Gamefreak are obviously fucking tired of working on Pokémon for ~25 years and have become incredibly lazy. Pokémon needs some fresh blood.

I'd 100% accept not having all the Pokemon in the game, if it was a more story focused game like the GC titles.
As is now we need a new Stadium to make up for the fact there is no official Pokemon game you can play with all the Pokemon in it

Gamefreak is doing what they did for sun and moon; releasing a shitty version with no bells or whistles then suckering everyone into buying the "enhanced" version a year or so down the road that has barely any differences besides some shit that should have been in the first release.

Gamefreak practically invented the whole "we'll do better next time" formula. Shit, they practically showed Bethseda how to get people to buy the same game fives times in a row with releases and bullshit nostalgia gimmicks. No one should be shocked that Gamefreak is still doing this kind of bullshit; it's what made pokemon a household name and one of the most powerful brands ever to exist.
