While its better than WoW solely due to the fact that its focused more on the story at the end of the day many players just treat it as an MMO given that the story ranks as medicore among actual Single Player games. It's a themepark and at the end of the day the endgame is all you will have and the reason why WoW and XIV will always be plagued with people running out of things to do on Day 1 of a patch.

The issue is the developers pad the ever loving fuck out of the story for no good reason, if they took the Guild Wars 2 approach and had the story play out without unnecessary padding it would be far better. I can say I enjoyed Guild Wars 2 season 4 far more than FFXIV 4.x because of the lack of padding, despite it being far shorter.

Nah your MSQ progress remains the same in the character, you can just go to the conjurer trainer in Gridania and unlock it then swap to it.

Class and job quests are a different story. Those are class-specific and unlock at intervals of 5 (until the expansions).

I played it in heavensward on my old account and leveled it again to 70 on my new account, I've been there for the lows. I've put in my time.

If you make a new character then yes, start over.
Remember that you can literally be any job/class you want with just 1 character.

You can change classes starting at level 15. It's just: >level 1 class to 15 to unlock getting more

You could restart if you really wanted to for maximum EXP since you'd start at level 1 when you take on any new job.

I'm an all orange sam and yes. That's literally all there's left of samurai. Removing hagakure was a mistake and that killed the job for me.

Job quests are independent of your MSQ but you have a unique set of three pre-15 quests depending on where the job you started with is situated

You can, but you'll miss out on abilities for your class/job if you skip over your class quests. A lot of these are integral to your kit, not just on white mage, but on EVERY job.

I only recommend blasting through and catching up with the job quests if you're leveling more classes with the power grinding zones.

No, you're in FoF for every RoF window because of the 10% damage bonus stacking multiplicatively with RoF and GL3, then you're in FoF for a few GCDs after that until your next coeurl GCD after RoF wears off. Your opener doesn't enter GL4 until ~35 seconds into the fight.

His line of thinking for adding the Fist of Fire upgrade trait 2 levels before GL4's trait was "this will help players who can't maintain GL4 or can't handle how fast GL4 is do more damage", and didn't consider how it would interact with the rest of the kit at all.
