcing the attacker to take an unreasonably long time to unravel your protection.

Codex just has some old denuvo source code. It's updated to combat new cracks all the time, which is what makes it difficult to crack.
tl;dr they have some old code and were able crack some older titles. New ones are still uncrackable for now.
