How the fuck can you "forget" one of the most fun and replayable games on the planet? That's just not possible.

If you mean the original 3 DOOM games then yeah they’re timeless. Somehow they still manage to be atmospheric and tense and the controls feel perfect. 10/10 games.

Doom is top fun. Once I get done with the DTWID mapset, I'm not sure what .wad I'll go for next. Part of me is tempted to try out one of the Brutal Doom spin-offs.

It's pretty good yeah.
The crude simplification would be "Doom, but in medieval style world w/ magic!", but there's a bit more to them than that. You can even find some sliiight metroidvania vibes in them.

It's weird how they can't seem to get that right anymore. It was an issue in D3 already
D64 did something different and made the gun look and sound more electronic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

In general though, D2016's audio design was shit.
